    I would consider a goat or lamb for greenery control , after you put up a barrier fence around vegetable garden

      Even a cow if you want milk. We forget that cows are very efficient grass eaters because we use industrial feed lots instead of natural grazing to raise them.

      @@marcvdfv8431 you got me there. Didn’t think of that. On the other hand if you raise a cow outside on the land, do you think they can’t handle themselves. Cows aren’t stupid unless they’ve been raised in a stall. Look at the grazing cows in the mountains of Switzerland. Why don’t they fall off a cliff? because it’s all they know. In America, grazing cattle travel in rough terrain with gullies on the run and don’t hurt themselves. I’m no cowboy either but I would think if raised in that environment they would be ok.

      It's less work and cheaper to cut back the greenery every now and then than to buy, house, feed and care for living creatures - especially if you have no experience.

    • @gilleschercuitte4255
      @gilleschercuitte4255 Месяц назад +3

      @@jen.... while using a gas engine to do it. I can’t agree. There is actually minimal work to have animals then to garden for instance. Growing vegetables is incredibly labour intensive while a few animals can be fed by what’s around them. I was even thinking that she could borrow a few goats or sheep from a nearby shepard once in a while to do the job if she didn’t want the full responsibility. This way she could be away and not worry about having someone come in to care for her animals.

    Whew! Now I can breathe----watching you and your friends struggle to make the septic system's connections left me breathless. I am not familiar with the European connection systems so I was a bit baffled (but that's not unusual for me) so I was cheering when the last piece fell into place. Don't ever doubt yourself, Maya----you are one determined lady and I doubt anything will stop you from achieving your dreams. Rock on, Maya!

    Hi, a great job especially given the limited availability of the fittings you needed. Both Floplast and Marley make adjustable bends for 110mm underground drainage in the UK. Also here we use an orange pipe which has a thicker wall thickness for underground than the grey which is used above ground. But each county has their own rules and traditions.

      This is same in most countries it depend on manufacturer.. thin HT grey plastic PVC is for indoor aplication and orange ones KG is more durable for outside. . In this case when grey HT is under road some stone demage it and you must dig it out whole again.

    Good job, Maya. If your friend helping you knows, at the big drop where there was a 90 degree bend, that should be a wye or tee instead the 90, so a clean-out pipe and cap can be installed up to ground level or higher..That way if something stops up the drop pipe or lower, it can rooted clean. For future information, always use sewer sweeps [large radius 90] or two 45 degree bends when making a turn.. And, in DWV drain pipe and SDR35 sewer pipe,, they do make 22.5 degree bends. But, in your rocky soil conditions, they would need a sand bedding and covering for protection.

    There is a special waterbase grease for this pipes, if not, regular liquid soap works, also avoid using 90 degree angles on drainage pipes, it could get clogged very often. Some service pits also could make life easier later.
