I remember when u didn't have that Milwaukee Ratchet. Less work now but even so it is complex. I prefer video like this so I can see step by step and others can learn as well. Thanks for sharing. This video is GOLD.
Bonsoir Kevin, quelle force que tu as des bras le cou incroyable Tu es le meilleur dans ce domaine ! Bravo félicitation 😉 Vivement les prochaine videos !!!!
The flywheel is dual mass and when it goes bad it's got a knock on cold start, even if it's good and you only need to change the clutch, it's recommended to change the flywheel as well, a while you are there job because sooner or later it will go bad with the new clutch
@@SuperBijoux Mostly Kevin-Albert replaces both the fly wheel and and pressure plate, but I have seen that in some cases he does not. I have also seen him rocking the fly wheel before deciding if to replace or not replace it. What makes him decide?
I always replace them regardless. Otherwise it’s false economy. But I alway like to check how bad they are. Sometimes they are still ok. But I wouldn’t chance it.
@@WMCS 1) How do you decide if a fly wheel is good or bad, when you rock it, and 2) what happens/could happen if I do not replace a fly wheel which is bad.
Hi Mate, is your electric ratchet 1/2" or 3/8". I am thinking of buying a Milwaukee one. Also, I am about to do a clutch on a Passat just as that one on a two post lift ramp. Autodata says that you have to remove the subframe, clearly you didn't. Do you think that it will be much different doing the job on a ramo?
@@WMCS thank you Mate. Just another quick question. It seems that every time I replace a clutch the pedal goes very soft, I always bleed the system using the Sealy pump to get all the air out. It works fine but the pedal goes very soft. Any ideas? I would appreciate your answer.
Hi, do you need the other tool for Sachs self adjusting clutch? I have same car and bought same clutch and dmf and been told I need other tool than you used in this video? True or false?😅
@@WMCS I saw that video it’s actually saved to my favourites ❤️ BMW 4 series Msport ❤️ I think you recorded it on a Saturday when you were returning a few clutch’s to Euro Parts……

What an awful engine unit to work on... Remove this take away that... Think I shall stick to old British motorcycles.... You however are a clutch maestro.
Amazing, your camera positioning and attention to detail is so helpful
Thank you

It’s made such a difference in work speed. So much so that I’ve got two spare ones.
Que bom que não está chovendo! Frio e chuva ninguém merece.

Thank you very much The world need a good man like you
1000 times thank you
Great work! Sachs or LUK which one is better?
very comprehensive, you are a master in mechanics.
Yet again Kevin, great job and attention to detail. 👍 👍

Hi 👋, as usual, nice job.
Don't know why, but it is vers relaxing to watch clutch job 🙂
Thank you
Is it true to replace clutch pedal master cyclinder you need to get the gear box out ?
is the work same on 5speed or bigger 6speed gearbox?
u do a very good job! would you recommend sachs over Luk?
Both are equally good.
Hello. Nice work again. I'd like to know why you take off the half-axis bowl 10:40 and then you return 52:22? Thanks Petr
Hi, it must be to pass the subframe at the reinstallation.
That’s it. So it doesn’t get stuck behind the flywheel. Makes life very very easy.
The fly wheel is fairly expensive, so Kevin, how do you decide if you need to replace also that, or only the pressure plate?

Just replace the flywheel end of
Or else be prepared to take the gearbox out again 3 to 6 months later

It’s a 3/8. 1/2 drive is too big

Did it ever happen to break a connector cable or something ? I got a golf5 and they and some connectors are so old and crusty
All good.
Why did you disconnect the positive terminal on the battery before you start dismantling?
It was the closet to get to.
Starter motor was gonna be removed. So it made a little bit of sense to do that.
@@WMCS ah ok, thought it might be an electrical bridging/earthing issue. Thanks for replying.
hello i like your work! What liquid do you use to clean the clutch?
It’s brake fluid mate.
@@WMCS thank you

I want to change flywheel and clutch on my own passat b6 2007 2.0 tdi 6 gears manually, how much time do i use? Difficult to do it myself?
For me personally it takes about 4hrs.

Apart from the finger missing from the pressure plate
