Just got the 93, the boat i bought had 1 but the seller kept it. But left the transducer and the mount, on the boat. So I bought thr 93 and hopefully all I gotta do is pop in the head unit.
Thanks for the video, very helpful and exactly the River I fish so even more beneficial for me!!! Where on Susqy were you doing video? Very curious about the maps you can download from Garmin for the specific areas of rivers people have uploaded. I’m usually fishing north branch, laceyville/falls PA. Thanks again
I was up between Wyalusing and Wysox. Through the Garmin QuickDraw community you can find some maps. Some bigger then others. There is also a select few locations that have Garmin premade maps done professionally
Side view is a awesome tool. However if your not deeper than 5' at least it's not super helpful. At shallow depths it doesn't have the ability to shoot too far out to the sides.
@@TheBeardedBoater thanks for the reply. I really don't know what the depth of the lake is but I don't think it's very deep. I just bought a kayak and I was thinking the Sideview would see farther to the sides then standard sonar.
@@onlymyopiniontech it will definitely help in doing that. You'll find where it shines and where it doesn't. Overall I think it's worth it. Plus you'll have the maps at your disposal too.
Unfortunately I can't speak much to Lawrence. Haven't used one yet. They seem to have very competitive models. Their models are also often found on sale at bass pro. I've had pretty good luck with the Garmin in deep water though.
What network are you trying to connect to? To add contour maps, connect to your phone. You can transfer the maps from your phone to the unit. Sorry to hear your frustrations! Technology definitely can do that!
I got a 73sv recently from BPS for $500. Usually priced @ $900. Just started using it and I love it!
No going back now! Good luck!

Should be good to go then! Keep an eye out on marketplace, sometimes you can find a head unit only for pretty cheap.
These are great units. I have them on my ice fishing bundles with my Livescope.
I have livescope on my unit now too. Great combo, would like a larger screen though
Will this Model work with the Garmin GT15M Transducer ? I am interested in this Model but i'd like to use a In-Hull Transducer -- Thanks in advance.
Don't want to give you wrong info, I'm not completely sure.

That’s perfect that’s the area I go roughly. Anywhere from falls up through Meshoppen / Laceyville. This is on sale today thru west marine for 399!!!!
hi. what is the difference between echomap UHD 73sv and 72 sv. thanks
Honestly could not tell you.
A couple of the lakes I will be fishing are probably less than 10' deep. Based on what you're saying wouldn't side view be the best was to go?
