    Thank you so very much Sir for this video, I just purchased the UHD2 93sv yesterday and you are the ONLY person I have found to have a video on how to operate this unit. I'm in Michigan and waiting for the weather to change so I can get this installed on my boat and get out on the water and put it to use. It's replacing a SIMRAD GO9 XSE, it is a good unit, for those who like SIMRAD, however, it's just not for me, I like the ease of use with the Garmin better. I look forward to future videos on the UHD2 93sv. Tight Lines!!

    I notice you also have the GPSMAP 1022 is this one better then uhd2 or is it for videos

    • @FloppingCrappie
      @FloppingCrappie  8 месяцев назад

      No, the gpsmap 1022 has the same pixels but it does not have sonar capability (no sidevu/ downvu) other than a livescope connection. If you're looking for a livescope only screen the 1022 is a great option, but if you want to use mapping and sonar (sidevu) then the 93sv is the way to go

      @@FloppingCrappie I would like to know is the 93 uhd2 screen as good has the 1022 when it comes to livescope knowing that the 1022 have a faster processor

    • @FloppingCrappie
      @FloppingCrappie  8 месяцев назад

      @daviddincler7494 I honestly can't tell if there is a difference in processing speed between the two units. I used the 93sv for with livescope for a few years before getting the 10-inch screens (1022 and 1042). All three units keep up with real-time images (no lagging between what your lure is doing vs. what you see on the screen. If you have the budget, I would recommend either the 1022 or 1042 due to the touch control knob (zoom feature/gain settings) and slightly larger screen.

    I've not had a good experience with this unit. I have no doubt it's very capable....that's rarely a problem these days. But, it's one of the most unintuitive pieces of gear I've purchased in quiet a while. It was a VERY strong recommendation from my mechanic. I've been out of the game for a while, and didn't know what the "best on the market" was. I could care less about Forward Facing Sonar. I'd like fundamental down or side imagine capabilities, and depth/contour charts. That said, I also had to purchase a $200 addition to be able to see the lake graphs for Florida. But, I digress...
    What I want to know is when pulling up the maps/charts after downloading, and registering the Navionics package, for my area....why can't I see the depth contours of the various lakes (Florida in my case). I only seem to be able to see the contours of the few lakes I've actually been on. I tried pulling up Okeechobee, and Toho, and it showed nothing (as far as contour graphs go). Do you know if there's an explanation for this? Thanks.

    Good morning Davis
    I recently subscribed to your channel. Love your videos.
    I purchased my first lithium battery and charger. My battery has the spade style terminals. Do they make “marine grade” female spade terminals for wiring? I’ve watched several videos online and they recommend running 10 or 12 gauge wire and to use marine wire. They always show wiring up to a full size battery and using large terminals. 10 or even 12 gauge wire is good size and Im concerned finding terminals that will fit the terminals on the small lithium battery. Any info or help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Where is the best place to mount the transducer and livescan?

    • @FloppingCrappie
      @FloppingCrappie  Год назад +3

      The regular transducer is normally mounting on the transom (typically starboard side of engine) or the trolling motor. The livescope transducer can be mounted on the trolling motor shaft or you can order a seperate pole to mount the livescope transducer and place it anywhere on your boat.

    My Pro Team 175 doesn’t have room for a third battery. If I were to purchase a 3rd battery how big would I need to get if it is solely for the Garmin? I have a couple compartments in the back of the boat that may fit another battery if it isn’t too large. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      If you get the 93sv (no livescope), you will be able to run a 12ah lithium all day. The 12ah lithium I use for ice fishing are made by enduropowerbatteries.com. dimensions are roughly 6x4x4. If you run a livescope I would recommend a 24ah to 36ah battery. These are still much smaller than a normal 100ah boat battery.
