Very informative and as interesting, as always Alex. You have the thanks of a 77 year old 'devotee'; one who is barely capable of digging the wax out of his ear. 😁
@@jimconnell8994 Very true Jim. Much prefer this channel to all other detecting videos. Alex should have many more subscribers. I also watch 'Cleggy', however he uses the same phrases every video. Becomes boring after a time. Good luck to 'ye'.
Great work Alex, picture quality and production ever improving! Excellent drone shots (as opposed to simply droning on, as some sites do)! and the opportunity to learn something! So many treasures underfoot, just have to find them! Keep it up, Martin.
I started this for shorter, snappier vids that don’t really work on my other channel ( for the more heroic longer stuff!) thanks for watching MM and All the Best, Alexander
I know the mind boggles... I mean those ones were minted a hundred years or so earlier than even the Celtic ones we find... Thanks for watching Hunter and hope all well
Hi Alexander, thank you so much for yet another great video. That elusive Aureas has got to come sooner or later methinks... Ps. Love the intro music. All the very best, Gary
Still not too cold.. yet... bit parky this morning though... ( you will have to look that up that word parky!!! I bet it is not a common adjective over there... not very common over here!) Hope all well Tim!
Awesome finds Alexander, I must get out soon again been hot here and haven't gone out for a while now. But we are expecting some cooler weather soon🤞. Oh yeah Romans and Hammereds and a nice little belt slide was it. Great video always Alexander. Hope all is well up there, all good downunder.👍✌️🦘🇦🇺
Yes I agree it is almost mystical how finds come up. You can search diligently and get nothing but when you don,t expect it the great finds happen. 👍looks like 25kHz is picking out the small hammered’s.
It sure is Amanda and that was rather a wonderful afternoon; very dreary and gloomy to start with thrn the fog just lifted and was rather beautiful at the end! Hope all well and thanks for watching!
Well done on the silver Roman 👏 got my first Roman silver on Sunday at Colchester local to me it’s a Sabina denarius one of the group ID it for me 😊 great day for you triple silver 🤩🤩very enjoyable video as always
Thanks John and i git your photo sorry for not reply, ing i am not sure what it is but reckon there is enough to go on so will put my mind to it when i get a good chunk of time! All the Best, Alexander
Alexander, that delta blues guitar backing is epic. Yet another array of great finds, with that denarius outstanding. Now that you have two from that field , fingers crossed there may be more.🤩👍🎸🪙
Nice video Ally, the interference may be something to do with the moisture in the air as it looked a little foggy, I loved the the reverse of the Roman coin very gladiatorial lol, ps I would love the details of the breeder of your Tasci if possible all the best, Terry.
Yes Terry definitely - I will call him in the morning and see if he is taking orders or just available for a chat! They are bred to be tough dogs though be warned! I'lll get back to you AllyX
@@HolzhammerLite Not worried about the toughness Ally I think thats what you want in a good Terrier, we have had Staffordshire Bull Terriers for years. will look forward to you getting back to me, Terry.
Do you know what that’s the best word for it, erratic … but they are quite fun, areas like that aren’t they? And they keep you on your toes! Hope all well Paul thank you for watching!
@@HolzhammerLite Yes, we have a field like it. It's on a downturn with the last deep plough it had last year so everything has gone deep, deep undercover, though I've found a tiny roman pendant of a basic male form of it this season.
Howdy peeps, smashing stuff Alex, how good are those gladiator depictions ,I often wonder what the real intention / meaning of such action scenes were? Was it a form of propaganda ? Cheers, G👍🙏🙋🏻♂️
No its a great story Garry you will have to look him up Mincius Thermus I think he was ... a consul seen here himself protecting a fallen comrade - I will have to re-research it myself I' will do it later; Hope all well1
This one's is foe shorter no nonsense videos! If I put that type on the other one they don't work very well - and thanks for the patron tip but I don't want to go down the route of asking people to pay... there is a "super thank"s thing on the other channel but no-one has used it! DON'T you dare by the way i will send it back!!!! 😂
Not an awful lot no Thijs - but then if land turns out to be good I do! In my experience the better something looks "on paper" the more disappointed you will be and vice versa!!!
Fantastic Alex. Those republican denarii are an enigma. Did they circulate for that long, or were they tucked away in some family’s hoard? Or maybe in some Briton’s hoard pre conquest?
I think they may well have been tucked away as the silver content was so high in them... hadn't thought about them being possible in a Briton's hoard but why not - good point! Hope all well Wayne and thanks for watching!
Humm i totally understand your reservations with asking people for money!.. a podcaster and all out legend i follow called "blind boy" puts it rather Nicley.... He just says if you enjoy my content and would be happy to buy me a beer or a coffee then please do, if not then please continue to listen/watch for free! I've got a feeling you haven't taken into account the value of your videos. They must take ages! and I genuinely get excited and look forward to watching them! I'm sure many others do too... Lastly if you had a patron option it wouldn't necessarily have to just be for nothing.. you could give first access to you videos to you patrons.. do tiny give aways! Invite your patrons on to one of those Roman fields ha! just kidding!!. Anyway I hope you channels takes off hugely and it starts paying the bills asap!! Because I'll miss it if not!!!
I have cleared an area of my land of harmful metal objects with my metal detector. Its scanning the land now with no bleeps and its taken 2 months.I am now finding bits of plastic which the detector cannot find - i spot them and remove them and its very tedious.Does anybody know if plastic scanners exist ? Is there such a thing that could work like a metal detector but for plastics ? Thanks
I don't know I'm afraid feeltheforce I think you will have to just remove it all as and when you come across it... sounds like hard work but good luck! All the Best, Alexander
I Don’t give a monkeys if I don’t find anything unless I am trying to put a video together! Fortunately there are plenty of metal detecting videos on RUclips of people finding nothing to keep you happy Robert so fill yer boots
Thanks for sharing.

LOL Ally, I think the best part of your finding a Republic, is your absolute glee.Made me smile.

Good work putting up with the trash to find those couple of gems, indeed it's knowing a nice surprise could come at any time is a good incentive 👏👍
