You can see the women being interviewed have this natural high given by daunting work. But they also look happy. Probably a very rewarding thing to try for anybody.

I am a middle-aged woman 40 and my daughter is grown out of the house I know everything there is to know about apes and would love to learn more. Whenever you are ready I would happily volunteered to come work with these wonderful Apes and devote my life totally to them will give up everything here and go there to make a good live and a huge difference. We could even do it on a trial basis so you can see what I'm made of but I know I'm a hard worker and would love each and every one of these orangutan as if it were my own all you have to do is give me a phone or text back. Thank you very much you won't regret it!
I think you would have to move there and THEN try to get in, otherwise it really just looks like foreigners can only volunteer for a week or two at a time and no contact w/ the Orangutans. Of course right now the Orangutans are being isolated from any outsiders due to the WuFlu. The only people I've ever seen actually working with the orphan Orangutans in any of the vids or shows have been locals or biologists from overseas doing research.
