Oh yes. Astoria is one of the most charming places. The bridge is something to be photographed over and over again in all kinds of light. I've been here 4 years and have taken thousands of photographs and am still 'wowed' by it. The changing weather makes for wonderful light effects that you have to be in the right spot at the right time to collect. But these moments often make the difference in a mundane photo or a photo of some interest. This is a wonderful area for photographers.
i have been in Astoria, back in 1977, gosh long time ago. went to job corps. and I have always wanted to go back for a visit. iam planning on going back this fall when the weather is still nice. I would like too look up a couple friends if they are still in the area. hope to see you and the beautiful town real soon.
