Riddles is one of my favorite players to watch; streams & competitively. Works hard and grinds out matchups whenever he's bogged down. Let's Go Riddles!
I've always liked playing fgc. Riddles is always my go to on learning the play styles and tips. It's cool seeing him on a whole other level now that he's on liquid.
He has been top 5 so consistent, I still remember when he was Fatality's tier, now he on another level, my boy has been grinding. Still hate the fgc characters lmao

Riddles is definitely the most hungry right now in smash I think that’s why he’s doing so well it’s kinda sappy but I do believe it’s true that being hungry for wins makes people preform better then others just look at real fighting for comparison

@@-Carne-Asada- my buddy plays terry and I’ve been expressing to him that terry is just busted and he always rejects saying mid tier at best so I learned how to play him and all the sudden I’m winning more against him lol
@@-Carne-Asada-I've seen it possible to DI out of the full jab-jab-dunk combo, but it's rare and difficult/unintuitive
@@sethlopez8287 Thats my strategy too! If i keep loosing to a certain character ill play them too. Then you realize their pacing, kill options, ect.
@@BronzeAgePepper I heard it was possible but it certainly cant be true for the bigger bodies. I try to everytime and think ive gotten out like once or twice at early percents.

I don't care what people say, Kazuya is the most hype thing to watch but the most painful thing to play against.
His moves feel so brutal and mid-level gameplay is cool to watch which isn't something you can say with other cast members
Really depends on who u play I play pac so I have no struggles against kazuya
@@sikeyno.8797 it's been almost a year since Kazuya came out, in-person tournaments are only just beginning to get rolling again so maybe his bad matchups are still being figured out but he definitely has some. Pac does seem like a good counter to Kaz on paper.

No. It's the same 5 moves being used and basically always the same combo ending in up smash.

7:11 Riddles didn't do it because it wouldn't have connect, the second punch on Terry's jab is actually two hits, and olimars tiny hotbox made that second hit of the second punch of jab whiff which makes the combo not work.

can someone explain to me why Riddles does that reverse nair onto platform? I'm assuming it hurt box shifts so he can land on plat from a full hop, but air dodge does this and seems a little safer? I could be wrong though
I believe it's an option select iirc. If they hold in the nair covers it, if they go to platform, Kazuya follows for the tech chase
It’s a tech that ferps made to catch every single wake-up option
It's faster than air dodge
It’s called ferp’s tech. It’s 13 frames faster than air dodging onto the platform and allows Kazuya to follow up with a rising demon god fist to electric opponents before they roll, get up attack, etc.
The timing can be hard to get, but Riddles rocks it in his 5th match vs. Zomba during this tournament

How bad can a matchup be when you die off of one interaction? I hear a character saying "Hold my cup of ramen noodles". (She's not solo viable but she is smack down the most current hated characters)
she is absolutely solo viable
@@S1neWav_ Min Min is solo viable if you're really dedicated. She feels like a fully-fledged character but she's still very one-sided in her gameplay so she's going to have matchups where she steamrolls and matchups where she's in a veritable hell.
There’s no ex rising tackle, it’s just a command rising tackle
Now that i think about it tho, it makes sense to call it that since the smash community didnt have a good name for that move. Its always something jank like "down input up B" or "rising tackle input version" on commentary. EX rising tackle distinguishes between up B and command input version cleanly, even if there is no EX moves in smash (that i recall). Same if we started calling kazuya's demon god fist "rising 2" instead of commentators having to come up with a name on the spot.

The Kazuya hate is undeserved. For those who’ve played Tekken, Kazuya has ALWAYS been a high execution character that’s built around the “high risk, high reward” archetype. In T7 (depending on the patch) he ranged anywhere from mid B tier, to low A tier, so his tool kit has always been consistently good, and throughout the Tekken series in general he’s always been regarded as a generally great character.

100% agree. Its helps Bandai Namco works on Smash to really make Kazuya shine.
Plus (kind of like in Tekken), Kazuya has clear flaws and they are really really bad.
I think most Smash Players are unwilling to play patient and focus on the long game
Plus a fair amount of smashers play Smash because they don't like other fighting games like Tekken.
@@robertgeorge4602 they hate how a properly-played Kazuya can blow up stocks without considering his weaknesses, nevermind the execution barrier. Watching a fighting game like Skullgirls, Marvel vs Capcom, or hell, actual Tekken would probably give them a brain aneurysm.

I feel like a lot of people across Smash and FGC constantly rant about characters strengths without considering characters weaknesses or execution demands.
Also, I remember this guy who was arguing about why Melee is so much more difficult than Tekken.
And how the lack of defensive options makes Tekken a simple block and punish game compared to the dynamics of a platform fighter.
For a frame of reference, I enjoy Smash and play it and have played other fighting games like MK, MvC, Kof, SF, and Soul Cal, but Tekken gives me a headache.

Tekken is perfectly balanced as the player has to manually input all of Tekken buttons for one to take full advantage of the character which is heavily difficult especially in competitive play consistently.
Larry you should consider trying to get sponsored by Gorilla Mind instead of Glytch Energy. There stuff is just so underdosed and not very efficacious. Like 3g L-citrulline malate (which isn’t even a real thing, it’s L-citrulline and malic acid in a 2:1 ratio instead of a better 3:1 ratio) which is underdosed and then 175mg caffeine and basically nothing else of note… it’s just… ehhhh. It’s definitely better than the absolute dogshit GFuel but it’s not great. Although taste is another factor; I dunno how good the taste is but yeah

Kazuya is factually the most carried carried character and even though Riddles is extremely skilled, respectful, and cool in general, he is undoubtedly stronger because he plays high-damage characters, especially Kazuya, and every kazuya player in the world is incapable of successfully arguing that they aren't carried and they also factually deserve to be camped and have no fun, I'm not salty I swear. :)
I feel like this is a bait but, my doggy. How is Kazuya more carried than Steve, Pikachu, or Aegis? Kazuya invulnerability is insane, but at least it requires skill. Riddles was already a top player before Kazuya. And the amount of DI reading, option coverage, and the work you have to do to get in makes him not the most carried character in the game. Kazuya plays how every heavy should. Kills you in 2 hits and is terrifying to play against. Imo, if he got a few nerfs, I think he'd be very well balanced
