I’m loving these 2000s throwbacks! 🤘 Meteora was actually the album that prevented me from ending my life so it will always hold a very special place in my heart
@@Armitaged1 I’ve been close to the edge many times, I’m fortunate enough to have a loving family and good friends but man, depression is not a force to be reckoned with
The guitar riff is quite simple yet very powerful as it is tuned down to Drop C#, which is a very good tuning for some heavy Nu-Metal and even Metalcore. But what makes this song even heavier is actually the *BASS guitar* in the background that is also tuned down to Drop D (or C) as well, which gives this song a very powerful heavy punchy groove. This proves once again how important the bass guitar is to create heavy Metal riffs. This is why Bass guitar deserves more respect ! Without Bass it would not be the same!
Idk if anyone can relate but this song is in the movie “Street Dreams” the skateboarding one made by Rob Dyrdek and this was the opening scene when getting chased by the cops. Love this song
Damn there are a lotta kids talkin about jammin to LP in elementary school like damn yall remember that? Lol i was in the 7th-8th grade when i first bought Hybrid Theory. My taste in music would never be the same. Much love, RIP Chester!!
Fk anyone who ever threw shade at the Park. Great band for almost 20 years, every album the entire band evolved and got better and better. Chester’s lyrics and singing was the best its ever been. Shinoda’s music producing and writing was the best its ever been. Fk man, cool video, classic song, good stuff
Always loved Linkin Park!!! Their lyrics always hit so hard especially when I was younger. Chester had amazing feeling in his voice...you could hear his pain...🥺 It was a sad day on this earth when he left. Amazing cover Nik!! 🤘😊🤘
This tone. This is EXACTLY what Linkin Park needs to bring back to their guitars, and all will be well. Nothing wrong with Emily, but they sound like an 80's rock band. I'll be here listening to their first three albums until they bring the heavy instrument tone back
I always remembered watching LP's cool looking guitarist in the Live From Texas DVD with his earphones and thinking to myself "I want to play guitar and look that cool!". He's probably the main reason I picked up a guitar way back in high school...AMAZING cover bro!
There's so much subtlety to the "simple" guitars, like what really gives it the LP sound is that added ninth on the F# chord (557) and on the the chunky added fifth if the B chord in the chorus (535) just gives it that extra CHONK
I haven't watched the video yet at the time of typing this, but this song is my favorite LP song and it means a lot that you covered it, and after having a bad day this definitely made it better.
I grew up listening to Linkin Park. Their music saved my life. I was forced to endure atrocities that no 9 year old should have to endure. I credit HT and Meteora for me still being here today. P.S. Nik, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could react to Versus Me- Control, please. ✌🖤🤘
is this song actually considered easy? damn, and here I thought that by learning 4 chords and a strumming pattern I am supposed to be a guitarist now :D
LP proved that guitars don’t have to be complicated to be great.
Absolutely!!!!
@Yvan Forbes Flores Yeah, nu metal is all about the catchiness, that's what made it so great and appealing.
I'm sure it was LP who proved it 😂😂😂
@@AnthonyWabo It’s RUclips brotha. Don’t take this so literally. 😂
Couldn't agree more, very simply chromatic with dabbles of minor in there 3 strings deep and it works.
This was always one of their more underrated songs, such a banger
Definitely an essential LP track. Anyone who says otherwise is a goddamn liar!
True, girls
Every single song on their first 2 albums is a banger
@@arnienz1962 FACTS
The overall feel and sound of the song makes it easily top 10 LP of all time. Maybe even top 5.
Nik + Linkin Park =
"Not the match we deserve
But the match we need"
nikin park
LinNik Park
Well, Nik + Mike Shinoda will be a banger raprock music anyway.
Chesters lyrics have hit way deeper since his passing. RIP legend.
I couldn't agree more, 🙏🏾
I think it's Mike's lyrics, but I agree
same here😭
RIP

same for me. Listened to it now and its saved me
@@Armitaged1 I was so sad when Chester passed, he saved so many lives but couldn’t save himself
@@kraissl252 I wish he couldve but thoughts overpowered him. Too late to go back. Its scary what depression can do to you

Glad you made it through man! Props! 🤟🏼
It's been a while since I've listened to Linkin Park's old stuff, but no matter how much time goes by I'll always remember every single lyric
Yes. Exactly! 👌
You should listen to "Hybrid theory Tanhayee". It sounds like Linkin park 303030
@@abhishekchatterjee2346 NOPE
One of the hardest hitting LP songs ever
Leave Out All the Rest still the hardest hitting song of LP lyrics wise
@@eetfuk3571 he was talking about the heaviness of the instruments, bass, guitar riffs, chugs, breakdown...
@@alternativerockemo6783 literally the exact reason why I said "lyrics wise".
Nik looks like he’s having a fucking blast playing this song.

3:00 incredible
Meteora was my first LP album back in elementary school. This band's earlier work had a huge impact on my childhood. Thanks for the throwback Nik!!!
Same!
Same
I a hybrid theory person. I think You will love to see 'Hybrid theory Tanhayee"
Yes! A classic Linkin Park song.
Brad Delson is a seriously underated musician. He was so original and creative, LP guitars are amazing and almost always shadowed by the vocals
5-3-5 chord in drop C# is always a heavy hitter. gotta love it.
Probably my favorite song by them and underratedly heavy
This takes me back to 5th grade, what a classic
Meteora most underrated song
1. Easier to run
2. Figure.09
3. Nobody’s listening
can you all of them, Niku san
Nobody’s listening has no guitar lol.

the chorus riff is so underrated... it sounds so sick...
It's crazy how no one's been able to properly replicate their sound. Linkin Park is so iconic.
Checkout Xero Guitar LP.
No one ever will but I think From Ashes To New is pretty good.
i think bmth come close but i think its better that way, replicating other sounds isnt really great
Props to Brad Delson and his techniques. People tag him a mediocre guitarist, but he is also the 2nd mastermind after Mike Shinoda.
Chester was/is my favorite vocalist of all time. RIP.
Linkin Park has so many bangers I’m glad to see still popping up today
Listen this LInkin park banger which popped up today. Its called "hybrid theory tanhayee"

The sound of my high school years
This is so fun to play. If you’re pissed off, play this. You’ll feel a lot better.
This is going to be soo good. I always played this 535 Chord in the Chorus wrong, but I was never able to fix it by myself. Thx
