Simple Design is VERY underrated by them
You might want to consider adding the lower 4th below the root of those descending E-D-C-B power chords. That’s what Jerry does to simulate those chords being an octave lower, as if you’re placing it on a 7 string tuned B standard. Tobin, the bass player, plays a 5 string bass underneath so adding that lower 4th under those power chords adds an element of girth that wouldn’t otherwise be there

This was actually one of the first songs I ever learned on guitar (I’ve been playing since 2000, so right around when this song came out) I’m pretty sure I was taught the wrong way and I haven’t played it in so long that I forgot how to play it. I think I’ll use this video to try and re-learn it.
