Great set, definitely overpriced but has well designed and detailed speeder bike, awesome minifigures and somewhat charming ship which I really like. Can't wait for Andor and more sets based on it. As always solid review David ^^
Great to see you on this channel Star Maks. I like when my favorite Star Wars LEGO builders support each other. There is about six of you I really enjoy watching and I enjoy seeing these comments in the thread. I agree 100% with your comments. This ship is my second favorite set in this wave. The Scythe is my favorite set of this wave. Overall LEGO has overpriced all of their sets and I wish they would stop ratcheting up their prices so much and doing their part help add to the inflation we are seeing in all things. Most of these companies are taking advantage of this inflation to increase their profit margin rather than dealing with higher costs they're absorbing and it is killing ordinary people's buying power. It isn't like any of us got 20% raises over the last couple of years to match this price hike.
I’m also really excited for this set and the show. It’s like a “compact car” version of a gunship; small but tough. The figs look great. Just- yeah. Btw, great point about the price and figure count comparison to the Mando Marauder set.
I originally thought the price was bad but seeing reviews, it lacks in outside size makes up for the inside size tbh. And not to mention the box makes it small. I would love to see this cheaper but this set doesn't have too bad of price
im gonna be honest, im watching this video half asleep and i kinda dozed off until 6 minutes in when you said this was $70. That woke me right up. Wow.
“Mom, can we have minifig-scale LAAT?”, “We have LAAT at home”. *LAAT at home:* In all seriousness, I do like this set despite the price. I really like utilitarian Star Wars vehicles, like the First Order’s Snowspeeder. Wish we could have more figures, but hopefully we see some more in other Andor sets
Prior to AT-TE news dropping there were a lot of Gunship rumours coupled with ambiguity flying about. In retrospect - good chance this set was the catalyst for those rumours.
Although the set is really overpriced i still really like the set and reminds me alot of the republic gunship and i really like it. Minifigures are good but its lacking some extra figures. I highly recommend this set but i think if you were to buy it you should wait for it to be on sale.
My thoughts exactly, this summer wave has been very good with detailing and variety of sets but the price increase makes them less appealing than last years
This set looks so cool! Especially if your a fan of gunships. Maybe we can get a release of a storm trooper battle pack next year to fill in the missing seats
70$ are they out of their damn minds. For that little chunky shit… cmon bro at least 30$ or 40 at most that set is worth. Ima have to go super saiyan now
A surprisingly good set. There wasn't that much hype around this set when it was announced, but after seeing it in up close detail, I think it's one of the better sets of this year.
See I look at it and can see how it's $70 but at the same time it's like do I want to spend $70 for that amount of stuff? No, I don't. It's just not worth it to me.
Great set and pretty good interior space for such a small ship. More space than in the Justifier. Price is a bit much, maybe should be $50, or $60 if there were another one or two minifigures.
Just binge watched the 3 episodes out so far .. had to grab the ship ... those gunship vibes! . Another blue trooper or 2 would have been nice ...Grrrrr
The ship is apparently something called a "tac-pod" (from the Lego Website), I have never seen one outside of Andor promo material, but I think the Republic Era influence can be seen very easily. The set looks awesome, I love the shape and greebling all round, but £70???? No WAY they're doing that, I hope it doesn't set a precent for Lego sets to come... Edit: the ship is called a 'Mobile* Tac-Pod' sorry
I think I would’ve preferred this set to be just the ship (with no speeder) and instead of Cassian and the other guy more minifigs to fill it. If I’m not mistaken this is sort of a dropship, so adding all those seats but no way to fill them is weird, specially since I doubt there’ll be a battle pack of those guys.
This is basically a grey minifigure scale Rep- I mean Imperial Gunship. You can probably add a couple of the ball joint turrets from the AT-TE to the front to make it an actual gunship, and I'll definitely add parts from the 501st Battle Pack to mod it into a 501st Gunship
That looks like an Imperial Transport from X-Wing games. Also why they do a TV-series about some random character from a one movie what nobody remembers ? The Milking menace.
I want to like this set but the price hurts a lot and the ship has less inside space than I had hoped. The dropship look really seemed like it would support some sort of troop bay in the back.
Thanks for another solid review David. Will definitely give this one consideration, but want to see Andor first and maybe see what other sets might be coming. Cost is big barrier. Normally in UK they adjust for currency, like the AT-TE ($140/£120) or even the Obi Wan ship $30/£25). I can't understand why this is $70/£70. It's already pricey so not adjusting for currency means a sale will be the only way I get this one sadly.
I'm modding it into a bounty hunter ship there is space in the back for 1 or 2 carbonite bricks and I'll use the troop bay for a small bed and gun rack
this is honestly one of my favorite sets of all time, i think allot of hate for this came from people not realizing just how BIG this thing is once built
I just don't get the price on this thing. Did they spend extra to make an early set for Andor or something? Even on the box front, the kit looks too small for the box size. Like, theres so much empty space!
2 more minfigs and some sort of other side build/terrain and i wouldn't have had anything to complain about. Will sure get this set, but like the Justifier, will wait that it's on sale.
I'd laugh if the small gap between seats in the back is actually based on the show and there will be a gag about people not having enough leg room. But yeah, propably just build problem
Seems like a lot of the new sets that are coming out need more figs. But I would still be interested in getting them only because they’re Star Wars and the resale value will be good.. wonderful videos, ty for making them…
Looks like a pretty good set I'm surprised. Lego should've added two more figs tho maybe like two stormtroopers or something
Personally, I think it was Clone Troopers in the show.
@@ryotasekai I don’t think the timeline adds up it’s probably a flashback
Maybe a few imperial shock troopers?

It has 679 pieces. Most $70 sets have less or about the same.
I’m also really excited for this set and the show. It’s like a “compact car” version of a gunship; small but tough. The figs look great. Just- yeah.
Btw, great point about the price and figure count comparison to the Mando Marauder set.
this set looks a little small for its price range, even comparing it to last years Mandalorian Starfighter.
I agree
I originally thought the price was bad but seeing reviews, it lacks in outside size makes up for the inside size tbh. And not to mention the box makes it small. I would love to see this cheaper but this set doesn't have too bad of price
agreed
Like sure it’s chunky but I don’t want to have my extra money go to pieces on the inside. Idk if that makes any sense lol.
@@HondaOhnaka i still think its a good looking set though. just a little pricy, maybe another minifig or two would justify it.
It's a cute little set with a nice ship design and speeder bike, but $70? LEGO can fuck right off.
im gonna be honest, im watching this video half asleep and i kinda dozed off until 6 minutes in when you said this was $70. That woke me right up. Wow.

I had the same thing in mind
Look like the razor crest and republic gunship had a baby and this set is what popped out lol
Weird standout but I love the top turret on that ship. It’s so sleek
Been watching since I was 5 and I’m 15 now. Thanks for my childhood and inspiring me to continue to build with LEGO after all these years.
A good if not great set. I was on the fence about it but remembered the GOLDEN rule for collecting: Better to have it than not.
I like it, but I feel like the wings should be slightly longer, atleast compared to the few shots we get of them in the trailer.
Prior to AT-TE news dropping there were a lot of Gunship rumours coupled with ambiguity flying about. In retrospect - good chance this set was the catalyst for those rumours.
I definitely get Imperial dropship vibes from the force unleashed series
At first glance, I thought there were a Bespin guard, Tobias Beckett and Baze Malbus with a weird winged Imperial troop transport in that box...
SAME i keep thinking the blonde guy is tobias
When I first saw this set I was like ehh, but now after the show has ended, now I want this set! Andor was amazing
Only complaint: no stormtroopers ;-;
With the exception of the justifier lego has been doing really amazing interiors this year and I absolutely love to see it
Although the set is really overpriced i still really like the set and reminds me alot of the republic gunship and i really like it.
Minifigures are good but its lacking some extra figures.
I highly recommend this set but i think if you were to buy it you should wait for it to be on sale.
My thoughts exactly, this summer wave has been very good with detailing and variety of sets but the price increase makes them less appealing than last years
I think it looks really neat but way to overpriced i tought it was a 40 dollar set.
I would say a 30$ max $40
@@cristhiangelotimbiano9453 all of the recent $30 sets have under 300 pieces this set more than doubled those
Definitely not $30 lol maybe 10 years ago. I think $50 would have been good
Wow absolutely love the review!
i think luthens ship would make a great set
This is a great set! Thank you for reviewing these sets early for us to decide to get it or not.
really excited for the alternate builds, great sef
Im really looking forward to the show. it looks good
The price is way worse in Australia, it is worth 130$ dollars here
$70 USD converts to only $100 AUD… damn you guys have it rough
I wish we got two more guys in blue uniforms than just 1.
Andor is amazing! I can’t express how good that show was. Highly recommend watch
Nothing can justify that price
This set looks so cool! Especially if your a fan of gunships. Maybe we can get a release of a storm trooper battle pack next year to fill in the missing seats
It looks like i put a republic gunship in the dryer
😂
The dropship works for me because it lines up in my head with the Empire going "We like the LAAT but can we be cheaper?"
70$ are they out of their damn minds. For that little chunky shit… cmon bro at least 30$ or 40 at most that set is worth. Ima have to go super saiyan now
HA HA HA looks like a mini Clone war troop drop carrier LAAT
I guess David has no other choice but to praise this set, Lego did send it to him 😉
No way to justify the price of the set no matter what roll it plays in the series, it's obscene.
This is literally the “We have a gunship at home” set
A surprisingly good set. There wasn't that much hype around this set when it was announced, but after seeing it in up close detail, I think it's one of the better sets of this year.
I bet it’s only in the series for a max of 2 shots
This set is $120 in Australia last time I checked.
See I look at it and can see how it's $70 but at the same time it's like do I want to spend $70 for that amount of stuff? No, I don't. It's just not worth it to me.

Definitely going to build this whilst watching the Andor premier
In Norway it will cost 94 dollars! Every set in Norway is overpriced😑
I feel you bro im from slovenia and its 90 euros
The Andor set I have been wondering what’s gonna be about
Just binge watched the 3 episodes out so far .. had to grab the ship ... those gunship vibes! . Another blue trooper or 2 would have been nice ...Grrrrr

The build is phenomenal. Just wish it wasn't so expensive and didn't have 3 Minifigures.
Lego is really pushing these prices pretty far. Nice set though.
The detail in that Lego set does look rlly good
Everything besides the wings looks like the head of the walker from the clone wars video game that came with the original Xbox.
Definitely interested in that Imperial Tactical transport pod
imo the gray build is an tiny version of the razor crest
I’ve figured out that you slam the set on the table harder based on how excited you are for the set.
Looking forward to Andor as I've always wanted to see more of the espionage side of the rebel alliance.
an extra stormtrooper or two could sway me with this set
Honestly the price isn’t too bad. Considering how LEGO has been with interiors lately for the most part. I’m actually going to pick this up
Love the chibi razor crest. Hate the absolute ridiculous price
I think I would’ve preferred this set to be just the ship (with no speeder) and instead of Cassian and the other guy more minifigs to fill it. It looks like a 5+ Imperial Dropship in grey
My boi the one and only... The legend himself ... Nick Jonas is back to present us w more Lego heat as he goes incognito as Solid Brix Studios!
remember the mandalorian starfighter at $60 also came with just 3 minifigs. And it was considered good value set.
IT'S OVERPRICED ! PERIOD.
It looks like the ship from Despicable Me
Def picking up
The head and hair on the fig can be used for a custom Erik Selvig
That looks like an Imperial Transport from X-Wing games.
Also why they do a TV-series about some random character from a one movie what nobody remembers ? The Milking menace.
A ton of 70 dollar lego sets are only getting 3 mini figs
- Mom, can i get gunship?
- We have gunship at home
Gunship at home:
I want to like this set but the price hurts a lot and the ship has less inside space than I had hoped. The dropship look really seemed like it would support some sort of troop bay in the back.
70 for that 0.0 I had to reply that 3 times that looks like a 45$ set not 70$ that’s crazy
Thanks for another solid review David. Will definitely give this one consideration, but want to see Andor first and maybe see what other sets might be coming. Cost is big barrier. I was really hoping for another UK bargain like the city barn that was $70/£45 but 70/70 is just unreasonable given the exchange rate rn
Idk I love the look but not the price tag if I just add 30 dollars I can get the inquisitor ship and better figs
this is the 1st set im getting for summer

It’s a cool set!! $70 is a bit high for sure by it’s definitely a cool one
Keep up your good work!
I have a feeling this set is gonna be a shelfwarmer
You should do a MOC with the Imperial Assault Hover Tank from Rogue One. I think that would be really cool to make.
Cant wait for the set to come into ireland
Wow that's expensive but it looks good. keep up the good work love ur channel
2 more minfigs and some sort of other side build/terrain and i wouldn't have had anything to complain about. Will sure get this set, but like the Justifier, will wait that it's on sale.
it's an undeniably good looking set, no doubt
but it is a bit too small for 70€ still
I think the ship is the Empire version of the republic gunship but smaller.
I'll probably pick this up when the price drops on amazon
This imperial drop ship is literally the razor crest and republic gunship on steroids
U r a good utuber thanks for the great content
They need to redo the stormtrooper helmet mold to back in the day with the death trooper battle pack set
For the seats in the lower part I’d customize it to make them face the doors it would be a little difficult with the arm space but it could work
If you get rid of the cargo space in the middle and rotate the head rests into that gap it should fit
I'd laugh if the small gap between seats in the back is actually based on the show and there will be a gag about people not having enough leg room.

I don’t know why I thought this was a $50 set, but even then I thought it seemed overpriced and should have been $40
I think you could probably make some clone trooper mini gunships maybe a moc build but it’s really over priced
