70$ is alot but still kinda alright, the 80€ here is kinda rough though ngl. Not getting it unless I find it at a significant discount, even though I like this model alot
Where I live this set currently costs more than the Inquisitor Scythe. Which is kinda crazy. But the reason is simple, this set is only sold by TLG at the moment for €80. As soon as 3rd party retailers get it, it should get a more reasonable price. I really like the set.
It’s just missing a pair of stormtroopers to go in the seats and it would be a good little set. Heck I’d even prefer to ditch the speeder bike build entirely in exchange for a handful of troops to fill all those empty seats!
I really like the looks of this set, my only issue with this and the Scythe is the use of the Speed Champions canopy. I just can';t unsee it as the car canopy. I also thing it has a mistake on Lego's part not putting some non-unique characters in this. If there had been a few troopwers included it would be something I might buy kmore than one of but in this case one is all I will ever need.
In Norway all of the sets are expensive if you buy from LEGO or physical toy stores. But... we do have a few online shops that sell LEGO for way cheaper. Examples: LEGO Prices: The Justifier - 185$ AT-TE Walker- 175$ Inquisitor Transport Scythe - 128$ Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter - 72$ Hoth AT-ST - 66$ Obi-Wan's Starfighter - 43$ Third Party Online: The Justifier - 145$ AT-TE Walker- 140$ Inquisitor Transport Scythe - 92$ Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter - 54$ Hoth AT-ST - 50$ Obi-Wan's Starfighter - 28$ These are the current prices at release and they usually go down a couple bucks later.
One thing I really appreciate about the new Star Wars sets is that they often have actual seat or at least points where the figures are supposed to be sitting in contrast to the new atte or this set we can look at the old atte with a bit of interior space but without any indication of where or how many should fit in there
This set is $129 in Australia. Absolute rort for what it is. If this was priced slightly higher than obiwan starfighter the price would have been easier to accept.
This set should only be purchased at a discount - lego have been pushing their luck with their price changes and I feel that more customers will become deterred by what they're getting for the money they are spending when buying direct
I've built it yesterday and fell in love with it, definitely a set where if you like what you see, you will love what you get (paid full price and don't feel ripped off at all). It helps that I'm a sucker for transport ships, so can't wait to compare it with Scytche. :)
Thanks for the review. It’s a good set, very nicely designed, compact transport. But is it 80€ good? Not to me. I actually saw it built at the Lego store, considered it, saw the price and decided against it. And that was on the day I got the « modular » Sanctum Sanctorum (fun build and great set BTW) Amusingly, I feel the Cassian Andor figures that came with Rogue One sets looked more like Diego Luna. This one feels a bit too much like Obi-Wan Kenobi’s cousin or something.
Honestly it's shocking how well scaled and detailed this is. The price seems a little high, but this is such a well designed and complete looking model, it seems almost justified. I think one or two more security troopers would've been good though.
We shouldve gotten some of the imperialized clone troopers/early stormtroopers in the set seeing as to how this is supposed to be a troop transport/dropship
I've always wanted more medium sized ships from star wars. Maybe a $50 range about this size. The only problem with this set is it's not $50. Then again I haven't held this, maybe it's bigger in person. I haven't been interested in anything Disney has put out lately, so there's nothing going for it in that area. If I had a handful of clone troopers maybe it'd make a good midi sized gunship, but I don't. Because Lego is hella stingy with their canon fodder. At the end of the day, including the speeder it's got seats for 7 figures and we only get three. More stormtroopers.
i didnt really want this set until i watched the show and i was luckily able to get ten dollars off from my vip points so im really excited about getting this set 😁
Again, a whole lot of remarks on the price in the comment section, not so much on the engineering or functions they like, just complaining about the price. I think that cannon on the front looks fantastic and such a simple piece too. Reminds me of a A-10 warthog. Those stud shooters on either side of the turret up top is a super nice touch. They're hidden in there well they don't stand out. The design does look a little awkward but I think it's features make up for it
Before watching or reading anything, I'm gonna guess. Just looking at the thing, I'd pay.. $40 for it. So I'd expect it costs $50. Which means it probably costs $80. But I live in Canada, so it probably costs $100. Let's see how I did... Edit: I was pretty close.
Based on the trailer from last week, this design is accurate to the real chibi-ness of the design, it only fits like two people side to side walking out of the back. It's too bad the back isn't hollow since the trailer shows half a dozen guys walking out of the back. I'm envious of all the people saying they get sets on sale, most things just SELL OUT and I can't get them at all if I dare to wait for prices to drop where I live...
Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought this looked more like a 30 to 40 dollar set in price. I see it is bigger than I thought when you hold it in front of you, but 70 still feels high. It seems good for what it is. Yeah that figure does NOT look like Cassian. The alternate face is a little bit better. Oh, and awesome Octan T-shirt haha.
Very true regarding uk prices- with a little shopping around you can usually get a 20% discount on brand new sets here, and after a month or two it’s easy to get 30% off most things, with a few exceptions.
ActuallyJang, I've seen new sets on discount at release, but only at particular Costco stores. Someone posted a pic of the Inquisitor ship on sale already at Costco for $79.99 I picked up Boba Fetts palace there for $65 not long after release.
80€ is rough but this looks very wholesome. Nice build and I don't even connect to the show in any way. I wish I could say I would get this on discount , but here there are absolutely no discounts on lego 80% of the time.
the thing that is so funny to me about this set is that its well designed, has a good price-per-piece, and comes with three minifigures. It hits on every mark, but the build itself is just so dang small that it looks overpriced
Like the ship. But not the price. Will wait for a sale. You are right, the wings need to be longer (sounds like a "small" mod 😂). And where did you get that shirt? Great job once again!
Honestly as a dutchmen, i feel that €80 is waaaaaay to much and with the scale i feel like €50 at most to be a fair price.. lego must learn to say no to the disney tax since at some point nobody wants to buy lego star wars if you have to pay €100 just for a tiny speeder bike...
Liked your review as always. To me the ship could be maybe an inch longer, for more room say to put the speeder in. An maybe one or two more Imperal minifig. Sad that the price where I live in Canada, is going to be more like $80-$90 dollars. Plus this set can also go with some of the Rogue One sets too.
Ahh, Kenner Mini-Rigs - that takes me right back! I really like this kit and will look out for it for sure. Just wish they'd have provided some plates to cover the underside.
I was into this day-one, and I’ve been so excited that it’s turned out to be better than people expected! Price is still obviously not perfect, could be improved, but it’s nice to be pleased with the value after being unsure about it for the first few months.
This looks like a small razor crest as well. That set is too much for my taste but this looks good. I feel like getting this and moddifying for a custom ship. I got a mandalorian trooper from the old battle back and wanted a good ship for him. I had an idia for a sbip called the Darkstar.
The price of this is certainly a source of contention for the size of this, especially in the UK and Europe. It's awkwardly stuck in a weird position, in that it's a lot more costly than the downscaled but similarly sized or larger X-wing and Slave I, and it's also very dangerously close in price to the much bulkier and larger Inquisitor Scythe. It also costs the same as the Imperial Shuttle too. Tough one cos it does look great and seems a nice space and wallet friendly alternative to the massive costlier Republic Gunship. Just there's a lot of other great sets out there to choose from....
Another great gunship, half a price of Bane's ship. Looking how much dollar is worth today, it's still twice as much as I would be willing to pay for such small craft, but at least design is good, without wasted bulk and bricks.
I can somewhat explain the immediate discounts here in Finland; many times new Lego sets are sold in big hypermarts (equivalent to Walmart I suppose) and they periodically have events where almost EVERYTHING is -20% or so, meaning that new sets can be acquired for a discount very quickly if luck so has it.
I have a question about those diffferent colored bricks that pop up in every model. Why does lego do that? Is it to aid in building the model or just cheaper for lego? I got back into lego after about 30 Plus years, and I don`t remember having those differently colored bricks in my old (1975-1985 ish) sets I used to have, so I`m kinda baffled by them.
I’m sorry but I busted out laughing when you showed the bottom of the ship. That is so sad. It looks like I’m just gonna BrickLink the Andor minifigure (it looks pretty solid with the second face) and the cockpit piece. It really does look like a Chibi version of a Republic Gunship though, good call! 😂
In Switzerland its sold for 109 CHF on the lego website, which is more pr less equals to 109 euro, even on the other European neighbour its "only" 89. I Still feel like I'm getting ripped off and it piss me that lego does such prices
where is this over the atlantic place? lego is NEVER on sale here. if the MRSP is 80 euros, it will be sold for 95. without exception. imagine living in a country where you have a lego factory and you still pay over the MRSP every single time.
This one really reminds me of a Halo Reach falcon, as a small four-seat transport, and I like that. I'm always a sucker for sets with good use of internal space. Plus, I really like how the cannon on top has action features that actually make it look better, bulking it out in a very nice way. The only thing I'd wish for would be bigger wings.
We sometimes get discounts in the UK but I wouldn't put it as often. Even then that's probably because they're so damn unreasonably priced to start with that no one would buy them elsewise. It just makes us have to spend substantially longer to find the set at the price it should have been to begin with. I don't know how LEGO doesn't realize that £ are worth substantially more than $, and that € are not worth less. Really makes it hard to like LEGO as a Brit.
Now that the show has premiered, I find it hilarious that this accommodates the troopers better than the actual ship 😂
I like how everything comes together, but it does look awfully small for the price
Agreed, I feel like, at max, around 45 would’ve been better
70$ is alot but still kinda alright, the 80€ here is kinda rough though ngl. Not getting it unless I find it at a significant discount, even though I like this model alot
Amazing interior, if only LEGO did this for most starwars ships.
Where I live this set currently costs more than the Inquisitor Scythe. Which is kinda crazy. But the reason is simple, this set is only sold by TLG at the moment for €80. As soon as 3rd party retailers get it, it should get a more reasonable price. I really like the set.

I love this set, will get this on clearance. Really like your honesty JANG 👍🏼👏🏼✌🏼
I love how well-designed this is! I'd probably have preferred if it was larger, but for what it is, it's really well-detailed :)
It's way too expensive for its size :/
the prices are getting out of control on these sets
Looks like it’s worth $40-$45 to me. Maybe $50.
In Norway all of the sets are expensive if you buy from LEGO or physical toy stores. But... we do have a few online shops that sell LEGO for way cheaper.
Examples:
LEGO Prices:
The Justifier - 185$
AT-TE Walker- 175$
Inquisitor Transport Scythe - 128$
Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter - 72$
Hoth AT-ST - 66$
Obi-Wan's Starfighter - 43$
Third Party Online:
The Justifier - 145$
AT-TE Walker- 140$
Inquisitor Transport Scythe - 92$
Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter - 54$
Hoth AT-ST - 50$
Obi-Wan's Starfighter - 28$
These are the current prices at release and they usually go down a couple bucks later.
One thing I really appreciate about the new Star Wars sets is that they often have actual seat or at least points where the figures are supposed to be sitting in contrast to the new atte or this set we can look at the old atte with a bit of interior space but without any indication of where or how many should fit in there
I won't buy it, but honestly, it look good and may I say, kinda cute
Another grey ship to add to the pile. Star wars needs some more vibrant, colourful sets
This set is $129 in Australia. Absolute rort for what it is. If this was priced slightly higher than obiwan starfighter the price would have been easier to accept.

It's a really good/pieced together set. $60 would be ideal, but again $90 here is a bit much.
Oh no, the Octan conglomerate has taken over the review sphere.
I just wish it was a little bigger. As far as pieces and figures go, the price checks out for me. But mass-wise, I just can’t justify it.
Such a cute stubby ship! The price is absolutely outrageous though, I expected about half until you mentioned it lol
We shouldve gotten some of the imperialized clone troopers/early stormtroopers in the set seeing as to how this is supposed to be a troop transport/dropship
I don’t think this is Imperial, they would have put a Stormtrooper in if it were.
Glad you addressed the difference in price outside of the US at the end there, it really is way too expensive for what it is here in the UK
Very nice set, I love how clean it is designed. Definitely worth buying!! Thanks for this upload!!
I've always wanted more medium sized ships from star wars. Maybe a $50 range about this size. The only problem with this set is it's not $50. More stormtroopers.
The mass included in this set is way too small for 70 bucks.
In Canada it's 90.00, hard to rationalize the price.
i didnt really want this set until i watched the show and i was luckily able to get ten dollars off from my vip points so im really excited about getting this set 😁
Mom, can we have the Republic Gunship?
We have the Republic Gunship at home.
The Republic Gunship at home:

for the UK / EU prices, you have to take into account that this includes about 20% sales tax
Love the look, just too small for the price for me. Will wait for a sale!
Oh, and awesome Octan T-shirt haha.
in AUS we are charged $130 for this, the $70 USD converstion rate is = $104 AUS dollars :(
In Europe (Germany) its a LEGO Shop exclusive so you'll likely never see it on sale :((
Okay design, but extremely overpriced and and a store exclusive = failled set
Tax is additional to you there in America though, whereas for everyone else, it's already been included in the price.
I love this thing, having a cut-rate gunship would be perfect for my Imperial Remnants.
Very true regarding uk prices- with a little shopping around you can usually get a 20% discount on brand new sets here, and after a month or two it’s easy to get 30% off most things, with a few exceptions.
Now it is 85€ in europe :|
ActuallyJang, I've seen new sets on discount at release, but only at particular Costco stores. Someone posted a pic of the Inquisitor ship on sale already at Costco for $79.99 I picked up Boba Fetts palace there for $65 not long after release.
$70???? What is wrong with LEGO's pricing wow
$50 skip the speeder bike - focus is the transport.
People can easily swap out the green bits with grey.
I love the look of this ship
Realy like the shape of this ship, but the price is a big No-no. 😁
80€ is rough but this looks very wholesome. Nice build and I don't even connect to the show in any way. I wish I could say I would get this on discount , but here there are absolutely no discounts on lego 80% of the time.
Its should havecome with at least 1 more fig for 70
I just got the set two days ago, it’s quite enjoyable!
the thing that is so funny to me about this set is that its well designed, has a good price-per-piece, and comes with three minifigures. It hits on every mark, but the build itself is just so dang small that it looks overpriced
I would have priced it at $49.99.
Question to Starwars experts: is the mobile tac-pod supposed to be a small razor crest by the same starship manufacturer?
Just saw the episode this was featured in. They should have added two more figs for the drop ship.
I want this set but I can’t justify the price. Especially in Aud.
I'll be honest i love this set not to mention the speeder and the mini figures are pretty damn good. Though i'll wait for a sale on it lol
Looks so fun!! :D Great details. Good figs. Buying it for 30$ would be perfect deal!
It kinda looks like a donkey head when he flips the wings up
i thought that too ! it looks like a kenner vehicle!
That's one chibi chonky gunship.
Like the ship. But not the price. Will wait for a sale. You are right, the wings need to be longer (sounds like a "small" mod 😂). And where did you get that shirt? Great job once again!
Not as bad as I thought, also nice T-shirt.
Want this after watching episode 3 of andor 😂
Honestly as a dutchmen, i feel that €80 is waaaaaay to much and with the scale i feel like €50 at most to be a fair price.. lego must learn to say no to the disney tax since at some point nobody wants to buy lego star wars if you have to pay €100 just for a tiny speeder bike...

this reminds me of a trex, it has a big head and little arms
Ahh, Kenner Mini-Rigs - that takes me right back! I really like this kit and will look out for it for sure. Just wish they'd have provided some plates to cover the underside.
It’s the cutest Star Wars ship I’ve ever seen.
Can confirm, we have many stores here in germany where you can get new sets on sale for up to 20%.
Also, love your Octan T-Shirt.
For me in Israel it’s 96 dollars😂
I was into this day-one, and I’ve been so excited that it’s turned out to be better than people expected!
Price is still obviously not perfect, could be improved, but it’s nice to be pleased with the value after being unsure about it for the first few months.

The Diego Luna minifig looks more like the front man of The BeeGees!!
That´s a pretty good looking set
I would not pay £70.
The price of this is certainly a source of contention for the size of this, especially in the UK and Europe. I liked this set when I first saw it, then liked it even more once I watched this review. I finished building it this morning. Great set, fun build!
I still think its overpriced. I get Imperial Marauder vibes from this and that on Walmart Rollback is about half of this set's price. just sayin'
£70 is expensive but I can get a 25% discount through my work which is good which makes it more bearable
Just because of how it looks I'd like to get it. But for £70? Definitely not.
Can anyone tell me some of the websites that are selling discounted sets from this wave? (For UK)
This just doesn’t feel like $70 to me. $50 tops.
That windshield piece would work great for a delorean moc
I have a question about those diffferent colored bricks that pop up in every model. Why does lego do that? Is it to aid in building the model or just cheaper for lego? I rle want this cause it’s very similar to a Lego ship I made as a kid and loved. But it needs to go on DEEP discount
In Switzerland its sold for 109 CHF on the lego website, which is more pr less equals to 109 euro, even on the other European neighbour its "only" 89.
I Still feel like I'm getting ripped off and it piss me that lego does such prices

70 us man its even more expensive in canada i really hope they drop prices, awesome review)
