    Oh man. I hope you didn't burn up any clutches in the trans. Sounds like it was just low trans fluid but it should not rev like that, unless you got a massive stall speed torque converter, but even then you wouldn't see that much slip. I would not drive it again until you get this fixed. Couple of things. You have 2 switches under the dash on steering column. Brake Switch and NSS Switch. If your brake switch has 4 connections, the furthest away from the switch are the TCC side(not hot when brake applied), your torque converter wires should be plugged into those. Front set towards the actual switch is the brake switch(hot when brake applied). This can also cause issues with your torque converter if you don't have this connected properly. Secondly, your NSS switch is connected to your backup lights, ignition switch, starter. This keeps your vehicle from starting in reverse. Pretty important. Make sure you have this connected correctly. I wish I could get you my email so I can help. I have diagrams and etc. if you needed them for this stuff. But more importantly, truck looks great, your almost there!

    • @paulkc10
      @paulkc10  3 года назад +1

      It’s definitely low on fluid after checking that. So that’s first. I’ll have to double check my wiring for the other stuff.

    Paul, nice build but I have a question. As a dealer tech, add lowering steering knuckles and springs, places the tire so close to the fender. Is the length of compression limited to keep from hitting the fender? Is the more about the bumpers hitting inside the SLA assembly or what? It seems to me that something will hit or loose some ride quality? I am serious, I don’t know.
    I had a tiny welded chain steering wheel on a sub-compact I was driving onto the rack one day. Nothing else other than wheels with 1 1/2” adaptors behind them. When I went over the rack, the bump steer almost broke my hands. Even with OEM rack & pinion but + offset wheels & adaptors, things change. PS. Never looked at one or rode in one. Thanks.
