    I know there's almost no useful amphibious tech in this game, but it would be pretty funny for the German naval action to be only a sacrifice to draw British ships away to allow for Sealion.
    Also in one of the missed notifications there was a swing in Bulgaria's alignment towards Central Powers. I'm sure that's still miles away (there's a scripted major shift further only if things go badly for Allies or something like that, which is not the case here) but it if it happens it can spell doom for Serbia as it opens up additional front in east with Ottomans.

      03:14 Obviously, the Central Powers have invested money into the Bulgarian capital Sofia. However, Bulgaria is around 40% tending towards the CP, so still far away from the war. As long as the CP do not capture Belgrade, Bulgaria joining the CP is unlikely. The Entente powers have a structural advantage in the field of diplomacy: more available chits.
      Usually, the Bulgarians join the CP if the Serbian cities Belgrade and Niš have fallen, and the CP are also beleagering Warsaw.

    I do love this series too. Especially THG's narration;)
    Alex really managed to deliver some dramatic turns of events here :)
    BTW, Jutland is in Denmark if I'm correct.

      @thehistoricalgamer yeah, I should have listened to that part again instead of commenting.
      Apparently I'm a typical RUclips commenter;)

    Are you ever going to move the British Corps you have on troop ships sitting in the Mediterranean?

    • @martinsoelsepp5569
      @martinsoelsepp5569 3 дня назад +2

      Forgetting about your troops/to move them is too relatable. His transport will be probably fine tho.

    @Rayrard 2 дня назад +1

    THG, you need to use a turn or two and buy back your lost corps. You get them cheap and faster and they are insurance units for when your front thins like it is in Russia now.

      Old Crow would easily defeat him given THg's more reckless play style

    Like I stated before Germans game over by 1915, the Germans lost too many mines (high MMP's), moved too slowly, too timid, threw away the navies, if players evenly matched the Germans should get 5% bonus MMP's, against AI no bonus, still enjoy watching this game, the new player should always be the Allies.

    Yes, everytime an artillery unit fires in support, it uses ammo

    I wonder if those western forces were bait and the main German HSF is next to Norway waiting to attack next turn. The battles today were in the rain so a clear turn could be devastating. I cant imagine he sent his fleet out piecemeal. The German Army looks very weak in the western front probably because the Austrians are falling apart.

    I think you were stressing the naval battle in the North Sea way too much. This is great for you, even if you trade 1:1. You are also much closer to your bases than he is so can dip back to repair pretty much with impunity while he has to go back all the way to the Helgoland Bight. A lot of his ships in the manifest are also subs, and with 2 Dreads down in the first engagement, pretty sure you have capital superiority in the North Sea.
    EDIT: Also omg please stop fighting with the Russian fleet in the Baltic @.@ These ships are NM that the Russians cannot afford to lose. You also need Italians in front of Trento or your whole Italian Army will be cut off.

    Don't rush into the Carpthians, your supply will be ..bad, and his defense decent.
    Also would not enlarge that Warsaw Salient ya going, till after you've recaptured Königsberg
    You've not the tech or quality of troops to be pushing into both Prussia(West & East) and down into Hungary .. yet
    He's a lot of German Corps ..somewhere on the map.
    Also, Bulgaria moved to the Central Powers, ya caught that right?

  • @paulsnodgrass2849

    question; If you put a Russian Corps on transport could it land at Danzig or another German port that is undefended like a supply port. you may lose it but, man, you would mess with your opponent especially if you use 3 units and a headquarters unit. his fleet and Army would be racing back to the Baltic.

      For sneaky backstabbing amphibious actions, I task detachments; that's cheaper.

    Dear Sir and or Madam
    Ya acted as if Alex had brought out the entire High Seas Fleet ... (he should've :) )
    Do not know if The Neverending Game (War in the Pacific) has given you PTSD
    Strategic Command series, and ya stress over naval battles
    ..still recall your massive hunt for a A.I. controled Musashi
    UK's destroyers are important....too important to waste running 'em headlong into Dreadnoughts & pre-Dreads, when there U-boats right there to be attacked, chasing down phantom ships
    Sea Plane Carrier.... right there

    • @fars8229
      @fars8229 2 дня назад

      The Central Powers can still aim for a draw: As long as Germany does not capitulate, and the Central Powers capture and hold Verdun OR Cairo by November 11th 1918, the Entente cannot win.

    • @thelodrik2182
      @thelodrik2182 2 дня назад

      @fars8229 I understand your meaning and it is true but watch the match and tell me what CP achieved so far? Yes I know, this match is more for fun but it is a little hard to watch. I guess both players do not fully understand the importance of HQ chain, supply level of 5 rule and artillery support. But at the end it is only important for both players to enjoy it. So let's see.

    • @fars8229
      @fars8229 2 дня назад

      @@thelodrik2182 Yes, up to now both sides have bled a lot, but the Entente can sustain the bleeding better. Nevertheless, the Entente has invested little in research, nothing in diplomacy and still has no strategy to win the war. If the CP have invested more wisely in research, if they launch a smashing offensive against the Italians on day one, and focus to take Verdun or Cairo, then they stand a chance to avoid defeat.

      Alex (one playing Central Powers) at the least seemingly knows to use Recon Bombers,then Artillery and then attack
      After years & years The Butcher still just brute forces his way through the Strategic Command game series
