Be happy that you were ahead of the curve. Level Reduction has always been a great way to play Blackwings. Bonus points: Crow has the skill.
@@AhmedX8 This is actually one of the reasons I was playing Level Reduction, Blawing BW outside of Crow is kind of depressing.
I personally also run 1 tornado as a 1 card Sohaya/Onimaru tech incase I go aggro and use the skill early

I’ve played hundreds of duels with this deck. The odds of needing more than 1 Onimaru are so low, so I use 2 Sohaya. If you go first you’ll get board wiped a lot, so it’s nice having another way to special summon Raikiri
What do you do during your turn 1 play? I feel the deck is super vulnerable going first.
Xem It’s definitely worse turn 1 than the Peak Performance version with bb close, but if you don’t have enough for the full combo then I’ll usually make Raikiri or Hawk Joe and Onimaru turn 1 since you don’t need lv reduction to pull it off. Simoon, gale, Harma and Oroshi can make lv 7 and lv 12

Banish raikeri with dm circle when it's summoned, instant surrender
Also keep in mind that a Gale and a Harmattan make an easy level 5 or 8 synchro on their own which is pretty good for all the generic sychros like Stardust Dragon or Armades.

I rerolled for blackwings with starting gens that game gives out for free it's about 4000 i went with it opened boxes got lucky with 2 gales one simoon then I was like ok lets see what happens, then I farmed quiz lvl 1,2,3 and then loaner deck duels had somewhat like 5000 then summoned again I got 2 simoons, my last gale, and 3 blackbird close, was on 7th sky that day then I took whirlwinds from ur dream tiks now summoning for last whirlwind, 140 packs left already got bora damn wish me luck

Was thinking about making a black wing deck. It's hard to decide bc there are just so many different cool kinds of cards in the game. Even if you find the type and archetype of cards you want to play, them most decks like blackwings have so many different cards within the archetype that you then have to decide only so many of those for your deck. I have an elemental/ masked hero deck that is pretty good imo and I also have a decent dark magician and gladiator beast decks that are good just not super consistent yet and I also have the revendread ritual zombies that I love playing but I need to open the box again for doubles and triples so I have a more consistent deck witch seems to be the problem with most of my decks bc it's hard to get doubles and triples of ultra rare cards.

I used to play when the game first came out and I just came to check out the old youtubers I watched. But I wasn’t expecting the game to be soooooooo fucking advanced now. These new summons and strata are fucking crazy.
I've heard allot of talk about this method but I wanted to see some detailed gameplay because I was sceptical about it with how good I was doing with my peak performance deck I'll be trying this out now.
Some days ago I faced a player who was playing this exact same deck and I was using the Peak Performance variation. He went first and built a pretty tough board, just like Dkayed did, and even like that I managed to win (he even surrendered before I could complete my turn).
I'm pretty sure that with another deck I would have had a hard time trying to beat him but the Peak Performance variant is still strong, even in the "mirror" match.
You can also play level reduction with blue eyes to summon Crystron Quariongandrax.
You use level reduction on your blue eyes with your level 1 tuner, if you play protector with the eyes of blue you can double summon one more level 1 tuner from your hand. Its funn
This version is incredibly vulnerable against backrow.
Guys, the skill goes well in this deck, making Blackwings recover plays really quickly in case of their Turn 2 does off. I’ve lost so many times against Blackwings due to the skill.
For once, I can actually make a deck Dkayed features. Even with the number of UR cards.

I used another combo before and without any skill and with all R card
4 cards: kris lv4 no tuner, harmattan lv2 no tuner, stream lv3 tuner, kunai lv5 tuner
Normal summon stream, tribute special for kunai, stream back by tributing the token, special summ kris, raikiri with lv3 and 4, kunai effect---->raikiri lv4, pop 1 card, raikiri+token= sohaya, raikiri back to the field, pop 2 card, onimaru with the 2 synchro, special summon harmattan, no effect, harmatt.+kunai= joe, joe effect return raikiri, pop 2 cards, attack with 6k onimaru
It's easy, only difficoult to explain👍
kunai effect replace skill practically and kunai -1 and steam +2 result 5 cards combo

Im sure they will get a hit most definitely. Like every deck does. They been here way to long to be as consistent as they are. Its time to give them a slap on the wrist. But idk way its going they might just take a crucial hit. Depends on komoney wants to kill it off or keep the money bags coming in for it.

But yea there no doubt cause this going make everyone grab them now and when they stack the money form everyone they hit them and piss all the players who invested into them angry lol. Blackwings is hands down my favorite deck. It’s a glass cannon deck and I love that because it has a lot of outs via disruption (not unstoppable). However, the decks consistency and raw power is unbelievable!
Level Reduction build, while fun, isn't better. It makes Blackwings worse at going first and better at going second. But the deck doesn't struggle going second, so it appreciates the Peak Performance build which helps it be stronger going first.

i've just started, I have some experience, what top tier deck should I build? I was thinking shiranui but idk
shiranui is easy to build. You don't even need the UR Shiranui Squiresaga (it is such a bad card anyway). But what makes this card expensive is that you need a lot a lot (really a lot) of backrows to do well. And they are not cheap: such as floodgate, Raigeki break, Ballista squad or canadia. But for a budget version, you can always use Ultimate Providence since it is a R card. Some also use Bad Aim, Void Trap Hole etc.....
I personally think Raigeki break and Ballista squad are very good for this deck as it helps you to discard the tuners or tribute your tuners to destroy cards especially against Witchcrafter deck.
1. Unlock Odion
2. 3 lava golems, all trap monster cards and chain reaction skill
3. Make every other player ragequit
Ive switched to this format from peak performance pixie necro version.. not sure if 3 cosmic cyclone or 3 blackbird close is better? Cc is good for removing backrow before u make ur plays. And bb close is good for protecting once youve summoned ur synro

It's hard to tell
See, it's a deck of an UR masterpiece, konami tends to limit SR and below cards. It's pretty difficult for konami to ban boss monsters from a box and even an important spell card like black whirlwind. In the DM decks, they didn't go for circle, instead they went for SR magician rod. You'd expect a similar treatment. But this deck has already been balanced, it has dropped to tier 2 now..
My opinion about this is that they won't touch it.. like every single time. Every banlist people yell "NERF BW NERF BW" but it simply doesn't happen... the deck is no longer invincible. Although tons of people expect a nerf, I don't.
I'm a proud owner of this deck and i hope to god nothing happens to it.
What's the best way to deal with your opponent hitting you with a cosmic/mst when going second? I've lost turn one since I couldn't search

it's so expensive though, 3 runs each through 2 main boxes
you get about 4k gems as a new player so it takes weeks of grinding to get there lmao

In reality, you go 2nd and your opponent summon ojama king 1st turn and you're slowly dying from inside because your combo is useless now.
Any combo is useless if your opponent summons Ojama king on turn 1, unless you have a spell or trap card that can get rid of it, so I do not think it counts as a way to counter blackwings

The problem I can see with this build is, worse turn 1, turn 2 it does the same as peak build. Like i play peak build but dont have pixie, i just use star eater instead as an out to if i get lavad going first, or as an oit to sphere kuriboh, the superheavy samurai stuff and so on. My main deck is the same as anyone runs tho and close is one of the mvps in the deck together with cosmic, so I dont see why I should play this version if I want to be competitive. For fun this one is much better tho.
because 1. kaiba and mai are boring characters and if you don't play yugioh for the characters you're lame, 2. crow can actually use a blackwing deck, and 3. players won't hate you because you dont set up necrovalley turn one.

No. We have been playing this deck with peak performance to use Ancient fairy dragon’s and ancient pixie dragon’s effect
It’s literally just a harmattan/onimaru versión like the one people was playing before the necro valley versión the only difference is that this thing doesn’t use the counter and cyclones wich makes it more fragile

I am a Blackwing Main and even I find that they deserve a nerf. If u go second and have a Simon in your hand you basically win 99,99% of time automatically. Limiting simon to 1 would be fair i think

Seeing all these "nerf blackwings" is kinda cringe. All these duels were against 0 backrow week openings. Any meta deck would OTK in these circunstances. Floodgate / karma cut / raigeki break / witchcrafter (only counter is blackbird close which is not even in this deck) / wall of d. If you play a week first turn you are going to die to any meta deck. Think and play the deck before u make assumptions
Exactly, im a blackwing player myself with the pixie necro build.. and 3 bb close.. played ages with that and yes its very weak to those backrows, and annoys me when people say it will get nerfed.. it will not get nerfed it isnt that powerful.. peolle just watch the video and straight away assume its OP when it really isnt.. dk just shows the winninh replays.. i even added 2 floodgates to my bw deck and made it more fun with its own backrow.. so yes to any noob saying OmG BlAcKwiGN$ is GEttINg N3rFeD is a spastic

The only way to play Blackwing is activating Black Whirlwind. There is no other way.

If they got their full combo you lose no matter what you're gonna banish

pinaki is replaced by gale, but is not the same thing. you need pinaki, go level up

I think 3 simonns are necessary. Others can be 2 with replacements.

Sure you can pop 6 cards in a turn but playing this deck without cyclone or a balanced turn 1 is just asking for trouble, i think the peak/harpie build is waay stronger just cause you can end with a necrovaley pixie/AFD turn 1 and maybe even some disruption, you go turn 1 spend your resources just to get black rosed or purgatrio(ed) lol

You can literally counter this deck with almost any meta traps. And besides, Konami will be keeping an eye on this deck very soon now that it has a new way to play that’s just as good or arguably better than Mountain skill. They’re probably doing this as a way to lure a bunch of BW players into KC to find an excuse to ban them.

This combos are crazy strong but I was thinking if opponent sets Carma cut in their turn 1 it is a hard counter if it banishes Raikiri this deck cannot do destruction combos sadly but Cosmic cyclones comes handy if they do not make it limit it to 3 also for Blackwings like Elementsabers.

I find Simoon dead draw. Take them, Pinaki, Oroshi & Harmattan out. Throw in 3 Shura, 3 Canadians, Zephyros & Delta Crow
When you have 3 black whirlwinds Simoon is never a dead draw

I think it runs better with kaiba and peak performance, with simoon you almost have 2 synchros for granted, in first turn.
