  • Welcome back to another exciting restoration journey! Today, we dive deep into the world of classic timepieces, taking on the challenge of bringing a beloved Seiko Diver Watch 7002-700A back to life. This watch has seen better days, suffering multiple damages and daily wear. But with a little patience and skill, we'll restore it to its former glory. Let's see what we can do. Hope you enjoy the restoration!
    First, let's take a closer look at the issues we're dealing with. The crystal is badly scratched, the bezel barely rotates, and the dial has lost its vibrant look. We'll need to address each of these problems step-by-step.
    With the watch disassembled, it's time to start the restoration. The bezel is polished to remove scratches and restore its shine. The crystal is replaced with a brand new one, ensuring a clear view of the dial. Speaking of the dial, we'll clean it gently and touch up any faded areas to bring back its original color.
    Hope you enjoy the restoration 😊

    You put good effort and it bear the fruit. Great restoration there. I am a huge fan of seiko diver's watches. The one is a funky one with the orange dial.

    Very nice to see a resto of a Seiko. This is a watch I can relate to, seeing as I have several of them. Usually watchmaker resto videos are always Rolex, Omega or other mega-bucks watches, so again nice to see a Seiko resto. Great Job!

    Another Seiko 7002 resurrected, great work.
    I bought and serviced a 7002 few months back. Love that it has better quality all steel movement parts and better hands and dials layout than the later version.
    However the imperfection is the bezel has high resistance when turning to 11 o"clock and 4 o"clock position. Don't have the tools and knowledge to fux it. Watchmaker just told me he can't help.

    • @MagicWatchmaking
      @MagicWatchmaking  Месяц назад +3

      The bezel must be removed, cleaned and lubricated again and everything will be good. I assume it collected some dirt underneath the bezel.

    Why is the Watch covered in so much glue ? Was it Originally like this or was it remade like you have now and the previous maker applied glue ? Look Great after your restored. Thanks for sharing 🍀

    • @MagicWatchmaking
      @MagicWatchmaking  Месяц назад

      The last tinkerer glue everything together. The Dial has broken feet… the solution glue 😐 Proper adhesive for for the bezel cost 2$. Glue is cheaper. Originally no glue is needed/used.

    Very nice just like new again, lots of work. I like your tools and equipment you are a very good watch maker. Your elma movement cleaning machine, the expensive one, is it ultra sonic as well as spinning? Thanks and happy holidays to you.

      Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words ☺️
      Ultrasonic cleaning is a process that uses high-frequency sound waves, typically in the range of 20-40 kHz, to clean parts or objects. In addition a cleaning solution is needed. The parts to be cleaned are submerged in a tank filled with a cleaning solution, which is usually water mixed with a detergent or other cleaning agent.

      The Elmasolvex RM is an automatic watch cleaning machine designed for mechanical watches. It features multiple cleaning stations and an integrated dryer, operating through rotation and vibration (do not have ultrasonic) to ensure thorough cleaning of watch movements.

    i think this one would have been better without polishing the case or the new bezel insert and dial. there aren't that many watches like this one left in their original state that are working and there are plenty of new cases on aliexpress that look much better than a polished case for those who want something new.. leaving things like they are and just cleaning them and servicing the movement is better in my opinion for many of these old budget seiko divers. make them work but also let them show their age. the aged, beat up case and bezel with adistressed leather or canvas strap would have made this watch very special.

    Lavoro eseguito in maniera professionale, tuttavia non sono d'accordo con queste restauri, che stravolgono il conservato cattivo o buono che sia... Il 7002 è stato stravolto quadrante After inserti ghiera after. Il quadrante originale si poteva recuperare senza troppi problemi. Detto ciò rimane un bel lavoro eseguito da una persona competente
