Am not sure about Gwiza (Cute)! What i know about Gwiza comes on verb Kugwiza. So this means when you're looking or collecting something, and you end up get what you wanted that means Wagwije. e.g.: Kugwiza used Back in days(even now) when ladies went to look for grass to make traditional mat. That means, they have got enough. So Gwiza mean have a lot of things( but here they meant being wealthy). Thanks

My name is Kayitesi (nicknamed „Tesi/Tessy“). Means „blessed/gifted by life“. I love my siblings’ names: Kamikazi (little queen), Umulisa (old kinyarwanda for beautiful), Kabeja (Name of one of our kings). Other names like „Kiloha“ (name of the founder of the Baloha clan), Kaneza (another one of my names but I don’t know what it means), and „Kwezi“ (Moon) are also beautiful I think

E Queen Elizabeth is the sovereign of United Kingdom and Great Britain while Queen Matilda is the wife of the current monarch of Belgium. So, I think Kamikazi in Kinyarwanda could be either. I think our last queen in Rwanda was commonly called Umwamikazi tho. Rosarie Gicanda.

First of all, Burundi is just another Rwanda... even in ancient times, Burundi was called, 'Rwanda-Rundi', literally translated, Rwanda-the-Other.. the customs and traditions is and were the same, Language is and was the same, Tribes, clans, and like, were and are the same, leaders were the same,... If it hadn't been for all of these insecurities and colonization and such, Rwanda and Burundi would have been United, like Tanganyika and Zanzibar did and made Tanzania..
What does ndacayisaba mean?
First, it's not just one word.. its probably four or five words in one... Nda, and YI are all references...
First thing first, the way I can explain it, Kinyarwanda (spoken in Rwanda), Kirundi (Burundi), and Kinyabwisha (North Kivu, Congo), - pretty much one language, and has same rules...
The rules are, that, you refer to what you are goin to talk and the only thing you mention directly is what you are talking about...
Nda refers nje or Njewe which means, 'me', or ' I ;, or 'I am'...
Ca should be 'cha' but banyarwanda and burundian, and everyone else, have chosen to say 'ca' instead of 'cha'.... but 'ca', means, ' still ', as in, still doing something...
Yi, refers to, anything that is not human... Including, Mana (God, creator, etc)... but in this case, we can safely say, that " yi " is referring to "Mana"... you'll see in a sec...
saba, is a full word, meaning, Ask, seek, and or pray...
putting them all together, they go like this...
I am, Still, God, Praying...
I am still Praying God,
or I am still asking God...

I think because of the k infront of the Keza makes it means something tiny that is beautiful. "akantu keza" - a little tiny beautiful thing. While if it didnt signify something tiny it would translate to mwiza or inkintu kiza. what do you think?

Actually, I know exactly what my name means! "Male virgin" is only one aspect of it. Cleary neither myself nor our "Imanzi" Heroes like Rwigema were named after virgins! It does come from Ubumanzi which is the highest level of virtue one can reach in every aspect of life. That's what I refer to as righteousness. Imanzi were also beauty marks (indasago) made by making cuts on the torso area and the belly of boys or men (much like the guy in black panther!), if we are going for the total explanation! Jah Bless U though!

I have to strongly disagree with that statement. Virginity is not consider heroic, it is considered virtuous. A sign a purity. But that is just one layer of a far more meaningful word. But like I like to say, let's agree to disagree. Cheers, bro!

Hutu and Tutsi speak the same language called Runyarwanda, meaning that they share names.
There are few exceptions of names used mostly by Tutsi only due to their ancient connection with their Bahima ancestors from Ankole, but overall hutu and tutsi tend to share names.

when it comes to names You don't have to start that letter 'A' therefore it become 'Kamikazi' which makes sense to me in kinyarwanda when you drop the whole name down.
