Back then you were soo powerless to do anything. It’s not like today you could just post it on social media n get loads of empathy. Henry was just letting it all out from years of abuse❤
to be abused by cowards who have achieved nothing and will only abuse when backed by their friends is something most of don’t have to experience or tolerate
I’m angry alongside him.. it’s been happening way too long and for Del Piero a legend who goes in peoples top 10’s to start defending his country like that instead of calling them out for it makes my blood boil
Thierry is right “some lousy pictures” before the match and a “no to racism” armband isn’t enough! How can someone actually be sent off for responding to racial abuse…
Calm your castrated balls, libro. Those black earns more in a week than a casual white working male over 10(!) years. And it cries for racism? And your kind defend that one? I have to endure the racism of coloreds every day for far less money and absolutely no protection.
The irony to this is that people who questioned the effectiveness of the virtual signaling (the armbands, the kneeling) on the pitch were called racist - the common folk who use their hard earned money to purchase tickets - and even were deemed unfit to be in the stadium. Some English fans wanted these people who weren't going along with it in the crowd to be doxxed and to be banned. "There's a bunch of cameras in the stadium, so use them to identify the people who aren't with us." I paraphrase.
The fact that Thierry Henry and Micah Richards, some of the most positive and smiling people on this planet are not smiling for a millisecond during this conversation. It shows how severe and how actual the racism in football still is today. Not only in Italy, but in all countries and in all competitions.
Oh come on you know it’s just a show. What you see on camera is just a masquerade of what they truly feel…. You aren’t that bright are you. Thiery is all ego and comes of humble but it’s still bs. He’s a racist as well!!!
Man this hurts so damn much watching. Appaling actions by the crowd, the ref and the officials afterwards. They are almost straight saying, that racism in the crowd, won't cost them more than a weeks ban, and if players react to being verbally abused(!!), they get punished, and they are expected to not react?! Absolutely disgusting! Sorry for any offended by that. I am in tears, thats how damn fucking mad and sad this makes me. And mad respect for Lukaku!
Appreciate your comment mate. You don’t realise how far it goes, to hear somebody who doesn’t look like myself, Thierry, Micah, Romelu etc, say the things you’ve said. It’s a pain that MANY who don’t look like us, cannot understand and will ever experience. So thank you, it really does mean a lot. Not only to myself, but to a whole colour of people
@@benj516 Do you know how people outside Spain, Italy or South America think? Serie A is not making anywhere near the revenue the Premier League is, so you are not correct there. People from around the world aren’t going to sweep obvious racism under the rug like certain European/South American countries…
Lukaku did the same celebration playing for Belgium a couple weeks earlier. Not a problem for the ref then. And that is international football.... . Love Lukaku for standing up to racism in any way, shape or form.
Listen, you clown. He didnt got a 2nd yellow because he celebrated with that. He got a 2nd yellow because he celebrated in front of the fans which is a yellow card. Stop trying to spin this as racism. With the game against Sweden he ran to the Belgian supporters and the celebration which is nothing wrong with. Thats the whole thing. You absolute clown.
Thierry is absolutely correct. They are always talking about diversity in football yet turn a blind eye on issues of real racism. Sending off Lukaku and upholding that decision by the Italian FA has got to be kne of the most absurd thing I've seen this year. It basically means they support racism.
Italy is a very racist country. I remember when I was in Rome, I went into a clothing store to possibly buy some clothes and in the store, I decided to purchase many clothes, when I took the clothes to the counter, the lady at the counter call the cops on me because she thought I was a drug dealer, because she couldn't imagine a black man would be able to afford all those expensive clothes.
It was never about real racism, its about upholding a nice image so they can attract sponsors and virtue signal to others how good and righteous they are, but when push comes to shove, they back off and chicken out, its all a joke: Armbands, advertisements, whatever, its all show.
Definitely. And then to be sat next to someone with the "look how far we've come" attitude must be exhausting. Let's just stop trying to end racism, shall we? We're much better off than we were 10 years ago (which turned to comparing now to 15 years ago, which turned to 20 years ago). Always moving the goalposts for goodness and fairness, it really is exhausting. Catch one of these fans saying "we won one trophy 15/20 years ago, I think we're doing really well".
@@C33Fernandezexactly, they act as if black people should be grateful they’re “less racist” when they shouldn’t be racist at ALL. The most talented players being discriminated and verbally abused at work. Disgusting. They need to look inside themselves, and realise there is something wrong with them and decide to change it immediately. There should also be harsh punishments in place for racist fans
@Charles Fernandez I think Del Piero just meant that some of the things they've done have helped a little, but not nearly enough. He wasn't saying "look how far we've come", he was saying "we need to do more."
He's completely political and black-biased. He never spoke about racial discrimination (or chauvinism to be more precise) against white players in Serie A. Also, he's a fcuking cheater and opportunistic bustard. Remember the game against Ireland?
Glad they brought this up directly. Racism in football is fucking ridiculous, as it is everywhere. They should start having games without fans, bringing back closed doors like we did during COVID and deducting team's points in the table. That might force racists to shut up. I'm with Henry on this one, I would have reacted so much worse. Fair play to Lukaku for keeping his cool and his calm. Bigger man than everyone else.
The issue with things like deduction of points is other fans get punished for the actions of a minority. Also, there could be situations where fans of opposing teams try to get points deducted from another team with racist acts.
I could feel Henry’s emotions toward the end there, he’s absolutely right in saying that not enough is being done. The Italian FA (or whatever they call themselves) have basically justified the racial chants and taunts from the fans by punishing Romelu for pushing back.
Racism is wrong but why not stop the game or punish fans whenever they insult anyone in general. You won’t be able to do that. Might as well ban any insult or mockery of any kind. Good luck with that.
@@MsCankersore Don’t ever start a statement with “Racism is wrong but . . .” There is no “but.” There are no exceptions. There are no excuses. Racism is wrong, period. Always. End of story. And if games have to be stopped, or played without fans, or teams need points deducted, or whatever else-until these horrible people shut tf up-then that’s what needs to happen.
Thierry is right that racism is everywhere but it is much more prominent at football matches in Italy and Spain than in England. The authorities need to stamp it out in those places. Actual punishments for the fans who do this is the answer.
Hope you don’t think it means it doesn’t exist in England though. Yes they are worse but don’t think its ok “we aren’t as bad as them” it still happens here in the UK
racism in europe is THE ISSUE, no one country is better than another in terms of being less racist, look at the english fans when euro 2021 final was lost, look at spain with vinicius, look at italy with this recent lukaku incident, its actually hilarious how you lot are just pointing the finger saying oh no at least we not so so, shame. i agree w thierry if this is going to continue might as well take off the no to racism uefa logo,
@Football-Pundit If things are to change than the players on those teams - and I mean not just the insulted players - need to say "We don't play". That hurts the pocket books and money talks. You can't complain yet to dress up every weekend for the next game. Force the clubs to radically remove the racists from the stands.
@Football-Pundit that has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever read tbh. Do you know the demographics of Italy and Spain compared to France and England.
As a black 30 something year old I sometimes struggle with the statement it's getting better, seeing Henry say "their story is my story" was very disheartening...cause he's not wrong. This s*** is exhausting, in case anybody didn't understand It's not angered that's on his face It's exhaustion that he still has to talk about it
@@DG-lc6hc You need to spend more time in Europe if you think it's actually like that. Some football chants don't represent us. Most people are nothing like that.
@@DG-lc6hc - the UK is a lot lot better than the rest of Europe. I recall the great Cyrille Regis playing for West Brom having bananas thrown at him by his own fans! @@DG-lc6hc You're going to see racism anywhere in the world because there will always be dickheads, but here in the UK, the difference in attitudes over the last 20 years is very noticeable. Most average people here don't really care about race. It's just not a big talking point anymore.
I funking love Thierrys anger and Micahs disbelief that this is still happening. The fact that they let an Italian, Juve legend speak and he didn't wholly condemn it says it all. Kate Abdo is an absolutely brilliant presenter, does not shy away from the big conversations and actually asks big questions.
I felt a little bit bad for Del Piero, because just since he didn't show the same level of anger or passion, he came out as the "opposing" party. The way I interpreted what he was trying to say was that the situation is improving, but just way too slowly. He wants everyone to come together; players, fans, teams, referees and federations, to find new ways to improve the situation faster. Most of us want to end racism in football (and in general..), but armbands, kneeling and condemning is not enough. We have to figure out new concrete measures that actually works.
I’m glad Thiery kept it real and called out the BS that is those armbands and photos pre match. That’s not gonna stop racism one bit, especially when the higher up don’t give a shit.
All the higher ups care about is money, they pay lip service to racism with the odd initiatives, but really to them it's just background chatter they have to accasionally deal with. There's no financial benefit in stopping racism in football, hence no will to really deal with it, unlike the proposed Super League!
Lol the people higher up love this shit, they want us all to be talking about race all the time because then we argue amongst ourselves instead of realising it's a class war, us against them
Henry also said it's not better than 15 years ago, which is not very real. I remember cases of heavy racism from 10/15 years ago not even being mentioned on TV the same night or the day after, now every time it happens it gains national attention and the team's fans that displayed racism receive immediate repercussion. Is it enough? Not yet, but let's not act like everybody is not giving a shit. You could hear from the stands "Eto'o, Eto'o, Eto'o, Eto'o, they have seen him, selling roses, selling roses in the *metro" (*metro is the italian word for subway) and nobody gave a fuck back then, today it would be a national case, so you can't say it's still the same.
@@Carsa-is6vb if we’re looking to improve the situation then instead of nitpicking Thierry Henry’s words, we need to understand that the players shouldn’t be yellow carded for reacting to abuse🤷♂️

Freedom of speech is fundamental to a democracy You have to realise the same way Afrcans do want Europeans in their country is the same that Europeans don't want Africans or anyone else having anything other than a minority status in their country. Its human nature to stick to groups,be it culture or race
honestly I think a bunch of high profile black player shud walk out of the league. seriously mutually terminate contract or tare it up or pay it off or whatever. its gonna take something drastic like that
Too easy for organised criminal corruption if they do that, unfortunately, and makes the fixture list extremely problematic to resolve with so many rescheduled games. Losing 2-0 and your team's having a stinker? No problem, just organise a hail of abuse and get the match abandoned
Walking out isn't gonna stop a racist from being a racist. You can't change what is in that person's heart. Walking out will only cause a bigger issue, and will force the federation to find a proper solution, but the truth is that there is no solution. What r u gonna do? There will always ALWAYS be racist ppl in the stands. Many players have walked out, protested, striked, done everything, it is still happening and will continue to happen.
@@siddiq106in it their heart it should stay. The fact they feel they can shout something surrounded by hundreds of people means there is not enough shame in the world for these individuals
I remember watching a baseball game in which a player threw a chair into the stands which sounds terrible until you realize the fans behind him were making fun of his stillborn son. Fans need to be held accountable for their actions same as players. I think it is up to the teams to enforce this in their stadium and if they can't then they should lose all profits from ticket sales and TV rights for that game.
I agree with Thierry on the fact that it’s happening “very slowly” and that the equality/diversity signs and shirts are low key fake, but I also side with Alessandro in the fact that their should be committee meetings made between players, refs, and federation/league members to reach a common ground on major decisions or make amends for when stuff like this happens
The pictures and slogans are just a distraction to make you think they're actually doing something. If you breach financial rules, you're fined or have points deducted. Fans continue to do this because they know that there will be no significant punishment.
All this energy that Micah and Thierry have right now, imagine feeling that week in week out as a player in every generation of football until 2023. It must be insane to have to go back on the pitch and entertain these lowlifes with a smile on your face or face being red carded if you react.
There’s absolutely no way I’d ever be able to focus and maintain composure at work while trying to deal with this. It’s unbelievable. It’s got to be crippling when the crowd get on you for having a stinker of a game, but when it is just personal - just who you are - Henry and Richards seem like they are still carrying that shit around with them years later. They performed to such a high level professionally and had to deal with this shit. I just can’t get my head around how tough it’s got to be. Just full respect. And I wish people could stop being shots to each other.
@Daniel Hoskins it's horrible, being racially abused especially in a professional setting... u honestly don't even feel like a human being anymore.... your competency doesn't matter your skill doesn't matter your intellectual doesn't matter how long u've worked there doesn't matter u have no value you're just that thing they call u, that's all u are to them. man it makes u angry so angry on a gut level u just wanna walk off or react in defiance. for the ref and organisation to ban and uphold lukaku for what was an extremely minor and controlled act of defiance and a celebration he ALWAYS does is literally insult to injury. it tells u the organisation doesn't care at an institutional level. how demoralising to work in that environment I remember decades ago, as a young boy, watching one of the greatest players ever Samuel Eto walk off a field almost in tears mid game saying "no mass" (no more) because of crowd racism. it made me upset but I thought by the time I'm older it'll change so there's hope... yet here we are and nothings changed how sad
Yeah guys. There's a limit to how much a human being can take. Yes they get paid millions, get adored by millions but equally get hatred from millions, constantly. There's only so much a human being can take. If nothing is done over time, I fully expect one of these players to explode. We've seen players go wild towards fans before, Cantona, Xhaka, etc. But you've seen Ronaldinho, Etoo, Balloteli, Evra, Vinicius, Saka, Rashford, Lukaku etc have to take it and suck it up because the response from society would be very different towards a black player expressing anger the same way. These guys are mentally stronger than most human beings.
The truth is as a black person - you learn to live with it, not just in football but in life. Dave the rapper has a line in his song black…..’loud in our laughter, silent in our suffering’ about sums it up perfectly.
Alex is right. It’s still sad that this is happening, but it shouldn’t mean we can’t take a look at the progress to see that we’re at least moving forward. We learn from it and what works and emphasize that to move it faster.
but Piero was right, its just with social media were more exposed, but to say racism isn't less apparent in football then it was before just isn't right

Thank you for airing such a direct discussion of this. Speaking directly about this issue, and not trying to hide or tone down the anger that we should rightly feel about incidents like this, is important. Racism is not intrinsic to society- it can and should be eradicated, and the only way that will happen is for people (especially those of us who are white) to be angry enough to demand it.

I was at that game. It sucks because as Red Bull supporters, we had no idea what happened and why the delay of game. As soon as word started going around that San Jose didn't want to continue because our new DP striker said a racial slur, we started yelling "Get him out of here!" It's too bad our coach didn't think of that at the time.
It’s sickening especially how they mess with players and shame is disproportionate. Remember the Euro finals 2 years ago, how the hate was directed at Saka, Rashford, and Sancho? It was ridiculous. they are players too… and now with racism against Lukaku and Pogba, I wonder if this is something endemic.
I noticed Christina address the situation first as a refree, so i feel as if she tried to stay nutrual and not say something that would make her a target amongst referees . Kate presented her with the same question but asked her to talk about it outside of being a referee . That was smartly done, to give her

@Football-Pundit bring him over to England, my club will take him and he'll become a hero. our fans would smash anyone in the crowd racially abusing one of our own players. (maybe even the opposition player)
@Football-Pundit England fans compromise of a lot of lower league fans particularly div2 and div3 where there are definitely more issues with discrimination. there's also an drink problem with England fans which is why in Qatar when it was banned England has zero incidents or arrests for the 1st time in 3 decades those are not the same fans as the prem fans which is why the response they got when they came back was overwhelmingly different. when your comparing the top league the prem isn't just slightly better it's significantly better, all players report this. it's far too frequent an occurance in Italy and spains top leagues to just ignore. the fact that some other places have some issues also is not an excuse. its literally every week in Italy to all the highest profile non white players. sort it the f out
@Football-Pundit ur conflating two separate things. England's national team fans have a very specific dynamic with alcohol and compromise more of lower division fans.. even then it has improved a lot compared to the hooligan days. that's not the same as the fans of the top division... nothing to do with the money. most fans are working class. it's to do with the culture the prem has built and how hard its worked to cut that nonsense out. it does happen but its not often and other fans in the stadium don't tolerate it. Italy and spains top leagues have accepted it too long. the lukaku cases PROVES its institutional. there no way that ban would be upheld in the prem or accepted it just wouldn't happen. there severe cultural and institutional problems and they need to addressed. its embarrassing to have it happen week in week out. I agree punishments need to be harder and taken more seriously. life long bans, fines, season tickets stripped ban every fab in an entire stand if u have to. fire all the racist cronies at the top as well. it's time to move forward atleast get on par with other top divisions
@2107Slash I'm in no way defending the Italian fans, but let's not forget they are having issues with illegal immigrants at the moment, so perhaps their frustration is bring expressed at football matches?
This was a great segment with Kate Abdo doing an excellent job as moderator. You could feel the raw emotions from Henry and Richards and the pain racism inflicts on a daily basis. Question is when will one of their caucasian peers on the panel show similar disgust with the way racism is addressed in football?
They won't because it doesn't affect them. The only way you make Caucasians feel the impact of racism is to put economic sanctions in place i.e. points deduction, ending of the game, 5 game ban of the entire Stadium, league changing certain legislation that is pro-racist victims so that you send a robust message. Racism will never end but you can punch the racists where it hurts : Their pockets
In fact Titi and Micah really felt the pain during these discussion about RACISM. Their faces said it all. It's time all Football Federations seat down and solve this RACISM issue at once, because we all LOVE the game.
The actual fight against racism in football means impacting changes in such refereeing rules. Not just prints on shirts and taking knee gestures. These are merely symbolic and marketing gestures. It needs to be addressed strategically in laws, regulations and management of the game.
Sad that we still need to talk about it so much. You would think that adults who pay their own money would know how to behave when going to watch the game. But even more sad is the fact that nothing serious isn't being done about it and players will still get abused every which way they can get just because some fans don't know how to behave or want to "throw" them of their game.
Football fans are so hypocritical. If a black player is banging in 30 plus goals a season it doesn't matter what colour he is but yet they will abuse black opposition players no.problem.
How would that even work? 😅 stop the game and review a crowd’s reaction when a player complains? How would they fix the situation, stop the game until the stands are cleared? It’s a difficult decision to make.. the easiest thing to do is to not card players who react to crowd chants
Fighting racism at stadiums is like dealing with a branch of a tree while leaving the root. The root cause of racism emanate from the homes, how these people are trained and taught to see people of color from the infancy stage of their lives. If there's any way to eradicate racism, it needs to start from homes, schools, religious organizations etc. Dealing with it at football centers is cool but not enough to overcome it as fans are filled with so much emotions.
The right decision would be to cut their attendance in fans in half for 1-2 games. Reverse the yellow and ban the referee for 3 games. I hope they can sue the FA of Italy or whoever they are.
That presenter really put Del Piero on the spot. Man literally could open the ground to swallow him up coz Thierry was just about getting ready to cook him real good 😂
He was saying gradually things are changing, in the last 20 yrs situation has improved a lot and everyone should come together and find out solutions that'll be more effective to abolish it completely and rightly so he makes sense. Other than finding actual solutions to tackle the problem if you want just to rage and whine because you care about the issue then it'll gonna bring nothing change.
Great coverage and happy that CBS devoted time towards this topic. This type of obvious abuse should not be going unnoticed and there needs to be HARD punishment for the perpetrators. As Thierry said, these pathetic advertisements with slogans on sleeves and “taking the knee” do nothing to improve the problem at hand.
I feel for Alessandro in this. I mean it must be hard. This is a team he loves and believes in. To talk about the fans of his beloved Juve must be tough. But I also empathise with Titi and Micah. This just needs to be stamped out. I don’t get why it happens. We call this game so often the beautiful game. What’s beautiful about when controversy reigns supreme? It’s just a divisive game with no beauty at all. Racism and corruption fills Football more than anything.

solution in my opinion, If racism is clearly being heard, give a yellow to the team who's crowd is being racist. happens again, give that player a red, he's sent off ONLY FOR THAT GAME (doesn't count against the players red cards), if it keeps happening, subsequent reds after that. if fans want to be racist, enjoy playing 8 v 11. On top of that, start with 1 section ban for 1 game, keeps happening, you from 1 section to 1/4 the stadium for 2 games, 1/2 stadium for 3 games, full stadium ban for 5 games. you need to punish the team those racists are rooting for and the self policing from the crowd and the team being punished will help eliminate it.
that would be unfair to the players. unless the players do something very intentional, the fans are racist by themselves. blaming the team isnt fair. also, it could be used against the team (away fans, etc.). it would be incredibly inconsistent, unfair, and you wouldn’t be able to tell who is actually doing it.
You know die hard fans would sit in the other end and make their team win by getting the other team punished 👿 I like what has happened in the past where the game gets called off and everyone just goes home. No more football, you want football then keep that nonsense out of it.
@@insertname1452 I don’t disagree that’s it’s unfair to the players, but that is the point. You have to punish the product on the pitch. I could feel Henry’s emotions toward the end there, he’s absolutely right in saying that not enough is being done. The Italian FA (or whatever they call themselves) have basically justified the racial chants and taunts from the fans by punishing Romelu for pushing back.

I noticed Christina address the situation first as a refree, so i feel as if she tried to stay nutrual and not say something that would make her a target amongst referees . Kate presented her with the same question but asked her to talk about it outside of being a referee . That was smartly done, to give her
The best way to battle racism is for the players to come together and walk off the pitch. The only way people care is when their money is affected 💯
Also. CR7 Ronaldo, has probably scored 200+ goals then done a shushing celebration. You can Google pics and videos of this. Not once did he get yellow carded for it.....
He is so right in his statement Thierry, I have so huge respect for him as a pundit, and footballer
💪🏾🔥
Up until November 18, 2009 i respected him as well.
@@apolicum I'm impressed you remember the date.
Still 70 years later from Jackie Robinson crossing the color barrier in baseball, telling black men not to react towards racism. Always telling black men to never let your emotions get the best of you.
Why they are rooting black people to fail ?
UNFORTUNATELY Balotelli said it long time ago, the players should move to the continent where they will be appreciated and respected where people look like them . BIG UP MARIO BALOTELLI....
Henry's energy is all of us who cannot stand this b.s and still can't believe the powers are still allowing it to happen
The great Henry was on point.
Caragher sitting there with his suarez t shirt on 😂
😂
He knows its a delicate subject and is aware of Liverpool's mishandling of the Suarez abuse of Evra. So, he did not want to put his foot in it
@@mediacenterman8583 So he is not allowed free speech and to speak his mind for fear of retribution. Sounds communis to me. Just like del piero had to tip toe around what he actually believed, and even then people are ripping into him
Spain should take notice that if they continue allowing for racist abuse towards players then they will risk losing that talent to EPL where they actually take racism in stadiums seriously.
@Football-Pundit bring him over to England, my club will take him and he'll become a hero. our fans would smash anyone in the crowd racially abusing one of our own players. (maybe even the opposition player)
@Football-Pundit England fans compromise of a lot of lower league fans particularly div2 and div3 where there are definitely more issues with discrimination. there's also an drink problem with England fans which is why in Qatar when it was banned England has zero incidents or arrests for the 1st time in 3 decades
those are not the same fans as the prem fans which is why the response they got when they came back was overwhelmingly different. when your comparing the top league the prem isn't just slightly better it's significantly better, all players report this.
it's far too frequent an occurance in Italy and spains top leagues to just ignore. the fact that some other places have some issues also is not an excuse. its literally every week in Italy to all the highest profile non white players. sort it the f out
@Football-Pundit ur conflating two separate things.
@PZL17 Southern Europe is poor and dependent on the German tax revenue to keep them going. Let's not bs. The EU without Germany is nothing.
Thierry was all over it and I support him
Thierry kept it real. Its not enough
I love Thierry passion on this issue, I hope he goes into an administrative position in a league where he can make some change.
And be a communist? Will there be any change done in asia and africa as well?
Henry speaks so much truth make him a football ambassador he has done so much and talks so much sense
"very slowly" thierry is the best, great points from micah too
No more banter towards Micah, TOP GUY, RESPECT
EVERYONE is open to banter ffs get a grip!
But it’s mostly him that gets the stick……….

Being a racist ain't banter
am a Gooner and Love the kid Micah
"don't shut up, Thiery Henry!" -Coach Beard when he sees this.
The actual fight against racism in football means impacting changes in such refereeing rules. Not just prints on shirts and taking knee gestures. These are merely symbolic and marketing gestures. It needs to be addressed strategically in laws, regulations and management of the game.
Thiery was not having it. Love this .
Honestly, enough is enough.
Exactly
U mean Europeans
When the BS is set aside, VAR against racism should be a must have.
Dealing with it at football centers is cool but not enough to overcome it as fans are filled with so much emotions.
stats
The right decision would be to cut their attendance in fans in half for 1-2 games. Reverse the yellow and ban the referee for 3 games. I hope they can sue the FA of Italy or whoever they are.
That presenter really put Del Piero on the spot. Man literally could open the ground to swallow him up coz Thierry was just about getting ready to cook him real good 😂
I Love Thierry he is my Hero. Yes correct its everywhere.
Carra is silent because he understands. Respect.
This is why cbs has the best football coverage on TV
This is a very emotional Thierry Henry
But Del Piero was spot on in all of his comments. The others just want to condemn and not think about practical steps to solve the issue.
Because he is white 🙄
Henry has always been a good sport, besides being a great player.
Tell that to Irish fans
Thank you Mr. Henry, you're a true Ledgen ❤
i replayed that video about three times and i'm still trying to figure out what del piero was saying......
@@notsofunnygani yawn response
it was very clear what del piero was saying
Same, because he was just saying nonsense and talking in circles. Bad Take by piero
@@gomezjuan5406Ok, Mr. Know-it-all, what would you have said?...
Yes Thierry. His passion made me cry. As a Frenchman and a black person
But the anwser is not there
not jamie sitting there after he defended suarez. SHAMLESS
Huge respect for Del Piero for not ducking the topic, speaking in his second language and being critical of his country's federation.. Grande Alex!!!
He was pretty crap in m opinion. And very ITALIAN on the subject.
@TCS L "very italian" how ignorant of you to put all Italians in a box where you assume when an Italian speaks on racism you think they defend it. Like every country they are racist and their are not
@@vincenzoriccio5036 His words spoke for themselves.
I actually couldn't believe what he was saying. Neither could Henry.
@@tcsl7764 so you think del piero is for racism?
@@vincenzoriccio5036 I'm not going to go as far as saying that..but I will say that his apparent attitude is part of the reason there is a lot of blatant racism in Italian football. That attitude is why the Italian FA upheld the yellow card. That attitude is why TEAMATES of abused black players have actually criticised and or not supported their own abused players etc.
Just the bitter truth Henry, I can sensed the anger in you my dear.
I swear, I've been hearing this since kind of thing for over two decades and nothing ever gets done.
Thierry was probably playing for Arsenal and i was still at school 😶.
solution in my opinion, If racism is clearly being heard, give a yellow to the team who's crowd is being racist. happens again, give that player a red, he's sent off ONLY FOR THAT GAME (doesn't count against the players red cards), if it keeps happening, subsequent reds after that. if fans want to be racist, enjoy playing 8 v 11.
You know die hard fans would sit in the other end and make their team win by getting the other team punished 👿
I like what has happened in the past where the game gets called off and everyone just goes home. No more football, you want football then keep that nonsense out of it.
@@insertname1452 true, it wud be very unfair to the players
Why only book players? We could cut a player's finger or a toe instead
@@insertname1452 I don’t disagree that’s it’s unfair to the players, but that is the point. You have to punish the product on the pitch. By punishing what the people who are being racist are cheering for, it can help eliminate it from the game. I’m not saying it’s easy, I don’t think any solution will be easy, just my opinion on it
Why is suddenly a section of comment is against Del Piero for literally saying the ground reality?
He's white .. and never will experience is it at a personal level..
everyone is too sensitive, damned if you do damned if you don't. Better to keep your mouth shut in these situations. I felt bad for Del piero.
I love del Piero, he is actually my second favorite footballer of all time, but he was not right when he said that. The comment section is not against him, it's just they are disappointed. Also, it's not reality when you say something like it's changing slowly, it's not true that slowness must be so damn slow because there has not been changes at all. The change is null when you take 20 years into account. Although he was literally stuck out there .
everyone talking abt how Titi was absolutely fuming here, but Micah being so cold and stern actually made me uncomfy. I've seen henry get serious in discussions on this show even just football related - never angry no but serious and that's usually within his sort of personality, but Micah is *always* the lighthearted one. Hes giggling every moment and cracking a new joke every time there's a break in someone else's sentence.
Blah blah blah. Ladies and gentlemen. I'm a black kid from south Africa let me tell you racism in sports will never end especially towards black people. Go save the spotted owl or something. Companies will slap their end racism tag on their t shirts. Juventus the team that pays managers to go to court and plead guilty to match fixing and paying off referees. Yet those same managers are living lavish. If you're black they hate you because of who you are. And racism is taught. They will continue to be racist to black players.
Thierry Henry spoke facts 💯

Probably poor makeup/lighting this time. She isn’t exactly a 20 year old and still looks great for her age.
before I lose my 'u now what' here. That's where I knew Henry had already lost it, with good reason too - having LIVED THE LIFE and EXPERIENCED this FIRSTHAND. it must have brought back some 'interesting' times in his time in the BEAUTIFUL GAME
Thierry Henry legend on and off the field. Don't think I have ever seen Thierry so angry..
