Beloved, the Word instructs us that not many should become teachers as they will be held more accountable for what they teach and I hope he is aware of this. We also should be aware that the Word teaches us to focus on Christ and what is pure, true, lovely, praiseworthy etc, so that our minds and hearts are not being polluted by worldly thoughts and images. Quite a few reformed authors have written against it. Guy Prentiss Waters wrote a book on the Federal Vision a number of years ago. Most, if not all, major Reformed denominations in the US have written reports pointing out its errors.
The Federal Vision takes the Westminster Confession Of Faith and completely dismantles it. They change the meaning of words like Faith, obedience, they collapse the terms law and gospel and they deny God's sovereignty over salvation making salvation contigent upon good works. They are Roman Catholic, Arminian and Pelagian but worse because they lie and pretend to be confessionally reformed.
