No character has ever failed to land harder than John Sykes, failed to land, & it wasn't for an incredible amount of trying. For a while this dude & his whisper voice was EVERYWHERE. I liked John Bolger as a good actor, but I never really cared for Sykes. He had no business connecting with EVERYONE. More forgettable than memorable. It is what it is. (A little trivia: John Bolger is the real-life great-nephew of the late Ray Bolger, best known for playing the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. Fascinating!)
