Overall, I was not expecting much, and I thought that was the case when I wrapped up this video. To my surprise, when wearing headphones, I was able to discern many likely answers to my questions. I plan "Spirit Waves" sessions in the future if the masses demand it :)

If you remove the antenna it could cut out a lot of the radio interference and helps get more clear responses

Fun setup and idea, but I'm disappointed the Spirit Box just seems to scan across the FM dial to pick up bits and pieces of programmed material. Why would a ghost's communication be frequency modulated anyway?
I used one of these many times when I worked the night shift in a state hospital. One night as we were walking in one of the abandoned building and a female spirit called out the name of the girl that was with us. She asked the spirit who was with her and she said my name. There were three of us there but my buddy was in an adjacent room and the spirit said I can see someone else but I don’t know who it is.
The creepiest one was the time we were in the abandoned auditorium and a male spirit called to us. We asked what he was doing there and he said there were 13 of them putting on a play. Then he became a bit of a comedian when we asked if he do something physical to show us where he was in the room. He said no and my buddy said why not and the spirit said because I’m an asshole 🤣. All three of us and the spirit had a good laugh.

Neat post! Radio Shack made a pocket AM FM radio that paranormal investigators modified to make the first spirit boxes before they were marketed. As I recall all you had to do was snip one lead of a Zener diode on the circuit board which made the receiver continually scan the band. By the time I heard about it The Shack has discontinued that particular radio. I really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming!

I was at my parents beach condo on the Gulf. I got "Have I drown" "Am I dead" "Where is my son, I can't find my son" It pretty much scared the crap out of me. I have an EMF meter too. It isn't logical that electrical fields shift. Especially on a beach far from any electricity.

The only reason I cannot use the Spiritbox is because I had paranormal activity in my apartment for a few weeks afterwards & it was scaring me. I don't think they were necessarily negative but I have a nervous disorder so its just not worth my health being on edge wondering whats going to wake me up during the night. Its real, and its proven time & time again. I feel sorry for you to be so dismissive, you think that when we die then that's just it 《 ❓ 》 .......

Hi @todderbert that is a beautiful smoky quartz. As an FYI, it is considered a grounding stone that also protects us from negative vibrations, pain, sadness, fear, anxiety, etc. It is good for stabilizing energy. Using it in the paranormal investigation is a good addition for positive energy and protection. Another stone that is even more protective and often added to investigations is Black Tourmaline.

@@todderbert I have been doing paranormal investigations professionally for 50 years and it will take you time and it is worth it. Also, it's a good idea to not have the crystals too close to the machine because crystals have their own energy and may interfere with the reading and answers you get.

THis is great. I just got my spirit box in the mail today. I am charging the speaker now and can't wait to use it. I bought a seperate recorder. Do you find that FM is the way to go?

In my home it’s day hauntings and is peaceful as ever at night. I have insomnia and stay up some nights and didn’t experience a single incident but during the day mid day things move around I’ve heard 2 voices one male and one a female mumbling with footsteps and even my cat ran down, thought there were break ins so I went down quietly with a gun and not a single window unlocked or doors opened. I’ve heard a human whistle at my birds and them respond in chirps so I checked to see if the neighbors outside were maybe whistling but nobody was outside and the windows were closed. It’s so odd ! All my experiences as a little girl were at night so it’s definitely a crazy experience and I got some cameras to hopefully catch it if it happens again.

It IS overpriced, for what it actually is, & I'm lookin' to show what's actually goin' on with it. Auditory Pareidolia is a wonderful thing, in the "Ghost Huntin'" world... 😉

It is mostly all Radio, and our Brains are wired to find associations to what we hear, and ask.

I love this video but the ghost box is just a radio receiver that's Picks up radio station sensitivity and it sounds like spirits talking on the radio since the radio is searching radio station in a quick speed and like i said it sounds like spirits talking on the receiver and its make it a good Halloween radio

Hi all, I'm new to all this how can you hear that you have someone talking to you? It sounds all the same I cant make it out, what do I have to listen out for? As i would like to get one of these :)
Always good to record the audio so you can play it back. I used my computer so I could search for audio over and over. but you may start hearing things you want to, then what is actually there.

What’s the best speed to sweep at
I usually use FM 150ms in reverse, but you may find another setting more to your liking. I believe most people use the setting I suggested.

Most likely...though I am not a Ghost Hunter. The radio works like any other by receiving electromagnetic waves and converting them to audio.

is this literally just switching FM stations really quickly? It says FM, and that looks like FM frequencies...Not only that, but it sounds like radio when it's going really quickly.
It uses a sample scan from the FM or AM frequencies.
In Canada the government only gives a contract to this one company producing the spirit box that manufactures and distributes the P-SB7 spirit box. This is cronyism that we can't have.
I mostly hear radio stations on mine , I just wanna speak w ghost !
I would suggest getting the "Mini ANC". It's a go between your SB7 and your speaker. It can cut down a lot of the noise so you can hear the spirit voices better.
How can I find that crystal?

I heard a faint voice at 2.36 - Clear. Same voice, very faint at 2:56. Same voice again, very faint at 3:03. Same voice, more clear at 3:10. Voice appeared friendly.

You can use the onboard speaker, but it is rather small. Using the external one is nice, plus it records.

It's a transitor radio! It picks up AM and FM frequencies at a fast rate the voices you are hearing are radio stations it's not real guys! I bought one to try it out nothing happened I ended up listening to bohemian rhapsody and saying well atleast I have a portable radio.
