I live in Atlanta. There’s so much to do and great hiking even around the city itself, East Palisades is a great hike also Arabia Mountain.
I just moved to Weeki Wachee Florida and they have swimming and kayaking with Manatee. Hopefully, you'll be able to do that. It looks so beautiful.

Hey welcome to Cookeville TN. I was just at Cummins falls last weekend it's about a 10 min drive from my house.
Check out Mammoth Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky :) about an hour or so north of Nashville
Pleeeease take the Blue Ridge Parkway!!!! It's so pretty! The Mt Mitchell to Mt Craig hike is short and SO WORTH IT!
