'By no means do we want to do you harm; offend your sense of nationality. We have always respected the territorial integrity of the Ukrainian power.' Yeah man, I cant believe you are the one saying this.

New York Times translation: "And also ratify the agreement that is ready to sign on the annexation of the Crimean republic and Sevastopol city to the Russian Federation".
What Putin actually says: "and to ratify the treaty on admitting to the Russian Federation, Crimea and Sevastopol, which is already ready for signing".

To abide by the rule of law, crimes disputes problems tends to be easily resolved, the majority of the population are Russian descent who wants to see the fast pace in economic after the annexation by Russia. On the other hands, it will not be easy for sevastepolas majority of the population are Ukrainian upper class who supports youchengo, they are a pro European union and prefer to be under the constitution of Europe. To put Sevastopol under control with the Russian constitution would be the real challenge. Definitely we will see the underground movements, the riots in near future to act against Russian government. My deep concern is there in Sevastopol.
???
?
This show us that: if you don't stand your ground, the bullies will keep doing it.
Russia, since 2014, has been trying to resolve the conflict peacefully, diplomatically for 8 years. However, the Minsk agreements, according to which the Donbass was to become part of Ukraine as autonomous Russian republics, no one wanted to fulfill. In 2021, Russia held talks with NATO in Switzerland. It is not surprising that when the diplomatic methods of solving the problem were exhausted, the war broke out. It couldn't have been otherwise. Always after the failure of the negotiations starts the war. As for Russia, for 8 years Russia tried to push the Donbass back into Ukraine, but Ukraine did not want to comply with the Minsk agreements and got a war. In fact, the Minsk agreements were a sham for Russia. Ukraine was given 8 years to prepare
In Crimea in 2014 and until 2014, 60% of the population were Russians, 24% Tatars and 16% Ukrainians. Russians in Crimea until 2014 were 60% of the population, and only 16% of Ukrainians. Crimea is an absolutely Russian territory, where the majority of the population is Russian, and Ukrainians are a minority of the population. It's just that Crimea, by mistake of the Soviet government, became part of Ukraine in 1954. But this is Russian territory. And in 2014, this Russian territory returned to its native harbor with the full support of the local population. And the Ukrainian army left the Crimea without a fight, giving it to our troops, which again proves that this is Russian territory. Because if it was Ukrainian land, the Ukrainians would not have given it away without firing a shot.
@Arty lol stealing territory doesn't mean it belongs to you again. Crimea is ukraine. You can't just take back land and act as if it's legal to do so.
@Arty how would you feel if part of Russia wanted to be part of a nother country? Would you allow it? Do we have rights just to go to your land and take it? What Putin did was illegal and taking land from an Independence country like Ukraine.

Facts don't care about your feelings, lapdogs. What Russia did met every definition of annexation. If a person approaches you from behind, shoots you and kills you, it does not matter if the murderer didn't call it murder. The media can and should say that a murder took place, since that action fulfilled the definition of murder.
Surely Vlad didn’t use the word “ annexation “
Wow, one more bad for NY Times, it's very easy to find full version on NET, full embarrassment for editor. Wondering what is the target audience for NYT, how do you serve as domestically if you can't do some basic international propaganda.
Interesting enough in 2014, the same year that Russia annexed Crimea, Alaskans file a petition to leave the US and rejoin Russia but the petition failed to reach the 25, 000 signatures in 30 days required for the white house to comment on it. However, in 2012 Texans files a similar petition to leave the union and it went past the 25,000 signature threshold and got to Obama's desk. The White House issued a 476-word response rejecting the idea. Just last year!, On January 26, 2021, the Texas Independence Referendum Act (HB 1359), a bill to provide for referendum on secession, was filed by Texas House member Kyle Biedermann. The bill was referred to the State Affairs committee but it was never given a hearing or voted on by the committee before the end of the session.
Definitely Russian Seperatists smuggled over borders. Same thing happened in Crimea, In Donestk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Odessa, and even more sent to Abkhazia and South Ossetia

@@niceguy1891 I don't see any principal reason. Well, it's warm, nice land with strong navy. But Russia has a pretty long shoreline on the Black Sea. Moreover, Russia knew that it may create many international misunderstandings, sanctions. So it wasn't that Russia that "annexed" Crimea, but Crimea that joined Russia. Russia has a genuine case, west must acknowledge and sort it out rather than flexing there muscles,
If situation continues so , Russia will strengthen its alliance with china, Iran, north korea, pakistan and syria
If russia take Ukraine , then china can take Taiwan, North korea can take south, pakistan can take Kashmir, Iran can take over middle east, syria can retake Golan
