You two really made the most of your time in Kinosaki. Great tips for travelers and I like how you explained all the different tickets for the gondola. The artist rendering of the walking trail was perfect 😂

Thank you. It was a short, basically 24 hour, time in Kinosaki Onsen. As Venessa said, we needed more time to not be rushed and to see and do a little more. Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad

4:01 “Ebeneezer Scroooooogggeeee….” 😂 But in all seriousness, the town is absolutely beautiful. It looked like you all wandered right into a shojo anime! LOVE a scenic gondola (ropeway) ride, and the views were unmatched. Definitely worth the fee for the easy way up! Although, I am disappointed that you guys didn’t try the teeter-totters out up at the mountain’s peak 😜 Cremia (spelling?) ice cream looked delicious, but I don’t know if anything is capable of replacing fresh-made Ube ice cream in my heart. Always appreciate the debrief at the end, too! 7 minutes’ round trip sounds like a wonderful little passage through the trees. Navigating Japan with only the Japanese-printed instructions and guidance to refer to is, in no uncertain terms, my greatest travel fear 🥲 But with time, luck and some insightful Two Tickets’ videos, I’ll come to a place of facing my fears! I do have one question…did the priest have to run down the mountain to vouch for someone at the baths every time that someone made the climb to the temple? Haha great video, y’all! ✨

lol, yes the carving on the post looks like the ghost of Marley. The town is so beautiful and videos still do not capture it all; especially the feel. We are glad we had sometime to take the ropeway to the top of the mountain before moving on. Oh my gosh, the old playground set was something else. Didn't need to get injured trying to teeter-totter lol. We enjoy ube ice cream too; though have not had it fresh, only from Trader Joes. To answer your question, according to the Kinisaki Onsen website it states "They would then receive a “yu-shaku” [from the priest], or hot spring ladle that would serve as an entry ticket to the hot springs."
      Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad

This town looks so cool! I would love to spend some time at the cafe on the mountain. I think if I were to do it, I'd take the ropeway up then hike back down (I feel like the stairs wouldn't be too bad with gravity on your side haha).

It was such an amazing town and so relaxing. If we ever make it back and go up the mountain again, we might do just that; ride up and walk down (at least from the midpoint down). Thanks for watching. 😀 -Chad

Hi, we are going to Kinosaki Onsen in two weeks, wondering if you had to prebook your train from Kinosaki?

Yes, The Limited Express Kounotori train that we took to and from Osaka required us to make seat reservations. Because we had the JR Pass purchased from JR directly, that was easily done 30 days in advance from the JR Pass website. Thanks for watching. -Chad 😀
