Micellar water is the best thing I've found for cleaning the sides of white soles. It's meant for cleaning your face, but it works wonders on shoes too. For the scissors, I go for thread snips from a fabric store. Super sharp and small, so they're easier to control and get those Irish pennants up close to the fabric. In pop
Try, if you can, to avoid shoe polish with petroleum products in them when polishing your real leather shoes. They smell stronger and don't preserve the leather as well as products made from mink/bear oils and beeswax.
