Happened to me after unboxing. Got one 2 days ago. I didnt charge it correctly. Limp mode after a minute. Took it back home and charged it better and balanced the cells. It ran fine after that. I have a hobby grade charger. If that doesnt work you may have a bad battery but I doubt thats the case.
Mate if you put a 3000mah in with a 60c it will keep going into limp mode because it's only programmed to run up to a 35c rating and a 2600 battery believe me I tried it

Mah has nothing to do with power, the larger the mah, the longer the battery runs for.
This battery won't work unless U got a bigger esc it will just throw the boat into limp mode everytime U give it full throttle
mah is just the capacity, it's not delivering more power to the boat.
Well you’re clearly not supposed to Use anything above 3,000 for battery on this boat. You will fry the ecs. Surprised you don’t know dat
