    This looks like a professional did these! Just like others have mentioned, you’re a natural. I’ve done several sets of SBF heads, C4OE, C8OE, and E7TE, and they all have the terrible exhaust port. I believe the older ones might have an even larger bump in the port. I’m subscribed!

      I really appreciate your comment and thank you for watching! Im certainly not a professional, but I have a little bit of experience from a few sets of heads Ive done in the past. You are 💯 correct, the exhaust port is the downfall of the SBF head, going to a slightly bigger valve would have done wonders, but I wanted to keep this video simple and budget oriented! I have a set of Gt40 heads that I plan to do a slightly more advanced port job on in a future video. Thank you subscribing, it means a lot to me!

      @@markweber7275 these heads are actually already installed on my 88 T-top, It’s basically a garage port job that anyone can do at home, unfortunately I don’t own any flow measuring equipment, so I won’t be able to post any flow numbers. That’s actually the reason why I kept the work really simple (basic bowl cleanup) without doing major port reshaping. I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment! 🫡

      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah the grinder worked flawlessly! Only one issue, which isn’t really the grinder’s problem… you absolutely need to use 1/4 inch shank burrs with the large collet, because I had some old Chinese burrs that were sold to me as 1/4 shanks but they were actually very slightly smaller and one slid out!!! Verified US 1/4 shanks work flawlessly on it.

      Thank you! The Die Grinder worked fabulously, the speed control actually helped the burrs work much better than with my last die grinder, it made the job a lot shorter. The only issue I had was trying to work with a 6mm burr instead of the 1/4 inch, the grinder wouldn’t hold it, but that is understandable because its not made for those.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987

    What kind of HP do you think these heads will flow! Just a guesstimate...... I would be good with 350-375....

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Месяц назад

      @@trailerparkcryptoking5213 hey, realistically you are looking at a 30-40hp increase doing what you see in this video, I don’t want to mislead you. To get 350-375hp out of a 302 you will probably need a set of AFR or trick flow heads and a good cam. You can definitely feel the improvement in performance when you drive it, but I don’t want you to think that this will get you to your desired hp level

    • @trailerparkcryptoking5213
      @trailerparkcryptoking5213 Месяц назад +1

      @@MrBlitzkrieg1987 I don’t know for a fact, but many gearheads online claim that GT40P heads will flow 340 HP with no work.....along with a alphabet cam and carb....I have a ‘62 Falcon Ranchero that weighs 2500 lbs with a 5.0 EFI conversion in it that still needs wiring to run, it’s a bone stock engine. I also have a newly rebuilt 5.0 HO with a B cam and GT40P heads (long block) sitting there and considering sticking it in there with a carb setup. Just trying to decide whether to use those P heads, port some factory cast iron or go aftermarket aluminum. The best option is expensive, but if I could get 350 HP I could easily crack 11 second quarter miles in that light weight Falcon, which is good enough. Expensive heads would put me at low 11’s or high 10’s, impressive, but more than I need....

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Месяц назад

      @trailerparkcryptoking5213 it’s not beyond the realm of possibility to hit 340hp with a set of factory Iron heads on a 302, but Im willing to bet the gt40p heads were probably worked on, or at the very least they must have been milled down to increase compression even more. That jump from 225hp to 340hp is wild! 😎🤟

      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Месяц назад +1

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
