The part about “getting pretty for yourself” is so true 😭😭😭😭 I used to do my makeup and wear a cute outfit every day, even during quarantine when I never left the house lol. It made me feel SO confident and I always felt more motivated to do things/get things done! I’m finally getting back into that energy now, but for the past year or so I just didn’t treat myself like I was deserving of looking pretty. I started putting others first to the point of exhaustion (literally every second of every day I was people pleasing and stopped thinking about my own desires and importance) and compromised my own self-worth in the process. So, to anyone reading this, try to give yourself a little bit of time every day to do whatever makes you feel more confident and beautiful! I was a people pleaser before, I was unhealthy inside and out ( developed IBS, occasional severe face and headace and uncontrolled hypertension, dull & pimples all over my face & back), begging for someone to stay and keep on chasing them. One of his friends had a very negative point of view and would Critique or make rude comments and then say it as a “joke.” When that friend would complain about being single for so long and had a woe-is-me attitude, they could NOT hear Constructive criticism. The part about “getting pretty for yourself” is so true 😭😭😭😭 I used to do my makeup and wear a cute outfit every day, even during quarantine when I never left the house lol. It made me feel SO confident and I always felt more motivated to do things/get things done! I’m finally getting back into that energy now, but for the past year or so I just didn’t treat myself like I was deserving of looking pretty. I started putting others first to the point of exhaustion (literally every second of every day I was people pleasing and stopped thinking about my own desires and importance) and compromised my own self-worth in the process. So, to anyone reading this, try to give yourself a little bit of time every day to do whatever makes you feel more confident and beautiful! No matter how you feel about yourself right now, trust me when I say that you are ALWAYS deserving of self-love and care, even if you don’t always believe it. Sending everyone all the love and blessings in the world 💖✨✨✨

I agree with her. I literally get ready Everyday to impress myself. I go lot on a lot of solo dates but people people think I'm going out with someone because of the way I get ready. Being confident about yourself radiates a different vibration that makes us stand out.

My God! This is the first time I saw your video here in YT. You’re so straight to the point and I love it cos I believe in that as well. I was a people pleaser before, I was unhealthy inside and out ( developed IBS, occasional severe face and headace and uncontrolled hypertension, dull & pimples all over my face & back), begging for someone to stay and keep on chasing them. But now that I’ve learned to love myself, to give more & more respect & value to myself, I prioritized myself, I start investing to myself and most especially I strenghtened my faith to God. Everything starting to fall into place, and I have never been so happy with my life ever. So always believe and trust in yourself. No one will be able to help you other than yourself!
This video came at the perfect time. I recently had a trip with my bf and his friends. One of his friends had a very negative point of view and would Critique or make rude comments and then say it as a “joke.” When that friend would complain about being single for so long and had a woe-is-me attitude, they could NOT hear Constructive criticism. Just like the TikTok girl that was mentioned! I distanced myself and told myself not to let this friend consume my energy.
Your comment about “how you see the world is how you are as a person” hit the nail on the head. I now refuse to let people in my life consume too much energy or not put into friendships as much as I do. I’d rather have a small circle of people I care about than surround myself with takers.
