    My tip I’ve picked up to space the hands easily is you can use (and I do) a Bergeon dial protector to ever so slightly lift the angle of the hands so they clear one another and the indices. Works a treat for me. Always the seconds hand I have trouble with haha. Nice build! I’ve got a black dial in my cart ready as I’ve wanted a Nautilus style watch but don’t really like any of the ready-made homages. :)

      My best advice is to use Rodico to help place the hands. It works so much easier than tweezers.

  • @stuartanderson7102
    @stuartanderson7102 6 месяцев назад +6

    If you're using rodico to place the hands, use it to pick them up by the tip, place over the post, push down with hand pushers, pull rodico away while still holding down with the pusher

    Hi you can do this stuff way better than i can but I've watched many videos like this and i have to say you make me nervous with the rest you handle the parts 😮 as all other builders are very careful with their movement's also was wondering why you didn't clean the case glass and face b4 you inserted. Only saying as others do that. But you made it look easier than i would for sure. 😊

    • @Jojje94
      @Jojje94 4 месяца назад +1

      With a hacking movement like this the seconds hand doesn't matter. Hacking meaning the seconds hand stop when you pull out the crown. Then when you change the time, the seconds hand doesn't move while the hour and minute hands do, so the alignment of those two is what's important.

    The conversion is well done even if I had to remove the bracelet completely to avoid scratches on it.
    I think the case is too copied from the Natuilus.
    I would really like the Chinese to simply stop copying other designs and instead use their know-how to develop their own designs.
    China has so much history in the country and so many great things that only exist there.
    Use this to develop your own designs.

    How many other people, such as myself, who have never assembled a watch, are shouting at this video, your holding it wrong! You have a movement holder but you don't clamp the movement in properly, so why bother? You repeatedly grab the hands at the wrong end, making life difficult for yourself and you don't wonder to yourself, what am I doing wrong, you just keep doing it wrong! I appreciate it's a fiddly process, but if you keep going wrong, you have to come to the conclusion that it is you, not the fiddly parts! 1, grab and hold the hands at the outer end of them, leaving the middle free so you can look to line them up, don't grab them by the middle! The rodico is the same approach, attach the far end of the hand to the putty, leaving the middle part free to allow you to guide it into position. 11 minutes and I am out.... I hope you managed to succeed in the end.

I appreciate the partial view and the feedback. I hope your eventual experience assembling watches works out the way you want and wish you the best on your journey.
