Nebraska Tornado Outbreak May 12, 2023

Multiple large, wedge-shaped tornadoes touchdown over Nebraska during a significant regional outbreak. 2 huge tornadoes were documented over the open rolling Sandhills near the communities of Spalding and Bartlett. These twisters formed from a relatively rare setup we refer to as "Coldcore on Steroids". Where the instability and moisture are much more significant than with a typical cold season coldcore stacked-low event.
