I have commented on the El Reno, OK, monster wedge on May 31, 2013 being a multiple vortex mesocyclone tornado and to me, this video is proof that a mesocyclone can and does occasinally produce multiple tornadoes in the same circulation.

Horizontal connection? Is that normal?

Think it was the horizontal vortex was really connected to one tornado, but not quite the other, and gave the impression they were connected.

I'm sad that they were not many storm chasers on that storm it produced 30 tornadoes

I was! And I actually ran into Simon and Juston and watched an anticyclonic tornado right next to them.
