When I seen Williams bobble that one snap his eyes were down field and he was poised, didn't panic, and threw touchdown. I watched the whole game. Rattler folded under the pressure. He might have cost himself a lot of money because he was already struggling. Hopefully he recovers.
I agree with ou and texas being one of the greatest rivalries, but i think that nebraska-oklahoma was one of the biggest rivalries of all time. Wish we could play it every year.

@David Rivera nobody is ready for Caleb. He's a generational talent. As an OU fan, this is what we were hoping for. He has the arm to make every throw and the legs to scramble, buy time, or run at any given moment.
So much raw emotion as a result of this game. As a Sooner fan I went thru some incredible highs and lows, same for Texas fans...Probably going to end up game of the year. A true classic that i think may have topped the 4 OT game from last year

Not only this game, but KB26 whole career. All he has done is run for >1000 yards in his first two seasons, and I wouldn’t bet against him making it three straight this year. He still don’t get mentioned much by OU fans or it’s opponents. There is a reason he started in front of Sermon (NFL) and Stephenson (NFL). He’s that good. He’s also a real solid dude outside of football. Very unassuming, highly religious, and never mentions he even plays football in public.

He had a 5 game stretch where he averaged 160 yards, capped off by 190 against Oklahoma State and 185 against West Virginia. 217 was his career high. As soon as Spencer came out, the playbook opened. The line was able to block for our counters, and Kennedy was unleashed again. It’s been a long time.
It reminded me of when I played the NCAA football games and would spam the same play over and over. Lincoln scored on it two possessions before, might as well try it one more time lol
As a sooner fan it was and I’m glad Caleb starting it reminds me of the jalen hurts and tua situation against Georgia in the national championship game

I am West Texan who grew up with Oklahoma City's KOMA radio as a soundtrack of teenhood. I went to bed with KOMA blasting in my earphone (transister radio). I came to enjoy the continuous playing of the Sooner fight tune. That Sooner-Boomer was scorched earth across the Midwest, all the way to the rockies and the southwest and Texas. So I became a Sooner Fan! UT is too monied and merchandizing has become a gold mine for UT. Your comeback is for the ages!
Probably the greatest simultaneous coaching adjustments by a head coach and defensive coordinator I have ever seen. And imo one of the greatest coaching calls of Lincoln Riley's career having Rattler come in for the 2 point conversion. What a way to pick your player up off the mat. Gave me goosebumps!!!! This OU team just had their championship moment on a big stage, so proud of my team. I'm almost equally impressed with Texas. The longhorns played a great game. I think Sark could be their next Mack. OU's been clawing and scratching to win every game this year...and this game was no different. They showed a lot of grit after the gut punch from the Horns in the first quarter and trailing most of the game. The previous games of clawing and scratching had to have contributed to their win.
Got to give it up to Riley for finally pulling rattler. Got a great arm, but don't mean nothing if processing isn't there. Looking forward to the rest of the season see if we can't start looking like a cohesive team.

ECU alum here. He's a player's coach. Behind the scenes, I'm certain he's teaching these young men right. He learned a lot from Ruffin McNeal, who played for Pat Dye.. On field, he has a great quarterback and offensive mind. OU fans need to appreciate all that he brings. OU will have national championships.
I feel that he gets WAY too conservative in situations that call for running down the clock. He doesn't seem to pocket a play that can guarantee a 3rd and 7+ when needed, and then we end up punting to our demise. Hence the CFP game against Georgia.

This is a must watch game from start to finish for anyone looking to learn why people love this sport. This rivalry is one of the biggest in any sport and this game had amazing effort, exciting plays and absolutely huge momentum swings. Total rush!

OU defense only gave up 10 on second half. 2 turnover and a punt block for 21 points will make a teams defense look bad on score board. Take away the 2 big plays from Texas and they did good

the 2020 ou tx game was great. but this one was insane. unbelievable to watch. such a terrible 1st q for us oklahoma fans, but an amazing comeback to witness live. the last 2 minutes is top tier football. a near 40 yard run to score the winning td (as the clock effectively expires). will never forget that game

No, OU caught two hail-Mary passes (one with offensive interference), and Worthy ran out of end-zone on his own and fumbled. Just one of those not happening and Texas wins. At some point your luck will run out.

I was on a company cruise with our sales team of 100+ guys. Our company is based in Austin but I’m an OU guy who was working in the Spokane branch right after graduation. Everybody there was massive Texas fans except me and 1 other dude I went to OU with. I’m talking 30+ diehard Texas fans. We were wasted on the beach and forgot the game was on until a kid said “omg we’re up 28-7 I forgot it was on” so we all rushed back to the cruise ship to watch the game in the sports bar. Everybody was talking so much trash to us and the look on their faces when we tied it up, then took the lead, then had the game winning touchdown was truly a peak moment in my life. Piss drunk having 30+ longhorn fans talking crazy to me then just a few hours later the tables turned and I was talking reckless. I even talked trash to our CEO he’s a UT graduate that’s how hype I was. Luckily he’s a good sport and didn’t fire me lmao. Even tho Lincoln snaked us & took half our roster, and choked 2 easy wins keeping us out of the playoffs this year, this team still has a special place in my heart for that moment. It all worked out tho, Caleb went 1st overall and we got a coach who actually puts defensive talent on the field. Lincoln couldn’t recruit anything but QB’s. Great offensive coordinator, mid head coach. We’ll be a consistent top 5 team when Venables gets all his guys in by 2025 or 2026. Boomer
@@gamesbond1873 yes and no. Williams and a player like Mayfield both have talent, but Mayfield also has the benefit of years of experience. This was effectively Williams' first real experience, which makes this even more impressive.
Best game I've seen in a decade. And I'm a Sooner, but this Texas team looks different: fast and explosive. Also, Worthy is going to be a collegiate star and NFL playmaker too. Fun to see Sark succeeding. Don't judge these first few tough losses. Proud to have OU and UT in the SEC in the near future. Hopefully we'll carry our past QB/offensive power legacies into there.
Horns fan here--that was a crushing loss but it was one of those games where you turned it off and just felt good about what an absolute gem of a game that was

OU's been clawing and scratching to win every game this year...and this game was no different. They showed a lot of grit after the gut punch from the Horns in the first quarter and trailing most of the game. The previous games of clawing and scratching had to have contributed to their win.

ECU alum here. He's a player's coach. Behind the scenes, I'm certain he's teaching these young men right. He learned a lot from Ruffin McNeal, who played for Pat Dye.. On field, he has a great quarterback and offensive mind. OU fans need to appreciate all that he brings. OU will have national championships.

I feel that he gets WAY too conservative in situations that call for running down the clock. He doesn't seem to pocket a play that can guarantee a 3rd and 7+ when needed, and then we end up punting to our demise. Hence the CFP game against Georgia.

This is the best Red River Showdown I have watched so far. Although I never got the chance to watch the old ones, Earl, Vince, Ricky, but for the ones I have seen in the past 10 years this is the best one.

Williams made some incredible throws my goodness.
When he bobbled that snap, stayed poised, eyes down field, shook that defender and threw a touchdown pass I was like, he's the guy. Rattler isn't getting that job I don't think.
Got a rifle for an arm, for sure. His decision making was good for a freshman and will just get better over a few more games.

25 for 217, 2TD’s, first one 18yards to take the lead, and second one for 33 to win it with 3 sec left. All KB26 has done is rush for >1000 yards in his two seasons, and I wouldn’t bet against him making three in a row this year. There is a reason he started over Sermon (NFL) and Stephenson (NFL), the kid is that good.

OU defense only gave up 10 on second half. 2 turnover and a punt block for 21 points will make a teams defense look bad on score board. Take away the 2 big plays from Texas and they did good

the 2020 ou tx game was great. but this one was insane. unbelievable to watch. such a terrible 1st q for us oklahoma fans, but an amazing comeback to witness live. the last 2 minutes is top tier football. a near 40 yard run to score the winning td (as the clock effectively expires). will never forget that game

I was on a company cruise with our sales team of 100+ guys. Our company is based in Austin but I’m an OU guy who was working in the Spokane branch right after graduation. Everybody there was massive Texas fans except me and 1 other dude I went to OU with. I’m talking 30+ diehard Texas fans. We were wasted on the beach and forgot the game was on until a kid said “omg we’re up 28-7 I forgot it was on” so we all rushed back to the cruise ship to watch the game in the sports bar. Everybody was talking so much trash to us and the look on their faces when we tied it up, then took the lead, then had the game winning touchdown was truly a peak moment in my life. Piss drunk having 30+ longhorn fans talking crazy to me then just a few hours later the tables turned and I was talking reckless. I even talked trash to our CEO he’s a UT graduate that’s how hype I was. Luckily he’s a good sport and didn’t fire me lmao. Even tho Lincoln snaked us & took half our roster, and choked 2 easy wins keeping us out of the playoffs this year, this team still has a special place in my heart for that moment. It all worked out tho, Caleb went 1st overall and we got a coach who actually puts defensive talent on the field. Lincoln couldn’t recruit anything but QB’s. Great offensive coordinator, mid head coach. We’ll be a consistent top 5 team when Venables gets all his guys in by 2025 or 2026. Boomer

I've been watching college football for 35 years. This game was ABSOLUTELY IT!
Best game I've seen in a decade. And I'm a Sooner, but this Texas team looks different: fast and explosive. Also, Worthy is going to be a collegiate star and NFL playmaker too. Fun to see Sark succeeding. Don't judge these first few tough losses. Proud to have OU and UT in the SEC in the near future. Hopefully we'll carry our past QB/offensive power legacies into there.
Horns fan here--that was a crushing loss but it was one of those games where you turned it off and just felt good about what an absolute gem of a game that was

I’m a Texas fan so I come back to watch the first half highlights and daydream about what this team would’ve been if this game went the other way. Losing after holding such a big lead really emotionally ruined this team for the rest of the season

The outcome is gut wrenching, but it was such a hell of a game that you want to relive the success your team had within the game.
Texas has got the offense it needs now with Sark. And what an amazing receiver Worthy is. The defensive coaches got to teach those DB's how to play the ball in the air better though. They were playing the man a lot of the time.
