In being at the game, OU had two weeks to prepare and Ou at the start looked good but Texas is just so complete and their defense is fantastic. That Anthony Hill kid is fantastic as true freshman. Texas just has so much that they can throw at you. Thus, why they’ve handled everyone.
Ewers looked terrible. The rest of the Texas team played very well. Ewers looked scared out there, like he was the freshman, not the player with a ton of experience. I hope he gets over whatever was bothering him by next week. Love that Texas defense.
This is his last year. He has no time for rust. He needs to have a good season if he wants to get drafted and not forgotten as someone’s backups backup
To me he looked like he was still injured some of those routine passes he looked as if he was trying not to contort his abdomen while throwing. This would’ve been a disaster by Sark if he was injured or if the game went south.
Texas’ defense is the best in the country. Every other SEC matchup and Big Ten matchup is a shootout, Texas hasn’t let anyone score more than one touchdown all season.
That's sort of what happens when you play trash teams. The first good team they played dropped 30 on that defense and that's with the refs helping texas.
It’s 6:28 and Oklahoma still sucks!!. But here is my favorite one and I’ve been said this “Oklahoma defense will make it a game, Texas hasn’t seen a defense like OU” y’all’s defense is terrible and that was proven in the Houston game. Missed the game due to unexpected situation of receiving a phone call from a dear friend of many years and we spoke for several hours so I missed the final 3 quarters (priorities placed in the right place definitely), but glad about the outcome. Will rewatch broadcast asap, but got to give Sark a ton of credit for building a DEEP squad with a resilient midset-a winning culture that finally matches our talent level. But, all I cared about was becoming bowl eligible with 6 wins. Yeah really, because in the down years that was something to build on. Well, we're 6-0 and that is gravy. But, I also know two things can be true at the same time. We caught a woefully undermanned OU squad this year. Which is fortunate and lucky, and they showed up to play, but OU was just horrid in their execution and the lack of talent showed. Secondly, the real SEC season begins next week. So, we get to see what a healthy undefeated Texas squad can do in DEEP water as the hunted. Proud of the guys, but still holding my breath with these slow starts, spotty execution, turnovers and lucky bounces. Are we back? No. Win a national championship and that will be an undeniable FACT! But, pleased we have a hyper-competive squad that will battle with any team in the nation. Championship caliber, we'll see. But, I'm happy with the outcome so far. Hook 'em!!!
Getting real tired of all the neffew takes on here about Ewers especially since this was his first game back and Sark playcalled a little conservative in the second half Edit: sorry about that y'all I misremembered the Ms State game that one was on the RBs and easy WR drops. I hate Jeff Lebby
Arch went 26/31 for 325 and two TDs with 33 rushing yds and a rushing TD in the MS game. I’m not quite sure what struggle means to you. Maybe Ewers was just rusty, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t starting their second-best quarterback.
@@OfficerDownswould have been 27/31 for 400yds and 3 TDs if not for a bad wide open drop. Claiming Arch struggled against Miss St when he was arguably the most efficient QB in thr country that week is a hilariously bad take.
Its too early for a QB controversy but Ewers was bad today. Being out for 2 games is no excuse when you are a third year starter. Arch would have scored 50 on OU today.
@@OfficerDowns Ewers just needs to shake off the rust. He's got more touch on the underneath routes and reads defenses a little better, whereas Arch has a more solid deep ball, better foot speed, but can be more up and down on the close routes that are more common than the deep shots. Ewers gives you the bread and butter that you need in your base, with Arch giving the deserts that are nice, but not a consistent winning plan.
Just 3 points the entire game. 3 points. I’m still trying to let that sink in. It’s time to find a great coach before our program is totally destroyed. 😢.
This was embarrassing as an OU fan. Hawkins didn't do well, but I don't think any QB can with how poor the line is and all of our receivers being out. I smell 6-6 or 7-5 season.
I don’t understand why he didn’t even attempt to throw the ball down the field. Even being down 3 tds it seemed like every throw attempt was less than 10 yards
We were there, and Ewers looked *rough* unfortunately. Wisner and the defense stepped up huge after the slow start, and yeah Quinn settled down a bit, but that was a very rocky first start back, at least by the standards that both he and the fans have set for him. Oh well though, big dub and looking forward to UGA at home next week 🤘
Ewers needs to knock some rust off he didn’t play too well. Good by Sark to not put him in harms way with explosive throws down the field. Gotta play better
I know the score isn't close, but it wasn't really a blowout as the score would make it seem. Texas had too many errors if they want to beat the top couple of teams after them in the rankings. He went to Nevada College and averages 100 rush yards per game
@@speculate6719 dang, as low as our running back room is now, we definitely could had kept him
In being at the game, OU had two weeks to prepare and Ou at the start looked good but Texas is just so complete and their defense is fantastic. That Anthony Hill kid is fantastic as true freshman. Texas just has so much that they can throw at you. Thus, why they’ve handled everyone.
When Lincoln Reilly left, the Sooners made the decision to officially become Jokelahoma.
As far as oklahoma is concerned - frankly I don't give a rats axx
look at lincoln rileys record
@@Excentrix54No trophies. Doesn't matter what he did in the season if he couldn't capitalize
Oklahoma was better when they had a great offense and no defense.
OU was struggling to beat teams like Tulane when Riley was the head coach. They would’ve gave up 34 points in the first half if he was still the coach
#11 from Texas getting the fumble recover my touchdown. That’s the definition of hustle and never stop till the whistle blows
Oklahoma FEARS Texas!!!!
The qb certainly did
Every team does. They probably won’t lose another game this season. They will probably win the natty
*Jokelahoma
@@180mmTVY'all still have to play Georgia.

I’m from Boulder I’m a CU fan
Fantastic heads up blocking by #5 at 6:13 . Great hustle!
Ewers was definitely off, but the rest of the team made up for it. A lot of points were left out on that field.
All the talk about ou’s defense this whole week . But it was Texas Defense that showed up
Ewers looked terrible. The rest of the Texas team played very well. Ewers looked scared out there, like he was the freshman, not the player with a ton of experience. I hope he gets over whatever was bothering him by next week. Love that Texas defense.
He hasn’t played in a month. Ever heard of rust? I think he’ll be fine. Hook 'Em Horns
Dude looked like Mac Jones on the Patriots lmao
This is his last year. He has no time for rust. He needs to have a good season if he wants to get drafted and not forgotten as someone’s backups backup
@@Wifket Rust or not, those throws looked like something is wrong with his hand. That bad.
You haven't played anybody.
That's sort of what happens when you play trash teams. The first good team they played dropped 30 on that defense and that's with the refs helping texas.
As an OU fan I can easily say this wasn't our best game
We are really flirting with late 90s territory. Sigh
Yessah! Now its time to put some dawgs in the kennel 🤘🤘🤠🤠
Ryan wingo is going to be a superstar.
Any updates on Bond?
Hes fine
They were tweeting about it during the game, he sat out out the rest of the game today, but it’s nothing serious.
@@markavaldez11 okay, bet I must’ve missed that part. Preciate y’all on da update tho.
Either Ewers, Or Manning will win the Heisman. Undefeated National Champions!! Shedur On A Losing Obscure Team?? No Way..
UT offense #11 is badass
Collin Simmons. True freshman. Future star.
Silas is on offense not Simmons he's on Defense @@ufambiddness9116
#11 on offense is Silas Bolden, small but fearless - receiver and punt returner
To hold OU to 3 points, is huge. OU had our number for too long, and now we have theirs! Hook'em Horns!
It’s 6:28 and Oklahoma still sucks!!. Now I already know I’m finna hear the excuses, “we have no o line” you’re missing one player on the o line. “We have no wide receivers” Texas is missing several of their running backs. “We have a freshman quarterback” don’t know why yall even decided to go with him knowing Texas has a very good defense. But here is my favorite one and I’ve been said this “Oklahoma defense will make it a game, Texas hasn’t seen a defense like OU” y’all’s defense is terrible and that was proven in the Houston game. I give yall props for keeping Texas scoreless in the first quarter and for sticking with Hawkins.
They had the same excuse for their loss in 2022 when Dillon Gabriel didn’t play. Both teams are always gonna have injuries
5 WRs out is kinda crazy tho
These ain’t excuses. Oklahoma team is not even 50%.
No, Oklahoma really isn't any good and Texas is overrated about covers it.
Can't lie, they look more dangerous with Archie playing though.
TEXAS KEEPS ON WINNING 💯! IF ALI AND TYSON EVER FOUGHT IN A BOXING MATCH IT WOULD'VE BEEN THE FIGHT OF THE CENTURY 💯! NEXT SATURDAY WILL FEATURE TWO HEAVY WEIGHTS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL AS KIRBY SMART LEADS THE BULLDOGS INTO AUSTIN, TX TO FACE THE TEXAS LONGHIRNS! LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEE!
sark’s track record against OU is 2-2. 2 blowouts and 2 OU comebacks

They blanked OU 49-0 in 2022
D realized they had to take up Ewers' slack. They did that solidly.

LOL! Your season ended when you beat Oklahoma...again. I bet it every time it happens. It just doesn't happen enough unfortunately.
EVERYONE HATING ON QUINN MUST NOT KNOW WHO Brent veniables is.. so I will educate you. He is the BEST DEFENSIVE CORDINADOR POSSIBLE EVER.. that means OU defense is always going to be the best.. Quinn obviously didn't play his best but when he is game is on NO ONE IN THE COUNTRY IS BETTER.. he knows he struggled. MARK MY WORDS QUINN WILL BE BACK FOR GEORGIA!
HOW MANY OF YOU CAN STOP DOING SOMETHING FOR THE BETTER PART OF A MONTH COME BACK AND BE THE SAME AS WHEN YOU STOPPED.. NOT TO MENTION WE WON
Hook 'em!!!
didnt that "friend" realize they were being inconsiderate for calling when they did, lol
OU SUCKS 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
OU does not suck. They're one of the most dominant college football teams. They may not be great this year but they usually always beat Texas.
I hear Bulldogs like hamburger meat. That's all Longhorns are good for is dogfood.
It's always a good day to beat OU
👇
He said, Texas is #1 and they looked like it today.
Against what? Bevo is dogfood next week.
Always nice when the OU highlights end 2 minutes into the video
Getting real tired of all the neffew takes on here about Ewers especially since this was his first game back and Sark playcalled a little conservative in the second half
Edit: sorry about that y'all I misremembered the Ms State game that one was on the RBs and easy WR drops.
In what way was Arch struggling????? 😂 what game were you even watching dude
If Quinn is fresh and doesn't miss those wide open WRs, they put up 50
Tough year to be an OU fan 😂😂
Its 7:24. . .
AND OU SUCKS
Ewers needs to knock some rust off he didn’t play too well. Good by Sark to not put him in harms way with explosive throws down the field. Gotta play better
Thats 2/3 years OU cant even score a touchdown 😂😂😂😂
them boys is is fast. wisener and wingo
I know the score isn't close, but it wasn't really a blowout as the score would make it seem. Texas had too many errors if they want to beat the top couple of teams after them in the rankings. QB just getting back, he should get back to himself after this game. They left 10 points out there, and too many FG tries after being in the red zone 3 times with no TDs.
It was a Blowout, what are you talking about??? 30 point gap??? Stop complaining
@@earnestpeeplesjr8948 Stop ASSuming what others are thinking, you know what happens when you ASSume. There was ZERO complaining in my comment, I simply stated my observations of the game. And I stand by saying this wasn't the blowout it seemed to be just by looking at the score. The same thing happens the other way, when a game is within 10 points or so, but it was not a close game at all. First time watching football?
Helm is gonna get PAID! That young man is going top 15 and that only ticks up.
I miss arch😢
would've been a 50pt blowout with arch, notice how when he's on the field the teams energy is different. not taking away from ewers but arch has an all round game
@@ace464if Quinn wasn’t so rusty, guaranteed he would had dropped 50 too. He did what was needed. He got the rust off now it’s time for georgia
