    Hey mate, thanks so much for another quality maintenance video. If there is a chance you are doing the front end including upper controls arms, that would be excellent.
    Thanks again. You're vids help us out so much. (Prov 11:14)

    Hey, so as shown, it is possible to change shocks without jacking up the car and removing the wheels? And how come you don’t use a torque wrench?

      that’s my issue as well ahah wanting to swap my rear shocks without jacking the car up, the struggle is finding a point to Jack it up from as I obviously can’t go from the diff like usual

    Hey man, i have been loving the series on the ranger. i am currently dealing with an issue however myself or a garage cannot solve it. when the temp is cold outside -1 degree C the first time i start it on a morning it goes into limp mode. however after i restart it after 5 mins of driving it is fine. the strange thing is when the outside temp is higher I have no issue, i left it in a Worksop overnight and when i started it the next day the issue was non apparent. the issue doesn't happen in the spring summer either. it did happen last winter tho too. what are your thoughts on this. no one i have spoken to has been able to fix the issue. i hope you can help, cheers 👍

      sounds like your glow plugs need replacing, have you scanned for codes?

    Just confirming you did that with the truck sitting flat on the ground and no stands under it or anything? Getting ready to do mine and just confirming I don't need to put it on jack stands to do this.

      you will need to jack up rear a bit to get them on as they shocks be at full extension

    I have a question, I tried doing the egr cooler bypass on my 3.2 but unfortunately the diameter on the heater core side is larger than the one on the egr end. I used your recommended hose diameter it wasn’t wide enough. How did you do yours?

    • @abdautomotive
      @abdautomotive  Год назад

      just used a bit of heat, did you use the 16mm? in the video i say 15mm but it's a 15.88mm or 5/8"

    • @Josh-oc3lf
      @Josh-oc3lf Год назад

      @@abdautomotive Alright thanks, anyway I blanked my egr on the, egr valve side last august 2022. Just recently my coolant’s been draining a lot and I’m suspecting the cooler. I’m going to bypass it tomorrow. Hopefully nothing’s been damaged, perhaps the blanking plates stopped the coolant from entering the intake.
      But now I’m worried the coolant may have went somewhere else like in the turbo. That’s scary as well. Hopefully a bypass pipe solves it all.

    • @Josh-oc3lf
      @Josh-oc3lf Год назад

      Also is blanking the exhaust side now a must do? Since the egr cooler is most likely damaged already? What will happen if i leave it open?

    • @abdautomotive
      @abdautomotive  Год назад

      @@Josh-oc3lf i would recommend blanking exhaust side even tho it's a bit harder to do, it will send all the gasses into the exhaust & not the cooler

      @@abdautomotive update: exhaust side is blanked and egr cooler is bypassed. The pipe was tough to play around with but we did it. Took a whole day but the vehicle feels like brand new again

    A side question....
    I have a 3.2 2012 Ranger and have had the oil cooler fail twice. Once with oil in radiator and once with oil in radiator and water in sump. Anybody else experience this type of failure?

    • @johncroasdale2748

      @Abandoned Automotive I suspect lots of gravel road driving has added to oil cooler failure. The head gasket has been good with both failures. So it must be the oil cooler. Is there an aftermarket oil cooler mounted away from motor available in Aus?
