Not interrupted? Go to the part where he asks about PTSD and as foxy tries to explain, he finishes his sentences for him. We are here to hear foxys story not an opinion of a pop star
I was diagnosed with PTSD in 08, jumped through all the hoops with no success, The only thing that kept me sain was work, had several episodes of which i have no record. Was dismissed from a job i loved. I read his book The bit where he sees a little girl jumping in a puddle, it was like a light bulb going on. I owe Foxy so much for writing this .
I got that book a couple of weeks ago. Loved it so much I am reading it again as well as the next one. It's cool to have these little sentences along the way where I switch on and go, "Yeah I can relate little idea that to my life"
Foxy the man, absolutely right in exercise and getting out in the country no matter if you have ptsd or any other type of mental problems. Understand this 100%
When asked a therapist what trauma caused my PTSD, she said, "All of it." My "it" is nowhere near what soldiers go through. Documentary on TV about military program for PTSD, the main guy (out West USA fishing ranch place), said PTSD is a different journey with the same destination. I look forward to reading J.Fox's book. He makes a lot of sense in interviews.
Foxys advice of waking up in the morning acknowledging the way you feel works brilliantly. For setting up your focus for the rest of the day. Grateful for every breath and every heartbeat and every sunrise. Sadly it can only be learnt after suffering.
I love that 2 guys are sitting down to chat about mental health... I also love that Foxy said that they didn’t fail, they were just learning what they needed to do to succeed... very positive way of looking at things! Well done both!
