    Lovely Specc'd RS!
Correct, Porsche Aust do not limit who they sell cars too, but they are a little selective to weed out flippers.
They simply told me, keep it minimum one year and we'll not have an issue in the future for another purchase. If I do sell within the year, then I will be at the bottom of the selection list.

Allocation availability depends in part on where you are doing business and your approach. If the approach is transactional to flip cars, you will get nothing b/c you are putting nothing into the relationship.

Appreciate your perspective. Remember, though, there is a far smaller market down under and thus less demand, and this heavily affects a dealer's attitude towards a potential customer.

There are still elements of this poor behaviour from some dealerships here, but I have also read many accounts of owners in the UK and US on reddit who fall under the same sort of scenario as my friends mentioned and have had little issue.
I've no doubt given all the first hand evidence in the US market there is an immense amount of $%^ going on!

@@Driver_88 Ok that is ridiculous. I assume given his other palette choices it's the grey one with the 9 on it. Congratualtions to the owner!! The SP3 in person is such a special car. My GT3 RS is arriving in Aus in 2 weeks so it's great to see an Aussie review to help make the wait easier.

@@Driver_88 Sadly no PTS slot for me. Ended up going GT silver, weissach with silver rims. Weissach pack has become pretty pricey which makes it hard to justify, but I liked the rims so much more. Boat docks 21 June so should be able to pick it up pre 30 June. I've had Gt3 (992) for almost 2 years so I am looking forward to seeing the difference.

@@BG-gi1gr My old 3RS was silver and I thought it complemented the aggressive body work well, The weissach pack is indeed a price of a new prestige car on top haha!

My view on the allocation business is that it depends on your region. You and the people you know in Australia might not have that problem (which is fantastic) but in markets like the United Kingdom and the US, the business of allocation is a shit show. This is probably due to the demand for these vehicles in the UK and US versus the number of vehicles available per year. Your GT4RS rant was spot on though.

    • @Driver_88

For sure and per individual dealer, I hear mixed things on Reddit for US customers, some who have no mark up and have semi decent buyer history and some who already have large collections but get asked for huge mark ups and get threatened with no car.

Another great video Nick. 👍👍. Ps - the 4RS with WP are all listed above retail. There is actually nothing listed below retail apart from the non WP cars.

Thanks man :) I’ve seen a yellow weissach one at 410k and a black one with blue highlights at 420k both driveway price, isn’t weissach with lift 417k RRP today? Given both will actually change hands for less they are under sticker price.

he paid no mark up, 600k base with 190k worth of options, I just accidentally used the word premium somewhere, Also waiting for a car that doesn’t exist yet isn’t so bad.

Australian dealers don’t have mark-ups. Seems like it’s a US market only thing for whatever reason
