    For good setting look at the video of RTINGS. First you think it is not sharp enough and yellowish, when you get used to it the picture looks really good. When you put sharpness to high the lines starts to flicker. Daniel thanks for the great settings 👍👍

    hey bro! so i like a picture that has more vivid and saturated colors that sorta mirror how samsung has there color more saturated and bold than natural . because I use my set for video games primarily It the vivid colors make everything pop. I'm wondering what settings you would suggest to get this out of an lg c8?

      I know the look you are going for but do you game in HDR or SDR? If its HDR colors should really pop and on SDR you can try OLED light setting at 50-80 and gamma 2.2 or 1.9 depending on lighting conditions

    I have an oled c7 and I really struggle to understand how I should set contrast. The contrast setting of the c7 is similar to the c8 from what I've seen - default is 85. And using the avs white clipping pattern 85 is the highest setting for contrast before white starts to clip from 255. How ever, some people say you should set contrast even higher, to clip whites on purpose so you can only see 240 and below. What is correct? Also, I use gamme bt1886 to aim for 2.4 gamma, though I see some reviewers aim to set their tvs for 2.2 gamma. So what is correct?!

    • @VK_01

      Does your tv (c7) has screen burning?

    • @ricardo1522
      @ricardo1522 5 лет назад

      It should remain at 85 those slides were not created with OLED in mind, Dolby vision and HDR will automatically change this to 100 but the processing is different so you get no clipping, if you want more brightness use OLED light, 2.4 or bt1886 for dark room or you like darker colors, 2.2 for brighter room or more lighter color and separation (lcd like) some panels can even go to 1.9 gamma with no banding etc. What you can do is reset Cinema (default 2.2 gamma), Technicolor or isfDark Room (bt1886) to default, set OLED light to 50 on both, turn off all video processing except Edge Enhancement and leave sharpness at 10, play a movie scene from youtube in 4k or scene on a 4k bluray and switch picture modes each time and you will see the difference

    Since applying software update 04.10.31 the Quad Step Noise Reduction (de contouring) function built into MPEG Noise Reduction has completely stopped working on my 2018 OLED55C8PLA. Having the quad step noise reduction feature was the only reason I bought this TV to replace my previous 2016 OLED TV so I am very annoyed. The colour banding is now terrible at times. I have called and emailed LG asking for urgent clarification as to why this has happened and when a resolution will be implemented.

    • @user-bl4oq7fd8d
      @user-bl4oq7fd8d 5 лет назад

      The image quality is pretty much the same. The B8 has the processing power of last years TVs, so the C8 and E8 have slightly improved image processing.
      The E8 and C8 have more RAM and a faster processor so they should generally be faster when it comes to smartTV apps...
      But other than that the C8 is the sweet spot because the E8 doesn't offer much more than other aesthetics and better build in speakers.

Oled light and brightness contrast or even dynamic tone depends on the movie.but true motion I use clear.makes it nice and smoothy. Used on Dolby vision and worked pretty well. I used warm 2 but looked to yellow for me. So Cool was the best for colour.let met me know what u also think buddy.

      Try Cinema, Technicolor, isf dark or isf bright....adjust OLED light as needed, Cinema has Noise Reduction enabled on low so that could help with some picture artifacts, Super Resolution can help with getting more details out of satellite signals, I use Technicolor with 2.2 gamma and Super Resolution on low and its pretty good

      @@ricardo1522 thank you very much Ricardo. I test isf bright room and technicolor :-)
      I watch lot of football and cinema and the picture is more good with the noise reduction. Why? And what advice can you tell me about noise reduction and mpeg noise reduction (low, medium, high or auto)
      Thank you

    • @ricardo1522
      @ricardo1522 5 лет назад +1

      vict78 PSG yw :), remember that cable or satellite is a compressed source so there is probably a good amount of noise and posterization so reducing those will give a smoother picture, MPEG noise reduction on the C8 actually smooths out the color gradients aka the transition between each shade of color, the higher you go with either setting will reduce sharpness and finer detail so it’s a trade off, I use only Noise Reduction at the moment on Low and sometimes MPEG on low as well but it’s a matter of preference just trust your eyes, Auto lets the software decide it changes from scene to scene and actually does work well, I think Sony processing is still the best but LG did a really great job side by side with 900F and they are neck and neck

    LG OLED55E8PLA vs LG OLED55C8PLA (which is better?)
    I’ve recently purchased the LG OLED55C8PLA (still boxed unopened)
    I was going to purchase the LG OLED55E8PLA but was told the sound on the previous year model was better and the sound on the LG OLED55C8PLA was better so it didn’t make sense paying hundreds more for poor sound quality
    I was also told that the LG OLED55E8PLA has a better processor than the LG OLED55C8PLA which means it has a better picture
    I originally wanted to purchase the LG OLED65w but I was way to much money so decided it was going to be out of the 2 the LG OLED55C8PLA or the LG OLED55E8PLA
    I got the LG OLED55C8PLA
    But reading online further reviews for both TVs it states the LG OLED55E8PLA tv is voice actived and it doesn’t mention the LG OLED55C8PLA being a voice activeded tv
    Can anyone confirm this?
    Who has either models ?
    I might take back the LG OLED55C8PLA as it’s still boxed and unopened and get the LG OLED55E8PLA or if there are any price reductions for Boxing Day sales or new year hopefully the LG OLED65W goes down in price too that’s the tv I originally wanted to buy
