I've had to deal with the compressor often, and I had only understood half of it, but the visuals here helped me a lot. Your explanation was perfect. Keep it up, people will stay once they watch.
Maybe make 2 or 3 thumbnails and rotate them for the same videos to increase your exposure and improve click-through-rate.

I'm trying to see how one knob compression works on the Yamaha MG06X. Brilliant videos btw. Any ideas if on the Yamaha MG06X, is one knob compression used on channels 1L and 2R & you alter it with the gain? Or does gear4 music have their specs wrong on their site?

  • @AnthonyBalogun

You're always a blessing. In my church a front of house mix from Yamaha digital mixer supplies to MG6 used for live streaming and the input source is usually very hot especially during singing. What's the best relationship between the Gain, channel know and the Master know levels?

While basic, I think these would have been a very useful feature if they had been implemented on Portastudios back in the day, given the limited dynamic range of cassettes.

no.. only to that specific channel. The other two channel doesnt have it so i wouldnt use it for vocals. If you need more than 2, get a bigger mixer board or you can run racks.
