Unfortunately, the timing and timeline just wouldn't work. We needed a car that would stay here under the knife and close scrutiny to make sure all was well before releasing the kit to the public. Derek's car is a monster none the less with his Gen3R! Probably one of the cleanest we've ever worked on as well!
What if all I'm doing is the heat exchanger do I have to do the small harness at the back of the engine, I'm putting the heat exchanger on a 2014 roush stage 3
They’re pros but calls the reservoir a bottle. It doesn’t even look like a bottle bro! I’d understand plastic container but bottle? Anywho great video and I can’t wait to do this!
Thanks for the kind words. The alternative would be one of the bucketed style filling tools that places your "fill point" higher than the rest of the system and a traditional burping process to eliminate air within the system. The air lift system is very convenient, but not required by any means.
It's time consuming, but not especially difficult, if that makes sense. Being patient and taking your time to avoid mistakes with the volume of things that have to be done will be key. 7/10
As someone who is inexperienced working on vehicles (besides very basic mechanical things) Would you recommend paying someone to do install? I'd love to do it myself, but don't want to mess anything up!
Great question! If you have any concern about working on systems like the engine coolant system and getting it properly bled, filling and bleeding the intercooler coolant system, and automotive wiring it may be a good idea to hire a shop to do your install. These are some of the more difficult aspects of the installation and it's good to be relatively comfortable and knowledgeable about the basic operation of these systems and diagnosing any issues that may arise.
Hey Chase. This kit will make in the 600-700rwhp range out of the box. Typically landing in the middle 600s on a Gen 1 and with our tune will live happily with proper maintenance and care. All that being said, we've seen stock engines pop and we've seen people turn stock engines up to the moon with no issues. There's a lot of variables that affect longevity. This particular car is up around 100k miles and lives in the 650rwhp range daily driven. It's owned by one of our sales guys.
I feel like this would've been an awesome project for Derek Baran's car. To have the first Odin 11-14 car on the streets would be neat.

Beautiful, I just picked up an 13 5.0 with only 30k miles this would be a nice addition!!
that's a steal
It was totaled last May someone hit me and put me into a wall 😭
When can we hear about black Friday sales

what easier to install on a 14 mustang gt the odin /loki or vmp gen3r?
Step 1: disconnect battery
Step 2: Stick picture of Odin with duct tape on engine.
Step 3: Reconnect battery
Step 4: Enjoy
You forgot the tune 😁
Very very informative. What if you dont have that tool to refill the coolant? What would be a alternative

omg, oh yea!
Hey are y'all still going to drop the video of the in depth video of dbp's grabber blue mustang
Amazing! Awesome work guys! Are we going to see some power numbers with the S197 Odin combo as well?
Indeed, video will release later this week.
VMPPerformance Nice, looking forward to it!
On a scale of 1-10 how hard would you rate this install? It doesn't seem too bad but watching and doing are two entirely different things lol

This blower looks amazing! Any news on the VMP Gen3R for the 03/04 Cobra?
It's currently at Magnuson for machining, assembly, and tesing. Soon, very soon!
VMPPerformance awesome news!
How hot does the heat exchanger coolant usually get? I may have an interesting idea.
Very hot 150 degrees these bigger superchargers 2.65 should really be just for e85
Do you guys have a California legal supercharger kit?
We currently are in the process of pursuing Carb EO certs and will update everyone as this progresses.
I have one question is this compatible with the 6r80 or only mt82 s197?
It is compatible with both MT-82 and 6R80 cars.

Where is the info on the dual fan install?
ruclips.net/video/l0AQW0soxAg/видео.html
Starts around timestamp 47:30 with the bumper removal.
With the new fuel rails you guys have coming in the new kits does the valve covers still need to be trimmed?
On '11-'17 Mustangs, you will need to trim the harness tabs off the valve covers.
On a 2013 Boss 302 , will the oem strut tower brace clear this front feed blower?
It will not, as it will come in contact with the sides of the lid of the head unit.
What type of power could be expected from this kit as it comes? And will a gen 1 survive or is it on borrowed time?
