    Do you know if this supercharger will fit a 2011-2014 Ford F-150?

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  5 лет назад

      This specific kit is designed only for 2011-2014 5.0L Mustangs, and will not be a direct bolt-up for F150 models. I'd highly recommend getting a kit made specifically for your application to avoid issues during install, like the following: www.americantrucks.com/roush-r2300-570hp-supercharger-phase2-1114-50l.html -Zach

    On my 2011 GT the Roush Stage 2 with Roush tune gave me 399whp, with a custom tune it went up to 532whp, Roush tune is veryyyyyy conservative , runs very rich too way into the low 10.1's AFR. With a custom tune and street tires I did 11.64 @ 123mph with an automatic tranny and 4.10 diff. Cats still installed with ford exhaust. Great clean install supercharger........ Stage 3 coming soon.

    • @fboest
      @fboest 5 лет назад

      We have seen the same that Roush tune is VERY rich....Be careful as they cant help you to "write out" downstream O2 sensors as we installed high flow cats there. Roush told that they can not do this because of law etc...they sell blower kit to make tons of more power over stock and this is allowed? :D Just be careful with Roush tunes...you cant get anything but the rich AFR tunes from them. Easier is to let some quality speedshop make custom tune file

    So Justin, I have a question.
    I live in MA and we have strict emissions testing here, unfortunately. I currently own a 2013 Roush Stage 3 Phase 1 car and would love to upgrade to the Phase 3. What makes the Roush Phase 3 upgrade kit not emissions compliant?
    Thanks!

  • @CoyoteDe24
    @CoyoteDe24 3 года назад +1

    Justin you think this would be safe for a full bolt on Gen 1? I have a 6 speed 2011 mustang 5.0 I’m just missing cams. But obviously I would have to make adjustments to the set up but what exactly is safe for horsepower dealing with Gen 1 motors

    • @Gen1Demmi
      @Gen1Demmi 3 года назад

      Very safe. Especially if you’re running a bigger pulley.

  • @geo7809

    What are the true numbers with no bolt on's and the Roush tune??? Might as well just call it a VMP TVS review

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  7 лет назад +15

      To find the "true numbers", without bolt ons and the Roush calibration, look no further than the title of the kit "675HP and 585LB FT"- that's your answer. Now your numbers to the wheel will vary depending many factors including transmission to help you factor in drive train loss. But in my experience subtract roughly 100hp and 100ft lbs from the advertised crank numbers and you'll have a ball park idea of what the Roush Phase 3 kit & Calibration will do to the tires, give or take.
      And your comment about calling this a "VMP TVS" review couldn't be more inaccurate. The VMP TVS utilizes a completely different housing design and includes completely different components, so yeah.. its not a VMP TVS review. Instead a Roush TVS review with a custom tune, which is what most people will do anyway. ;) -Justin

    • @geo7809
      @geo7809 7 лет назад

      AmericanMuscle.com the VMP has a different elbow and uses a JLT intake. I'm just saying if your going to show dyno numbers for a Roush stage 3, use the Roush tune 🤔. Just like when you guys do reviews on cold air intakes that don't require a tune, show dyno results with and without a tune. It would be nice to see.

    • @americanmuscle
      @americanmuscle  7 лет назад +6

      I don't want to beat a dead horse but a completely different housing is not just 'a different elbow'- especially if you are referring to the GEN II-R kit which can be had for the same price as the Phase 3 kit from Roush. And JLT aside the VMP kit also includes different pulley, injectors, fuel rails, heat exchanger, throttle body, fuel pump booster, etc...so again, a different KIT. Both are great and make awesome power but calling the Roush the same as a VMP or vice versa is just inaccurate and our customers who might not be up to speed in the world of superchargers shouldn't be mislead. -Justin

    • @barano9729
      @barano9729 7 лет назад

      Use basic math to get a close estimate. Most expect a 15% drive train loss. Multiply the advertised hp to the crank by 0.15. Expect higher numbers from a manual trans over an auto. Again, just referring to a motor in stock form, no mods.
