    You can consider sanding the LED's plastic, to make the LED itself already more diffuse. Thanks for the tip, essentially you've made an edge-lit mirror. 👍

    Open cell packing foam or cotton balls may work as well. Even toilet paper might help

      I've used synthetic pillow stuffing with good results

    Apakah bisa acrylic diganti dengan kaca ukuran 5 mm?

      Menurut saya tidak, seperti yang Anda lihat di video, akrilik tidak tembus cahaya, melainkan agak buram

    Great method.
    I’m interested in how the top acrylic sits flush on the top with tape around the sides on a zero clearance square opening…and also not show the aluminum tape from the front.
    Fantastic effect

      Actually I don't use zero clearance, the hole is inset around 2mm to allow gluing the acrylic tiles at the back of the panel. The aluminum tape is not visible this way, I make sure of that when I glue the acrylic tiles.

    Fantastic effect! Apologies if I missed it, but where do you get the acrylic tiles. Do you make them or have a source online?

    • @thelastoutpostworkshop
      @thelastoutpostworkshop  Год назад +1

      I make them with my laser cutter

      @ssskids123 You can cut acrylic with woodworking tools. Wear eye protection because knockoff plastics can shatter (often sold as "acrylic"). Make one side diffuse with 180-240 grit sandapaper.

    Is it possible to get the link to the raw acrylic panel you used ? (Before you cut it to tiles)

      I am using the satin clear version, I buy it from this manufacturer : www.engraving-supplies.ca/acrylic-sheets/troglass-satins.html
