Hi Kate! Wow, that is a major multipurpose room! This was one of the only videos I hadn't seen since you began on YT. Has there been progress? Have you done an update video and I've somehow missed it? I love seeing how other sewists manage their ever increasing pattern, fabric and supply stashes. I started out in a corner of the dining room. I then migrated into an unused bedroom and into the attached sunroom! Maybe you could also do a video on how to stop the creeping from happening, LOL. Thanks for your videos. They always make me smile.
Aww, thanks!! Yes, progress has been made and I will be sharing an update shortly. Just waiting for a few pieces to fall into place and I’ll get to show you all how phase 1 has turned out. Loving the outcome so far ☺️
Your craft stuff looks so much like mine which made me feel loads better! I also make cards and have the biggest collection of stamps you have probably ever seen. I also bead weave, make jewellery, chainmaille, silversmith and of course sew, knit and crochet. Not to mention the other crafts I have tried over the years - a huge basket-making phase, pottery, tatting, mosaic, watercolour painting etc. My craft stash isn't as organised as yours...
Your craft stash sounds amazing!! I have been very good and reduced mine down over the past few years… but still have some extra tubs up in the loft / attic. It is still a bit frustrating to access what I need with this configuration but things are well in motion to improve that in the very near future 😁
As a crafts horder trying to be more minimalist I think that decluttering your stash is also important. Its a prosses of throwing away scraps from your scrap pile if you haven't used them for a few years.I emidiently connected to you and now I now why also love paper and other crafts. An opening sofa bed that is comfortable to sit on is the way to go because it is so easy to turn into a guest room .You are a great insperation for me.thank you
You’re welcome and thanks for watching ☺️ Indefinitely need to be on top of that scraps pile. Even if it is just sorting by what is usable and what can be used for stuffing.
Look forward to seeing your Updates, I think a sofa bed is a good idea so you don’t have to store a bed and keep moving it, especially if at short notice. If you did get a small chair you would have to move that as well. Just my thoughts ❤
Yep… we are leaning more and more into the sofa bed idea. Now to find one that’s nice to sit on as they tend to be pretty firm from prior experience which can be a put off. Thanks for watching!!
Sounds like you’ve got some great plans ahead, I’m looking forward to seeing how your spaces evolves & progresses. I shared my sewing room tour on my channel last week so if you haven’t watched it then it may give you some ideas possibly 😊 x
Thanks! Planning officially underway so looking forward to making a proper start at sorting this chaos out. I’ll check your sewing space out… will definitely be after some ideas ☺️
Great video. I am looking forward to your sewing room makeover. I love a good makeover. Maybe you'll give me some ideas. My only advice is heavy things down low. I'm currently working on my pdf pattern storage. It's surprising how heavy those patterns get. I'm changing a few things around too, to make them easier to get hold of and stop hurting my shoulders. I hope it all turns out as you hope. Have a lovely weekend and lots of sewing time ❤
Thanks… and agree - Machines down low and likely boxes of patterns… although still in a quandary as to how to store my a5 patterns. Everything I’ve seen is either too big or too small so on the hint for the Goldilocks box 😊
Fantastic plans ahead looking forward to seeing all the updates. Could you move your office to "The Nook" ? This would give you some sorting and organising space until all that stuff is away in the cupboard.
Thank you! The original incarnation of The Nook was actually a desk space. But not good for me working as it is in the thoroughfare of the lounge and kitchen and not ideal for work calls and too close to all the snacks. We tried!
You sound like an Aussi? In England? I suggest getting a proper sewing table where the machine is hidden when finished with leaving single desk and overlocker packs away. Also get a sofa bed. Gives you more room or single bed.
I am indeed an Aussie living it large in the UK. We are leaning strongly towards a sofa bed. Just got to spend some time figuring out which one as often they tend to lean towards the stiff and uncomfortable side which we want to avoid as had one of those in the past which we weren’t fans of. Focusing on the cupboard space first though. Thanks for watching ☺️
Those inspo colour cubes are awesome
I do like them. Might utilise them to come up with a colour scheme for my room makeover ☺️
You are fabulous ❤ You're my favorite RUclips personality
Aww… shucks… ☺️ Thank you!

Such cute cards!!! 💟
Where do you get your plastic envelopes from?
Thanks for sharing. Where are your desk lights from?

Murphy bed possible?? They also make them in cabinets
Have been looking into a Murphy bed but think the sofa bed will be more practical.
