Introducing Ripper Seams New Makes and Sewing Plans
What great makes Julia👌 I am not in the market for a belly showing top but do love that set especially your fabric. I was watching Sewn On the Tyne the other day and she had that gorgeous green print and fell in love, your wee daughter just looks super happy in hers 😻 Best of all is you new top which I have the pattern and lots of fabric to make a few but need a great machine to set the snaps!! Was very disappointed at the lack of accessories you get with something at that price 🙈 anyway we will keep an eye out for offers. See you soon either way more beautiful makes xx

Love your videos Kate. I've also tried Atelier Jupe patterns and found them a bit of a head scratcher. I think they are worth persisting with as their designs are great and the outcome when it arrives is definitely worth it
Love your makes Kate. Especially the Julia sweater. Your little girl's Jarrah is gorgeous and she is so cute!
Your frog fleece is amazing!!!!!!!! The pockets look to be a cool construction! The green leopard print fabric is amazing!!
Loved seeing this from your perspective and seeing all your goodies. I like the gold ticket idea, I didn’t realise it is available, I’ll be visiting from Australia so will be on for a splurge, Bridget R
Ohhhh that liberty jersey ❤❤❤
Love your Saturday set 😍 I find my set so versatile and made a Saguaro Set in a coordinating fabric to get different compinations too!
I made the Julia sweater too and love the style. I used a cuddle fleece fabric which made quite a tricky sew especially with the thick seams. I sized up by 2 sizes in it as I should be a 10 but made the 14. It’s cropped on me as I’m 5’8” but the sleeves are a good length - probably due to the sizing u. Agree the instructions did take a couple of read through to fully understand them. Love your fabric!
Love your jupe sweater, i only buy patterns now where there is a sewalong to follow now so i feel your pain. Looks great on you.
Great vid, beautiful makes, especially the SSS ❤️ The Vario tool is absolutely brilliant, I guess that’s why it was cheaper with no accessories, although I believe any fixings by prim fit so if you have the old type sets which you use with a hammer I think they are supposed to fit 🤷♀️🤞🤞🤞
Love your makes and little miss ripper seams has a great future on the backyard catwalk. Love the toad Julia it is so cute❤
I really like the Julia sweater. It’s so practical this time of year.
Absolutely love, love your Julia fleece. Fab patern and beautiful fabric.
Beautiful makes 😊
Love all your makes and watching your videos
Such a wonderful video as always ❤❤Your mini me has your fantastic personality 😂
Loving all your makes and your daughter is a catwalk star!!😍. As for Atelier Jupe- I haven’t made the Julia but have made quite a few of their patterns and agree 100% that their instructions are “vague in places” which is annoying. I just finished the Coco skirt and the waistband instructions drove me crazy😮😮. Got there in the end. Really love the Julia but now not sure I can face it especially as I have never done snaps. Anyway, thank you for sharing. Happy Sewing. 😊 Lynne
All successful makes. The Saturday Set is stunning on you. Perfect fabric choice. Loved your daughter’s backyard catwalk 😂
You've smashed all those makes Kate. That patterned cotton sateen is gorgeous.
Great makes Kate your Saturday set is beautiful (I love Kaffe Fasset fabrics I think it’s the colors) I was never sold by Pogo Nip it’s too wide around the neck for my likings,Julia sweater seems to a bit smaller, omg your daughters Jarrah is adorable as is the wearer ❤
Wow
Hi Kate, I totally agree with you about the collar/placket on the Julia. I was using my main fabric for the placket too and ended up with an intersection so thick that my machine couldn't cope. Fortunately it was just a usable toile, so instead of the collar seam being folded under, I did rainbow overlocking to reduce the thickness. That won't do for a good one though, so I am considering what to do next... I am also slightly taller than you and need to work out how to lengthen the body with all those pieces.
I love the set!! I would love to see it with the “Itch to Stitch” “Hepburn” turtleneck underneath for fall! I think that would look stunning-you could also make your turtleneck sleeveless or short sleeved!! ❤ Your daughter looks adorable and it looks great on her! Also, I love your “Atilier Jupe “pull over. It looks really nice. ❤
Your daughter’s mini Jarrah is lovely Kate. All of your makes are!
❤❤
Oh wow absolutely love your Julia top. Great colours ❤
I really like c your Saturday skirt set. The fabric is beautiful.
Love seeing your Saturday set in cotton sateen. I’ve made two sets in linen look viscose and viscose (black and bright pink respectively) and I absolutely love them. I wear my top wrapped around and tied at the front (I made the ties longer on my black version) and usually have a vest top or roll neck under them as I can show that much skin round my middle! I’ve got some polysatin fabric from the Rag Market that I fancy turning into the skirt to get the look of those silky satin slip skirts that would just hug the bits I want to hide in a bias cut version.
Hi
👏🏻
I bought an ironing board cover a few weeks ago, and just got around to putting it on today. My old one makes your old one look fantastic. About 40 years old and has had a lot of use. The replacement is ugly. Even my husband said so when I bought it, but only thing available. It is bad when the husband notices something is ugly. It seems ironing boards are now smaller. 42 to 46 inches seems to be the new standard. Mine is 60 inches, which is nice for ironing fabrics. Good, solid wooden model that had belonged to my friends father. The new cover did not fit. And the options out there are not great. Amazon has one the right length, but almost double the width. I put it in the cart just in case. I was feeling kind of depressed and thinking of making one when your video popped up. I can make something that actually fits and looks nice. Perfect timing.
You got some really great bits!!!! Looking forward to going to the show in Belfast in two weeks!!!
What a fun vlog! Amd great project ideas too, very well explained.
Love everything you bought😍I was also there on the Saturday, shame I didn't spot you.
I use the foot on my machine for sewing on flat buttons, it’s hard to get them to stay in position while you manoeuvre the fabric and button under the foot but a tiny dab of glue from a glue stick on the back of the button keeps it in position while it’s sewn on x
I might just make my own too, thanks for the inspo😊
Thanks for taking us along to the show! Brilliant video 👍 that Liberty jersey is divine!!
Great vlog & sorry to have missed you on the day ❤
Lovely video. Definitely need to make the songbird out of the satin fabric. Wish we had the british fabric shows down under. The shows here concentrate on craft/scrapbooking/embroidery and quilting and machines. 😢
Absolutely loved your vlog!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So nice to see the stands and all did and bought, thank you. ❤
I ❤ Ur shows with all your talent..ur funny😂 I learn so much and purchase the same patterns you chat about.. awesome work Kate

The liberty jersey is georgous ❤

What a fantastic review of the show far above all of the others. We saw some of the stands and displays and not just all of your friends lol. I also found out that ally pally men's Alexandra palace now I have fomo. Great job
Glad it was helpful!
Fab haul 😊
Thanks for tour of the show to get the vibe 🦖
What fun! It’s sad that we no longer have a craft show in NZ like this anymore. Love all your purchases and will enjoy seeing your recreation of Naomi’s dress. I love What Bec Sews versions as well.
What a great show haul! The Montreux Fabric is so beautiful, I’m on their website now looking for it. Perfect Christmas party dress sparkle… ive trawled their website and it’s gone 🧐 my pet lip is out 😟😂
I don't think it was on there in the first place as I checked for it when I was at the show! I'm sure you'll find something equally sparkly!
I like brown too!
High five for you! 🙌🏻
