Fun fact: the Plankton movie leaked this August and has gotten 5× better reviews than the sandy cheeks movie. It's a solid exploration of Plankton and it probably works so well, because it was written by Plankton's voice actor, the person who knows Plankton best.

I say 2024 was a better year for animation movies than 2023 (In my opinion), but here’s my ranking for all the animated movies that I’ve seen: 1) The Wild Robot (I think this movie can connect with people who have kids since its all about parenting. Seeing Rozz taking care of BrightBill and teaching him how to fly with a little bit of help is just so sweet to see. The movie had a great group of characters with Fink being my favorite. The movie also had some pretty dark humor as well, but I didn’t mind because I liked it) 10/10. 2) Inside Out 2 ( Just like The Wild Robot, I think this movie can also connect with people as well, but with teenagers and people who suffer from anxiety. This movie did a fantastic job of showing of what’s its like to be a teenager and going through puberty. The jokes were spot on and even funnier than the 1st one. Let’s not forget about the anxiety attack scene. It was just chiefs kiss 💋. It showed a perfect example of what it’s like to go through one and do you wanna know a fun fact about that scene? It took 25 meetings just to make it!) Also 10/10! 3) Kung Fu Panda 4( I haven’t seen the other Kung Fu Panda movies only bits and pieces of it and that was it. I found the jokes in this movie really funny and the fights scenes were awesome! Maybe my only complaints with this movie were possibly bring back The Furious Five and not just have them in credits and maybe work on the villain a little bit more.) 8/10. 4) Moana 2 (The first Moana movie was great, but when Moana 2 was announced out of the blue, I didn’t know what to say. I wasn’t really fan of the storyline and some of the songs that weren’t great. The only song that I liked was Get Lost and that was it. The only positives I had was the animation, characters, and of course the song. I found You’re Welcome better than Can I get a Chee Hoo, but the song was catchy though.) 6/10. 5) Despicable Me 4 (In all honesty I wasn’t really excited for this movie, but since I saw it I had to go see it. The movie had way too many sub plots and it felt like it was going to random different scenes. Having the characters not age anymore is just so sad to hear and see. The only positive I have with this movie is the animation, characters, and songs. Would’ve been better if they made it into a series instead, but than again we wouldn’t want something like what happened with Megamind this year.😬) 4/10. And see you guys in 2025!!! 👋🥳🎆

i liked the robot in the wild robot. sonic 3 had some silly moments that sometimes i didnt find very funny but it was stilla good movie, i just prefer the robot because i like roz(?) very much so i agree with your ranking pretty much.
In my opinion the moana sequel was kind of rushed, they kind of just added the bat lady, made her sing a song then ditched her. There was no introduction to Maui he kinda just saw the chicken and knew moana was there. The plot kept changing around and it felt super short honestly i didn’t think it was the best.

Transformers one, and sonic movie 3 are definitely one of the best movies of 2024 for me! I still need to watch wild robot since I’m hearing a lot of people saying how good that movie is!
I'll definetly agree with some people here with saying Sonic Movie 3 shouldn't really count as Animated if the only part that is Animated are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow. As for my Favorite of 2024, it's Probably the Garfield Movie (me being a cat lover did help) and end credits with random cat videos got me in the feels! 2ND would be Kung Fu Panda 4 and 3RD is a toss up with The Wild Robot/Mufasa and Inside Out 2.

When I saw the wild robot this year, I just wished I watched it in theaters, like, I was on the verge of crying from the middle of the movie untll the movie ended, and that was a first for me. If I watched the wild robot in theaters I probably would have cried

Transformers one, and sonic movie 3 are definitely one of the best movies of 2024 for me! I still need to watch wild robot since I’m hearing a lot of people saying how good that movie is!
I would recommend seeing it in theaters, it's coming back for a short time (might just be one day? idk?)

I'll definetly agree with some people here with saying Sonic Movie 3 shouldn't really count as Animated if the only part that is Animated are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow.
As for my Favorite of 2024, it's Probably the Garfield Movie (me being a cat lover did help) and end credits with random cat videos got me in the feels! 2ND would be Kung Fu Panda 4 and 3RD is a toss up with The Wild Robot/Mufasa and Inside Out 2.

Hey Chilly, is my first time replying and I hate to say this but I just think Inside Out is a better movie then The Wild Robot because I find it more interesting. Plus out I just think that The Casagrandes movie should be in the top 10 because it’s more colorful. But hey it’s your list and your opinion.

When I saw the wild robot this year, I just wished I watched it in theaters, like, I was on the verge of crying from the middle of the movie untll the movie ended, and that was a first for me. If I watched the wild robot in theaters I probably would have cried

@KalebSturek-y8g because sonic tails knuckles and shadow are cgi characters they look live action and both ivo & Gerald robotnik are human characters and they have a lot of screen time in the movie

@KalebSturek-y8g I only mentioned characters not locations because most of the locations in sonic 3 are from the real world sure there are original locations like the gun base that shadow and Maria were in ivo robotnik’s robot crab the chao restaurant the gun base that was in London and the space colony ark but all of them took place on earth even counting space

I personally wasn't too fond of how Sonic 3 was handled and just like the first 2 movies the humor and actors is very offputting but The Wild Root was absolutely emotional, beautiful, a lovely movie.
