Did you propagate it by just putting it in water?
Thanks! I've a very leggy dracaena that I've had for near decades. Its held up by wire and hooks in the wall. I want to prume it back but I dont want to hurt it!
I have had a cutting in water for 2 months and no roots. Its alive and look the same as when I put it in the glass of water.
So after the top cut rooted, the bottom part still did not grow?
Mine died .it was over watered 😢... Well . Now I have a reason to go plant shopping 😂😂
You certainly do.
So once its pruned off the stalk and its put in water and no roots have grown, does this mean its going to have to stay in water from then on??
I saved one from a neighbours rubbish as it was root rotted. New soil with lots of bark. Never been happy after an initial growth from the repotting. I thought the substrate was off but now I'm researching maybe it's too dry and they like humid, warm spots?
Should I use sticks to keep it standing tall?🎯❤️
I don't, but mine is outside and normally grows pretty strong. This one may need more light.
Its a tree, it should stand on itself. They grow 5-6 meters tall in nature. If your cant stand on its on its either because it recieves too little light and its thin, or its in a wierd lowlight spot that makes it stretch out towards the sun and make twisty shapes that makes it fall over by itself.
Just bought 2 for 15$.
Wow, good deal.
That plant looked miserable..
