    Can I just say a big THANK YOU for saying that? I'm hardly an obsessive PotO fan, but I swear it feels like a part of my soul dies everytime I hear or read someone say Gerard Butler was anywhere NEAR decent, much less the best, as the Phantom.
    The same goes for Emmy Rossum, though at least she wasn't terrible, just... serviceable as Christine.

    I'm just like Ramin. I've never taken a single lesson in my life. So what I did is try to mimic him, then wound up deepening my voice. Earl Carpenter said I have, and I quote, "a very strong voice matched 'for a role such as Phantom'." And Ramin said that I'm, and I quote, "moderately 'out of pitch' but with a very strong voice" and suggested I take lessons, which I intend to do

    POTO Rule #1: ANYone who claims Gerard Butler was the "all time best phantom" is not a true Phantom fan. I don't know a single Phan who would claim he is best... the Phandom pretty much detests that movie... at least aside from the part with Christine's father. ;)

    Thanks so much for uploading this interview and other LND videos!!
    It's bittersweet to watch this April 2010 interview, while knowing that the London LND production closed on August 2011, and the LND dvd featured the Melbourne cast. But Ramin is a fighter and the sky is his limit.

    I actully thought Gerard's acting work was really good in POTO! And he really can sing, but not as how the phantom should sound, i think he had not enough experience with singing to be the phantom but that doesn't make him a bad phantom. Anyway i know i found my angel of music; Ramin :D

    @inlovewithKStewart
    Michael was pretty good, but Ramin's lighter more agile voice better matches the description from the novel l'Phantom de l'Opera by Gaston Leroux. That is the official original source.

    @audioajunkie
    That is absolutely true. All their voices were autotuned. BOOOOO. Get real singers like Ben Lewis, Hadley Fraser, and Ramin in there, to name a few.
