Honestly kind of want to see Godzilla: The Animated Series
I have seen this on Netflix but I think it’s gone

@@ODJJ-77.83 why its a good series
Same
you already did a nigel death scene joke, you're now obligated to review Godzilla the animated series.
also review every Nigel's death in that series along the way if you cover godzilla the animated series and give a personal rating on how Nigel gets destroyed loool.
Rating Nigel's deaths is a good (and funny) idea to add to the animated series review. if it wins the vote I'm defiantly gonna include it.
Here’s a fun fact so did you know the giant octopus was actually similar to the Godzilla versus King Kong giant octopus
Lol

Godzilla animated series
The Axor monster was my favorite kaiju in the entire series. He was definitely the most frightening looking and sounding enemy of the bunch. That particular episode was drawn and animated very well too. I would like to know what animation studios draw and animated certain scenes and episodes b/c some look much better than the others.
Axor sounds exactly like the seaweed monster wtf?
same
i was obsessed with this one episode monster as a kid
Very good character
Axor was probably the one decent kaiju that was created for this show, most of the rest are either really generic or just less-interesting expies of existing Toho kaiju.
7:06 This is why his guardian monster license was revoked.
You saw *Vrhano* animation of *"Godzilla vs Axor😏?"*
Indeed.
One of the only few cool Hanna Barbera monsters, glad vrahno used him
I loved Axor from the get go. Not only his design and powers are cool but his story is definitely something you'd find in a Toho film from the 60s. He has a place in my heart alongside my favorite monsters from the franchise Anguirus, Baragon and Varan.
Here's hoping Godzilla: The Animated Series wins. Also, loved the Nigel death scene gag. He was the Kenny for kids.
poor nigel he always dying
Godzilla The Animated Series
It's what the '98 movie deserves: a redemption arc.
I wanted to see Godzilla the animated series it has some great and cool looking monsters
Same
@@ODJJ-77.83 Bruh. What exactly is bothering you?
As much as I want to see The King Kong Show get it’s time in the spotlight, Godzilla the Animated Series holds a special place in my heart.
Island of Doom is easily my favorite as well. Probably the most Godzilla-like episode of the whole show.
sucks this show was never allowed to use other Toho monsters. it would have been cool to see what King Ghidorah and Mothra would be like in the HB universe
Well if you think about it, the Power Dragon was as close to Ghidorah as u could get
@@JulianRodriguez-sn6nr I mean if Ghidorah only had one head, sure. :D
Here are my ideas for Toho Monsters that could have filled the roles of some of the original monsters in this show
Firebird-Rodan for obvious reasons
Eartheater- Baragon due to similar appearance and burrowing abilities
Megavolt Monsters- Titanosaurus due to a somewhat similar appearance, aquatic nature and it would have been a cool reference to how there was going to be two Titanosaurus'
Colossus- Moguera due to how he was the only Toho Robot at the time that somewhat matched the appearance of Colossus
Great Watchuka- Ideally I'd say King Kong, but as that'd be incredibly difficult either Gaira based on appearance or King Caesar due to also being a guardian monster
Time Dragon- Gorosaurus for obvious reasons
Giant Octopus- Toho's Giant Octopus
Power Dragon- King Ghidorah. The Power Dragon just needs to be yellow/gold and two more heads
Giant Black Widow- Kumonga for obvious reasons
@@jackhamilton9604 Oh, exactly. a lot of them were obvious "inspired by" characters who while legally distinct were... very reminiscent.
Hmmm Axor, the Gravity Goliath, the seaweed monster, and that space centipede are truly unique monsters though and quite good.
@@marhawkman303 can you think of any other original monsters that could have been replaced by Toho monsters that existed at the time?
I'm gonna be honest, I never even knew these episodes existed lol. Shame I never saw them when I was little, I would have loved them. Also, great video! I love these types of videos so it was certainly a fun watch!
I never knew these existed either
Classic media was only able to get the first season on three dvds. These aren't well known.
The Cyborg Whale is neither a cyborg nor a whale. Discuss. 😉
Wait a minute
I'll pretend it's like a mistranslation.
It’s a vib-ra. Tor
THAT'S A LIE!
We have been lied to....
3:35 -- Seeing Godzilla vs. Master Splinter was really on people's "bucket" lists?
If you made it towards the end then you know what this comments for. VOTE AWAY!!!
You should do the Godzilla the series it’s better than thism
Plz Godzilla the series oh also I’m first
I go for Godzilla the series 1998 cause u showed Hanna barbera Godzilla destroying h.e.a.t and nigel which that’s a hint at 21:56
Kong Kong Kong please do Kong
Godzilla the series
I remember seeing Island of Doom very vividly when I was about 5-6 years old. It was definitely my favorite episode. I absolutely lived for this show when it aired back in the day, as to a 5-6 year old mind Godzilla was the most powerful thing imaginable, and the TV episodes were much more digestible than the movies for a young person.
1:53 MICROGODZILLA
11:17 VALLEY OF THE GIANTS
13:21 MOONLODE
23:56 BONUS: GODZILLA VS. Y2K BUG
24:53 Conclusion
Add these timestamps just for reference.
Pretty interesting that the best enemy monsters (Axor and the Golden Guardians) and best episode (Island of Doom) were all closer to the end of the series
The weird thing is if you look at HB's other cartoons they used to be pretty good at coming up with striking (or at least bizarrely memorable) monsters. Half the stuff on Herculoids, a bunch of Space Ghost's monsters, Jonny Quest's sea monster, spider robot, Turu the pterodactyl, and the (not so) invisible energy monster, they knew how to make good critters at one point. Just makes the lackluster Godzilla designs all the more disappointing. Assume a lot of it had to do with staff turnover - they were notoriously cheap and their glory days were late 60s, early 70s - but it's still pretty sad to see.
Godzilla the series
The Beast of Storm Island and City in the Clouds were my favorite. Axor and the Power Dragon could have easily passed as Toho designs, would have loved to see them make a cameo in the Japanese Godzilla movies.
do you like godzilla singular point?
Will you do the GodzIlla
1998 animated series?
My Headcanon: The Deadly Asteroid was originally going to be the prequel to the Thundarr series.
1998 animated Godzilla show. It's got some interesting designs, and awesome storylines.
It's pretty crazy how the 2nd season just went so down hill from the first. Almost 75 percent of the monsters are just "normal" giant animals. The original monsters though are stand out great though. But man, the bad episodes are just bad, and the good episodes are just great. There is almost no inbetween here.
And my vote is for the King Kong show, only because info on it is way more scarce than the other animated Godzilla show.
Do Godzilla the animated series please
It is this show but better.
Yep
Thoroughly enjoyed your reviews on both seasons. Very well done. Thanks !!
17:49 The “forced perspective” shots of Godzilla walking that HB used in an effort to make him look bigger never looked believable to me, even as a kid. They just make him look goofy, like if someone squeezed all of his innards from his torso into his legs 😅 Plus, it always reminded me of the hippie “Keep on truckin” guy by R. Crumb 😆
thanks for doing this video it was nice to go down memory lane lol. my vote is godzilla the animated series.
Man I hope it’s Godzilla the animated series
I love the editing, it's hilarious! 😂
19:50 To quote an episode of MST3K, “Space is warped and time is bendable.”
ayyyy a man of culture
Another vote for the Godzilla animated series! I'm so glad you did this one, this show was my childhood back when my age was still in the single digits, lol. It was awesome getting to re-live it through this review. :)
I never actually knew about the Godzilla animated series until a few years ago, but I loved the Godzilla film it was based on when I was little so I'd love to see your honest take on it. Very fair review & ratings, I subscribed to see more from you :D
Great review man! Micro Godzilla and island of doom are my favorite episodes. Keep up the great work!
Godzilla the animated series has my vote.
The funny thing about "Microgodzilla" is that Marvel Comics used the exact same idea at around the same time...right down to having Godzilla fighting a rat. He gradually grew back bigger, fighting the Fantastic Four at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, Devil Dinosaur back in Marvel's prehistoric past, and then finally (back at full size) the combined forces of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and SHIELD on the streets of New York. :)
24:15 It was an actuall bug, just that most PCs where patched or updated
3:11 The closest we’ll ever get to a Godzilla vs Nezura fight 😄
Edit: 3:27 I stand corrected 😯
I'll be honest....i've never seen season 2 of Godzilla! Dunno how I've missed them on Cartoon Network as I watched every Super Chunk Marathon showcasing the big G. Thanks for reviewing and showing me there's more episodes!
Also my votes for the 98 Godzilla series!
Seeing the Walrus in the meteor episode couldn't be an accident
I'm kind of disappointed in the 1999 Godzilla vs. the Y2K-Bug special. Because based on how little you mentioned of it, I would have assumed that the short was created in an attempt by Cartoon Network to jump-in on the Advertising Craze for the release of Godzilla 2000 that year. It would have been a great way to do it; bringing back this American Godzilla cartoon to signify the return of the original Japanese Godzilla to theaters on American shore - especially after...the Tristar incident. Plus both incarnations of Godzilla were _green;_ seems fitting enough.
Anyways, I'd like your take on the Tristar Animated Series - Godzilla: The Series. I recently bought the entire series on DVD and binge-watched it with my friends. And surprisingly, the show _really_ holds up. It not only redeemed the movie in a lot of ways in my eyes, but it took me right back to my childhood days where I absolutely _loved_ this incarnation of the character. It's so good that I can fully recognize the creature on display _as_ Godzilla.
So yeah, I'd like you to do that one.
Do Godzilla the series next
Been binging your vids for the past week, your channel is exactly the type Godzilla content that I've been looking for. Do you have a discord server for the channel? I would totally join! Keep it up dude! Best Godzilla content on the site!!
Ikr
Definitely do the Godzilla animated series.
I've been waiting for this
Do Godzilla the animated series pls
Axor's hypnosis didn't work on Pete because it requires a "clear mind". I guess the pain from sinuses prevents that.
Or the Nyquil high...
Love the idea of this jungle temple hermit man Bumlum having a padlock for his bamboo cage.
I like the way that you talk about the hanna barbera godzilla series, I like you sound editing.
Definitely the Godzilla animated series
I’d love see a sequel or something to this with more Godzilla monsters in the HB design like ghidorah or rodan
Yeees! The Beast of Storm Island and the Island of Doom are my two favorite episodes of the whole series. Funny thing is when I was a kid I use to think Cobra from Island of Doom was the same Cobra from G.I Joe.
11:14 killed me lol great editing
Do a review on Godzilla the animated series
I’m so glad it’s out
4yr old me running to my parents room after seeing something that looks like a monster: 3:46
Godzilla the animated series is my personal favorite, and still one of my favorite versions of Godzilla in general. I would vote for that personally, but I'm equally interested in that Kong one.
Cool review
16:24- Yes, there is such a thing as "Lucid Dreaming", where you are aware that you are dreaming and can sometimes control your dreams.
3:17
Aw, Godzilla is so cute when he is small!
Stop,please stop.
@@cringelul Um, no.
1998 Animated Series please!! Woop! Woop!!
You killed Nigel
You have to avenge him by doing the Godzilla animated series... please
How did he “kill” Nigel?
And when?
When I was little, I used to watch the first season a lot, but I didn't know there was more episodes than that first season
Godzilla the animated series definently
Going with Godzilla the Animated Series
Dreamzilla: is out of the water for one second
Also him: NEED WATER!!!
I love Axor.
The Nigel getting destroyed always gets me
You should review Marvels Godzilla! I’m sure it’s something not everyone has seen or even heard of.
With Godzilla being treated as an anti-hero or flat-out villain these days, many of these premises may work for a King Caesar feature.
Could you give an example of how Caesar would work in one of these plots?
Do the animated series based on the 1998 film next!
Re Marvel's two year Godzilla comic: yes, it is awesome, and well worth reviewing if you get a chance. This includes the grand finale arc, running several issues, of SHIELD using Pym particles to shrink Godzilla down to a hopefully manageable size. (This fails.) Marvel introduced their own Red Ronin mecha (based on Stark technology), who has gone on after the series to have some cameos, most notably as Stark's fortress housing his Iron suit army in the Earth X maxi-series.
Seconded. It's a bit hokey in spots but has some interesting kaiju designs (particularly Batragon and the four alien warbeasts), a neat mech in Red Ronin, the first appearance of SHIELD's purpose-built anti-kaiju helicarrier (which has actually shown up elsewhere after the series ended, as did Red Ronin), and a load of guest appearances from various Marvel characters. Well worth a look if you can find copies cheap.
@@richmcgee434 Getting color copies is kind of essential, but harder to do. The omnibus is in black and white, unfortunately, though maybe there has been an improved release? (Not that Herb Trimpe's art looks bad in b/w, but still.)
@@jasonpratt5126 Honestly didn't even know there was an Essentials compilation. Trimpe's probably better than many artists in B&W (let's face it, coloring tech was garbage back then anyway) but still be better in color.
Godzilla the Animated Series! Please and Thank You! If not, the King Kong Show would be Fine.
Voting in for Godzilla 98 series, plenty of mutated kaiju creature's that pose a threat to the world, even getting some human villains for H.E.A.T. to deal with
Godzilla the animated series, just to keep in conjunction with your nigel death’s joke
goddammit guys, let's vote for The King Kong Show, it's a one-time oportunity for it to be talked about! god knows when will we ever get another chance to see that show
Godzilla the animated series please I think it's underrated
I'm going to put my vote for Godzilla: The Animated Series, as that show was part of my childhood.
Paper finz fantastic job on the godzilla hanna barbera reviews you did part 1 and 2 great job i totally agree with you all what you said and giving grades on each episode i think there was 24 episodes in all and dude your hilarious funny very entertaining how you broke down all godzilla hanna barbera cartoons 👍. My favorite monster though on the godzilla hanna barbera series is the gravity goliath episode moonlode i know you liked axor I think alot of people liked axor but i liked the gravity goliath and with that being said i hope your next cartoon or series review is godzilla the animated series that was on fox take care and thank you for the godzilla hanna barbera series review you did a fantastic job great job .
Godzilla the animated series
I found out that this episode, island of doom, that inspired cobra for gi joe back in 1982 when hasbro was reinventing gi joe for the 1980s.
I loved this show
Great news! The official godzilla youtube channel will release all of season 2 on their youtube channel!!
That moon monster feels like a showa era Ultra kaiju more then something from Godzilla.
Anyway, tough vote there. I’ll choose Godzilla The Series but the King Kong show is something I’d like to see one day.
Hey there, nice work.
The reason Y2K wasn’t a complete disaster wasn’t because the fears were unfounded, it’s because engineers across the globe worked to make sure it didn’t wreck us.
FYI!
Do Godzilla the animated series!!! Then Kong!
5:05 that octopus is from King Kong vs Godzilla, Frankenstein vs Baragon and the War of the Gargantulas
Do Godzilla: The Animated Series next, with a Nigel death counter xd
Godzilla the anime series is it good series to watch and I loved it and I love your contact keep up the good work 👍👍😎
Do Godzilla: the series next !
When it comes to the Cyborg Whale, the premiss is virtually identical to an episode of Star Trek Voyager, but somehow they did it better, mostly by making it a torpedo that threatens to blow up a planet and it indigenous population, and making one of the crew members the one who built it and thus the only one who can disarm it.
The Y2K scare was more over computers rolling over from 1999 to 1900 rather than 2000. People thought it would delete their bank accounts or recorded history because the account didn't exist yet. :p Then somehow people with no idea what computers are thought it was a bug rather than just a date thing and had weird ideas like it would set off all the nukes in the world. It was all pretty funny.
I wanna see Godzilla The Series (1998) o haven't seen that show in a long time
The Red Lizard Things From The Macro Beasts Episode is Anguirus. Can't convince me otherwise
finally, another episode I'm addicted to....reasons
In the series finale, looks like Godzilla is fighting The Winter Warlock from Santa Clause Is Coming To Town!
Now I can't stop thinking of "Island of Doom" re-imagined as taking place in Sombertown and COBRA being led by Burgermiester Meisterburger.
Finally, an episode when God-Scrappy Doo is not useless
20:44 So does this mean the series is part of the Gen 1 GI Joe/Transformers/Inhumanoids universe?
So all of those shows have the cobra terrorist organization?
@@DinoRicky Its a bit more complicated then that, I'm gonna try to keep this short but, it might end up being a novel any way so here's a jumping off point
First off GI Joe and transformers were produced by DIC for Hasbro, When Hasbro switched to Sunbow, they added the Inhumanoids series so they could launch a third toy line, and all three shared several side characters.
GI Joe and Transformers have the most connections including showing Cobra Commander living on the street fixing Black market androids for spare change in a post movie episode, some Autobots and Decpticons had GI Joe vhicle forms, and the GI Joe operative Flint leads the international military force that supports the Autobots (Though under his real name so not a lot of people realized back in the 80's)
The main thing connecting Inhumanoids to the other to (besides Hasbro eventually saying "Sure, they're all connected") is that the leader of the hero team in Inhumanoids has the same name as and a very similar history to the GI Joe character Ace
With all the times they get caught up in a storm, you have ask if the crew just isn't very good at their jobs.
Am I the only one who remembered the Godzilla power hour had 2 seasons??
