  • XUAV Talon Pro Maiden. Very efficient, under 4A minimum cruise current. CG at 65mm is the most rearward I would recommend. Might be safer at 60mm. More stable with extra weight of 2 x 4S 3300mAH.

    One of your viewers mentioned the poor fitting hatch. Check out 8:15 and you can see the hatch popped up possibly 1 cm? This would create a significant amount of drag and a resultant pitching moment on this very light and low drag plane. If it popped out when you gave it a quick burst of throttle it may account for that quick pitch up! I think the hatch system mod is a must! Great videos as always!

    i was thinking about getting this for an fpv platform, but decided not to once i had sen it. Its got to be the most unfriendly fpv designed plane iv seen. No specific cut outs or areas to mount camera,s ect. At least with the old Talon it was set up for fpv with dedicated areas.

    • @JaviRP97

    • @iforce2d
      @iforce2d 3 года назад

      I seem to recall it was both, in a way. I concluded it was the wing flexing, which was interfering with elevon movement somehow. Placing a spar in the wing along the section where the elevons are reduced the problem to almost nothing.

    • @CP_FPV
      @CP_FPV 3 года назад

      @@iforce2d the video u made about it was great. I also noticed it about 5 years ago as my brother bought the FX79 and I flew it a few times. Very odd! Mine have been easy to launch and fly, but they are light weight

      @@AndrewNewton Mine is 1700 g. Engine thrust is 2700. I thought maybe it's contre rotation from too powerful engine. Tried to fly with 900 g thrust - same issue. Even on autolaunch - same issue. Weird. Other wings I have , fly normally.

    Anyone else feel XUAV screwed the pooch on this one? A little too late? And all the "hype" with this thing for months and now finally we're seeing proper flights... The plane just seems meh.... You would think they would "modernize" the new one and make it more FPV friendly and integrate some of the common mods (Mark Q stuff). But still in 2020 this plane seems like it was made before modern FPV equipment existed.

      Especially when you see options like the AR Wing Pro that have so many user friendly features that keep today's FPVers in mind. This is a refresh and nothing more.

      @@eNau-tilus I'm so glad I bought the AR Wing PRo, going to by one extra but then the Kit version. One long range and one for speed!

    It looks to flying bomb , be careful with the news laws about drones in 2021 😁

    Lol... at trim it down a bit... beeeeppp beep beepp beepp beepp... maximum trim rate.
    This looks a lot more sexy aerodynamic than the ZOHD DART... for example... but not as aerodynamic as a flying wing.
    Looks kind of like a V1 Flying Bomb

      Trim it all the way! Land and trim some more!
