The heavy relic job was quite nice. I would have saved it off and just done another body. Those guitars are great, thank you. Those are good inputs, I also made a guitar and had to learn to fret level a few high spots. You are amazing confident in doing the finish yourself. Pretty awesome. I guess I should try that next time
Thanks Russ! Yeah I did consider getting another body but to be honest, it looked really good on camera but up close I could see quite a lot of the tooling marks etc and after a while it was bugging me which is why I decided to refinish it. Sometimes I wish I could go back to it 😂
@@AlfieVaughanMusic is there a video of the refinish to this medium relic? from the video it looks really clean. hopefully up close its as clean as well. did you just spray on more nitro finish and then sanded it to smooth it with what was before?
@@lcglazer I didn't film the second refin but I'm doing it for a third time soon 😆Ditching the HSS and going to a traditional strat layout and changing the colour to tahiti coral instead. Will film it and post a video. But no I didn't go over the old one, I stripped it back to the wood and did it from scratch again
