Using the Broncos and the plank is productive and safe. Even if it were a bit slower the difference in time is still faster than an injury takes to heal! You have to automate and get lean to exist today - it saves energy I enjoy your channel because I always learn something new or get good practice reinforced:
It's a ton of living space (and should be pretty sound resistant, are there any other insulation/sound proofing details going on top or bottom of the I-joists?), and sure you've got a lot of lumber, but you guys save so much labor and time on the installation that it makes a lot of sense to "overbuild". My father-in law has a springy floor around his kitchen island. Unnerving.
Good grief. My heart goes out to you. Drinking a gallon of the stuff the night before and the next morning it gets harder and harder to swallow. But very important diagnostic procedure.
Have you done a wood framed garage floors before? How does it feel? How have they held up? I think cars floors are supposed something like 40psf.which is minimal, But I'm very curious about the movement of the floor assembly when the cars are coming and going.
Yep we have quite a few times in the last 30 years. The slab itself essentially removes any deflection since it's "floating". Think of it like a giant panel resting on the framing. Hoping to get the slab done in May. Stay tuned 👍
Yikes! I hv been there done that offered the “T” shirt & refused! Oh well it’s over brother? I did notice there was no dancing or James Bond rolls out of the Lift? No Skipping either!
@@granterickson9294 Good god , ok then use a piece you cut off as a spacer. Really you type out that response instead of saying geez I didn't think of that.
In this video you are training Kyle, but in the lake shore build you say that you and Kyle have been working together for years. Are you using old footage or is this a different Kyle?
45?!?! Dude! You look great!!
Love the content! Thank you for sharing!!

Joist cut and install is as fast as it gets, with absolutely no wasted handling.
You got it any tips 3:17 for a Forman starting a framing company?
Have you ever tried using a prazi beam cutter for gang cutting over the chainsaw?
yep back in 2002. Didn't find it worked very well.

First time ive seen framing a floor for a garage lol
Im curious how that works.
How does that support the garage slab? What's the product on top of the ibeams? Some type of metal flashing?
You should be feeling great, you are all clean inside 🤣
What positive placement gun are you using?

Apprentice carpenter hear thanks for the experience 😂
Anyone that compares walking top plates to working off a solid platform I'm walking solid platform every time
On the joint hangers why not grab a block of 2x4 to use as a spacer?
Its 1 3/4” I joist and if you were to stick it in for spacing the the hanger has locking tabs so you won’t be able to remove it.

👍👍
What nailer are you using for the hangers?

So the keen Fort Wayne’s turn out to be not as comfortable as those boots you wearing in this video?
I just got the Fort Waynes and love them. This video was shot before I had them and wore the KEEN Utility Cincinnati's. Love those too.

Two different guys
That was old Kyle, this is new Kyle. Lots of Kyles
Positive placement guns are always "a little finicky"

This one is less annoying 😁
A machine never calls in sick or hungover or even worse injured😎
although they do sometimes sleep in during winter.
What happened to the other guy?
